Tp's rating

I was just wondering what is TP's rating going to be. In the trailer Link uses finishing moves so it looks kind of violent. Post your thoughts about it's rating

Re: Tp's rating

It's not like I know for sure, but the general concensus is that it will be "T". Probably not higher, and not lower.

Re: Tp's rating

It will either be E10 or teen but only because of the realistic graphics and dark atmosphere. If it were not for that it would be E or E10. Afterall the enemies blow up when you kill them.

Re: Tp's rating

More than likely T rated. Super Smash Bros. Melee was rated T, and the violence in that game probably doesn't even compare to the violence in Twilight Princess. Not that TP is extra violent or anything, but...yeah.

I will guarentee a Teen rating. I know you cant take my 'guarentee' as seriously as say....NINTENDO...but still. I KNOW it will be teen. If it's not everyone in this entire message board can quote me saying that I'm a complete IDIOT.

Re: Tp's rating

I'm guessing it'll be more violent and gory. So it'll probaly be
1 THE MOST AWSOME ZELDA GAME EVER!!!
and 2 rated T for teen.

I just can't picture like 5-8 year olds playing this game based on the trailors I've seen so far. So it'll probably be T for teen and not E for everyone.

Re: Tp's rating

IGN has it listed with a T rating, they also changed the boxart.

But they're probably speculating.

Lots of people think it'll be fodder for the new E10 rating - then again, I think Smash Brothers Melee might get relisted as that too.

Re: Tp's rating

The ESRB will most likely give it a T rating, for violence (such as the stabbing move) - One NOA said somewhere that they were going to gear the language around a more mature audience (teens.)

Re: Tp's rating

I dont believe that Zelda will get anything under "T rating" just because of the whole sequence with the little boy hanging on the bosses pole. He looks dead. So, because of this scene, I conclude that this game wont be rated anything under "T"... well maybe they could make it "E-10".

Re: Tp's rating

This same thread was posted after the second trailer and almost everyone said it will be E or E-10 and a few said Teen. But if anyone here knows Nintendo they are huge on making games that they create accessible to all age groups and Zelda is no exception. For one, the game isn't nearly dark enough for a T rating. If you play OoT, when Link goes to the future it is VERY dark, with those Re-Deads sucking the life from you and Ganon's castle looks like it came from the depths of hell. I mean that is VERY dark. But it still had an E rating. What I am trying to say is, T games usually are much darker then this. But then Prince of Persia comes out and it is not hugely dark either nd it is rated T ,that beginning scene is a bit gory in a way, but especially the way the enemies die is the same as WW, with a puff of smoke. The story is darker, though, which was the real reason why it was rated T. I have a feeling this game is going to be E-10 because it just doesn't seem dark enough and I doubt that the story is really dark enough. But I am SURE it won't be E... well that is my spiel... c ya...

Re: Tp's rating

They don't generally do reated "M" games unless it's REALLY... REALLY... REEEEEALY bloody. Like in Halo, you could shoot the little dudes for hours and watch the blood fly, but I don't think Nintendo would ever do that... also, a "E" COULD, but most likely won't be done... a few of the moves, like you said, were kinda violent, and "E" games hardly ever have violence... let me brainstorm until I can think of one that does!

Re: Tp's rating

For Dr. Cheese:E is everyone, T is teen, and M is mature, 'k?

For everyone else: T. T,T,T,T,Teen! It's dark, disturbing (hehehehech), and somewhat violent. Oh ja, does anyone have a screenshot of the boy on the poll?

Re: Tp's rating

Thank you very much Deku Prince, and with that I say TEEN. Or in england 12+. I say this for all the reasons previously mentioned in this thread. Like, it's more violent and it has a much darker theme etc.

Re: Tp's rating

Since the new E10+ rating was put in place I think there will be games like SSBM put in that category, but I still think TP will get a T rating anyway. Besides the graphics, the atmosphere also seems edgier.

Not to mention turning in to a wolf looks like it really hurts

Re: Tp's rating

I think this will be a Teen. Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos had T ratings, and I think Skies of Arcadia and Lost Kingdoms had Teen ratings too. And this game is going to be much darker, so definitely a teen.

Re: Tp's rating

Just look at this: http://www.esrb.com/esrbratings_guide.asp#symbols
Look at teen, it says:

The only think I can see that this new zelda game has is "may contain violence" and that is about it. I haven't seen any "suggestive themes" or "minimal blood" or any of those other things for that matter. Also look here.
There it says:

Now look at E 10+:

It says "fantasy or mild violence" which is sxactly what this game has and I doubt they are going to put "Mild Language" or "Suggestive themes" in it. It just doesn't seem, right now, that this game is going to get a T rating just because it is dark, it is not nearly dark enough. I belive that it is going to be E 10+, and just try to convince me that a 10 year old wouldn't be able to play the game so far.

Re: Tp's rating

I think it will be something around E10 or T. I don't care about the rating, so long as it isn't M. I wouldn't like that.

I think it's going to be T. Has the E-10+ rating been established yet? I've yet to see a title rated E-10+.
