Draining Hyrule (WW and Baten Kaitos End Spoilers)

Well, I think there is going to be draining Old Hyrule if not in this game, in the future. I feel the theme of the Hyrule flooding is like the continents drifting into the sky in BK, something that was only meant to save the people from a taint.

In Baten Kaitos, the nations hovered in the Sky, long enough for the earth to be cleansed of its poison, so it was never meant to be a permanant thing, then the continents rejoined the earth, and people unevolved "wings of the heart". So the world became what it always meant to be, people returning to the fertile lands below.

I think it is the same with WW. The ocean is cursed, unable to support the fishing and seafood economy that the Great Sea needs. The races are scattered, and it seems they had to evolve to keep up with the new climate, with the Zoras becoming Rito, and the Kokori becming the Koroks. I think this is simalar to people evolving wings in BK, an evoloution that is nessicary for this tempoary change. There should come a time when the people of the Great Sea must return to their fertile, blessed homeland.

I think the Godesses had no choice to seal Hyrule, as I don't think are almighty, they are slaves to the Triforce, and must obey its owner's wishes. Ganondorf used his shard to terroize Hyrule, so the Godesses could not destroy him. He was using his piece to conquer Hyrule, so the Godesses found a loophole, they sealed him in his own wish, to rule Hyrule forever.

Now that the triforce has left Ganondorf, he is no longer under its protection, and now the Godesses have the option of draining Hyrule, if another wishes it.

Well the idea of hyrule being unflooded in this or any other game is not new, but good thought process behind this though. I personally do not think hyrule will be unflooded because at the end of wind waker the king said this wasn't their hyrule and told them to FIND a new land of their own. In the closing scene it shows Link and Tetra setting sail to find a new land. I could, of course, be mistaken though. Again, I have to give you credit for the idea.

I always felt what he meant was that their land can never be Hyrule, it will be a new land, as there is only one Hyrule, there can never be another. I also thought that the Great Sea has to drain, its the fact that country has not simply "changed" like the world in Baten Kaitos, Hyrule has changed for the worse.

Just thought of something:

The Dark World.

The Dark World is the Sacred Realm, the mirror of Hyrule. It could never be the mirror of the nation Link and Tetra founded, Hyrule is the parrelel twin of the Sacred Realm, they could never be split apart.

But we don't really know if the Sacred Realm is just a mirror of the land mass that Hyrule was a part of, or if it mirrors the entire world that Hyrule is a part of. In other words, what's to say that there isn't a parrellel of the land that Link and Tetra find in the Sacred Realm as well?

I don't understand...I don't have the GC, so I haven't played the WW. Could someone please tell me about this HoT business and Hyrule flooding and Links relations? Are there multiple Zeldas and Links? I really need to understand this...

Yes there are multiple Links and Zeldas. The Zeldas are set over several millenia. I am sorry my theory just confused you even more, with both these games being on cube and all.

It wasn't you guys, don't worry. I just am confused. I recently became more involved with Zelda, before I had just played the games.

Ever think that the game might take place BEFORE TWW? OOT and TWW are hundreds of years apart, so this game could take place in the yaers between the two. Besides, if it has Ganondork in it, how could it take place after TWW, when Ganny was stuck in a freaking STONE!? But hey, what do I know, Ganny's come back from the dead a buhmillion times before, so I wouldn't put it past him...

I never said that TP will take place after TWW. This is just my theory about Hyrule's sealing.

i agree, i think link and tetra started another hyrule on another land i just cant wait for this game ugh

Actually the goddess flooded hyrule do destroy Ganon right? so Link and Zelda destroyed Ganon which later in time the great sea would be drained, after ganons demise. Thats just my theory though i know alot of people may disagree with me.

But Hyrule is in it. It takes place before WW.

Ya know what I just thought of something what if every hyrule and every story takes place in an alternate universe with a differnt Hyrule. EXCLUDING THE HYRULES like Oot and TWW, the ones that state there was a connection. Because if evry zelda game has a timeline Hyrules land form greatly changed and In the behind the rupees section it says Oot took place first so How come in TWW they omly remember events from Oot and not the other series. So TP COULD have nothing to do with TWW or it COULD be a sequel OR they'll start with the timeline theory here at TWW and continue its legacy. I know someone will disagree with me so please tell me what you think

I will have to contradict you with that, my friend because the Godesses were the ones that created the Triforce. They flooded Hyrule because Link never showed up to defeat Ganon. They had no choice (even though they are omnipotent beigns). The Godesses do have to fufill the wishes of the beholder with a Triforce Piece, however, they are not purely slaves to their own creation. That's basically how the Triforce works. Its the wishes of the beholder. The Godesses simply flooded Ganon with Hyrule to destroy him. He eventually rose up to the surface and a New Link and Zelda destroyed him. That was pure fate. Anyway, your theory was great. I totally agree that Hyrule will eventually rise to the surface as it once was. Nothing lasts forever, so I don't think the old Hyrule will stay under the sea forever (Unless Nintendo leaves it as is).

I heard BK sucked. Card games have never been my thing.

I think old Hyrule will be back soon or in the next game, if not it will be in a zelda game once in a while.
