Maybe this has been said before, but does anyone else think that there's a chance, from what we've seen, that
TP could be
TMC's backstory?
Although this could easily be metaphorical is
does talk about Hyrule almost being swallowed by darkness, and in
TP we see "the twilight" encroaching on Hyrule and making it all bleak and such. This of you who have seen the JEUX-FRANCE videos will have observed the darkness
actually spreading across the landscape and grabbing Link and pulling him in with amorphous hands that form out of its edges in a very literal way

.
Further there is the talk of monsters "appearing" through Hyrule etc., and sure enough those black, vaguely Tower of the Gods like tears in the skein of reality do deposit monsters into Hyrule. I am also of the opinion that Midna has a vaguely human Vaati/Minish look about her, and the Minish could I suppose have been said to "appear from the sky" if they too enter Hyrule through those portals.
Some theorised in the past that the Minish and Sacred Realms are one and the same--I think it's possible that in
TP the Sacred Realm (now the Dark World) is encroaching on Hyrule (as in
ALttP's backstory), beasts and such coming through it via these portals and this "Twilight Realm" appearing where the worlds of Light and Dark have been blurred together. If the Minish Realm is indeed the Sacred Realm then they could indeed bring help or whatever to Link. The fact that
TP Link seems to end up in a hat is a minor sticking point but really, not one I would consider a major snafu.
Of course there is then the issue of the Picori Blade being in the game, and in what way the Minish bring Link their "golden light force" (Triforce, obviously, as far as I'm concerned). Obviously the legend could be simplified and the reality is that they
help Link obtain/awkaen or whatever the Triforce of Courage (he has the mark on his hand in some
TP videos, after all.
AoL might set a precedent for this not actually meaning he has the Triforce but I'm certain that in the wake of
OoT and
TWW that it is going to in any future Zelda games), but, meh.
Obviously this is a whole lot of extrapolation when we don't really know the ins and outs of the storyline, but hey, it's a workable hypothesis for the time being. Thoughts?
