How do you think TP will do compaired to OOT and WW?

I made a mistake on the poll. #1 and #4 are kinda the same thing. #1 can be deleted.

The gaming industry is far larger now then it was when OoT was released. It's pretty much a given that it'll sell more then OoT - tWW already did.

And, well... it's ben a few years sicne the Wind Waker, there are more Gamecube owners, and there's more hype for TP then there ever was for tWW. I would be shocked if it sold less.

EDIT: Your poll options give the impression that you think that OoT sold more then tWW. This is not the case, unless I am much mistaken.

It used to have on the pages dedicated to games how much they sold but its not there anymore. I'm pretty sure OOT is still the best selling Zelda game.

I think you may be mistaken. I don't have a source and the numbers aren't exact but I believe that these are the rough world wide totals:

Wind Waker: 3 Million
Ocarina of Time: 7 Million

The industry is bigger, but single titles do not seem to sell as much these days. Especially Nintendo's franhises. Due to the realistic graphic style and hype, I would expect Twilight Princess to sell more than WW, but not as much as Oot. The best selling game ever is SMB 3 with 12 million, and I believe the best this generation was one of the GTAs with about 10 million. Once again, my credibility is low because I lack a source, but I believe these to be roughly correct.

Probably. Like I said, these are estimates. I know they're close, and I know that SMB 3 was the best at one point.

No, The best selling video game off all time is Super Mario Brothers with over 40 million copies.

The Twilight Princess will be huge, obviously. Will it be as huge as Ocarina Of TIme, doubtful. Nintendo has lost a lot of their casual fanbase, which would gladly buy this game. Everyone who is anyone (that owns a gamecube) will get this game so they're gonna be making a loooot of money? How much....hmm...more then the 3 million Wind Waker made Im sure of that.

I think because Nintendo has made us wait soo long for this game to come out, It has been exposed to a larger audience than any of the past games, and because the general population likes a more realistic style of graphics (this is just my observation) then it will sell more than WW. Now for it to sell more than Oot, then I believe that it will have to only be shown too 10 million game cube owners, and they will buy it automatically. Well, I dont know I just think it will sell more than both of them.

Anyway, WW sold 3 million. That's quite a bit. OOT sold sold seven mill. That's alot more. Will TP sell more than OOT? Doubt it. Highly.

The reason? There's alot of idiots that go around saying OOT was the only good zelda. (altough they all play the same. So if you like one, you'll at least find the others decent.)

I dont think any zelda game can out beat the legendary Oot which was the 1998 game of the year but it will kick wind Wakers but so hard it will fall off.

I think TP will outsell OoT. Alot of people say they didn't get into Zelda until OoT and when they saw we were taking reserves for TP, they were really excited about it and a few were like, "OH MAN I GOTTA TELL MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS!".

Honestly, I think the main reason OoT sold alot was because there hadn't been a new Zelda since SNES. Old school Zelda fans were freaked out about OoT and new gamers saw that this game would be/was a pretty good game, so they got into the whole Zelda fad. OoT made the series more popular and it helped gain a bigger fanbase. I think these people will most likely buy TP, and from what I've seen, it will gain even more fans.

But... that's just me.

Hopefully TP can top OoT and be the new Zelda game to beat. I'm sure it will sell better than all the others, except maybe the original.

Yes I remember that. But what I read for MM was higher then that. But it still gives the general idea.

I think that Nintendo has two chances to get the gaming audiences back:

The Twilight Princess
The Revolution

It will generate more because Nintendo will make sure it's a good game, they need to recapture lost fans from Halo and Xbox. They won't let it go to pot.

I think it will beat OoT mainly because it's darker looking. Sadly, people are drawn to that kind of stuff.

But hey, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Revo.

I think that TP will either equal, or beat OoT in terms of sale... Why?

well, at this years E3, it was one of the biggest attractions, even xbox abd ps2 fanboys will take note of it, from my peers I hear word of them actually planning to buy the affordable Gamecube in order to play this Zelda.

And well, those who loved OoT, but turned away from nintendo after tWW, will probably comeback when TP comes out.

Also, there are simply more people than there were in 98'

Not really sure if it can outsell OoT, but it is guaranteed to sell more than TWW. I'd bet my GameCube on it.

I have no doubts that this game will sell more than The Wind Waker, as the casual video gamers will have taken note to this. The price of a GC is cheap, a second hand one, next to nothing. People will buy for the sole reason of this game. Many people were turned off by The Wind Wakers 'cartoon' graphics. Many will be brought in by the 'realistic' graphics of this game.

I doubt it will sell more than OoT. Nintendo's fanbase is no longer that large.
