The 'Z' has gone..

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but is anyone else disapointed about the use of the 'Z' button being taken out of The Twilight Princess?

I suppose it was never really used in OoT or WW, I just set my ocarina/wind baton to 'Z', but still, it's a tradition, and I want it to return.

Has anyone noticed this? What do you think?

I don't think it really matters sure I want it, but would it make a big difference in the game?! NO!

isn't it in the game as a help button so its just gonna be like Navis button in OoT

Yeah, it is...and what is up with that? You don't need help in a zelda game, you need to work it out yourself.

Some people do need a bit of help at times it would be better as an item button like before.
I won't use the Z button too much if it's meant to help you.

i think its only on bosses though, or maybe if your going the completely wrong way (like in Metroid Prime)

I don't care, the Z button has been on the N64 as the target button, and as an item button for GC,

But it really doesn't matter to me at all, I just want the game.

please tell me we are not going to have another navi. I liked Tatl much better, far less annoying in my opinion. And the Z button really doesn't matter to me.

I think it'd be good to see another fairy . Just makes it all the more fantasy-ish.
Although there has been no talk of a new fairy, and no screen shots show one. So there you go, doesn't look like there will be.

I wouldn't sweat it. They need things to go along hastely at E3 and they put the help in there to sped things along. Also because there is no booklet or tutorial. I'm 99% sure this will be used as a 3rd item location.

I only used "Z" for the main instrument. So it doesn't matter to me.

Odd. i used Z for the windwaker too. Probably cuz it showed ulp better on the purple. Any way, why the heck does it matter if its not going to be on the next game? Not that big of a deal, I mean, i think thats going to be the LAST of our focuses when we start to vegitate on the new TP game.

As if anyone frquently used the Z button for items anyway. Of course everyone used it when it was there. I only tended to put items that were kinda not that important there anyways... like the sail. I'm sure it won't be that bad.

Plus, does anyone know what the d-pad is for? Is it for the quick selections of items or something?

^yeah but i didnt get why they'd have it down there on the dpad, and just have it on the right direction part. Didnt the demo of WW at e3 a couple of years ago have the Z as a hint button?

If you watch E3 2002 footage of TWW, X and Y are the only item buttons. The Z button didn't appear onscreen in the clip I watched, but I assume it was for hints then as well.
So don't panic. It's just an E3 thing.

I think it's funny how in all the 3d Zelda games they come up with the wierdest control schemes and always settle for something conventional in the end.

I HOPE there's not going to be another Navi!!! I HATED Navi!!! And I haven't played any of the games since OoT... I don't know, I just haven't owned anything of Nintendo's since N64. Athough, I DID buy Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Metroid Prime for Gameboy Advance and borrow a friend's GBA for a while... But, I'm going to go buy a GC and get back up to date on my Nintendo gaming... But, I won't use the info button... When ever I play a game with an cheating info button(not important info)... It collects dust until I get a game that uses that button for something else... And with Navi I only listened when they forced me to.
