Mask in TP???

I have always liked the mask feature especially in MM. I was wonjdering if anyone would like to see mask or not in the new game.

I agree the changes were very good.
But as we haven't seen any other transformations and because you can't control the wolf transformation? It will probaly not feature any mask-changes.
Though it has been said that we'll have the ability to fly over hyrule. So if we will trough the eyes of your hawk or through a change is speculation at the time.

But as for your question I would like to change in a Zora,Deku,Goron again.

The Keaton mask was so cute, and I loved the Bunny hood.


Anyway Masks were fun, and they were more rewarding for a lenghty quest then yet ANOTHER piece of heart. Its much more fun to plop a mask on your head, admire what it looks like, and see if you have any new ablilities.

i think a new mask should be in it... it looks like an eagle mask but when link puts it on he becomes ... a griffin...

Sure why not? It doesn't need to be as elaborated as in Majoras Mask. Just a slightly more developed version of the side quest we had in Oot, it was great fun exploring how people reacted towards different masks. I felt that sidequests of the more involving kind such as this was exactly what was missing in The Wind Waker.

I think that would be nice, if they came up with new masks and didn't just recycle old ones.

It would be a good feature but should be left behind the MM.

Mmm. It would not really suit this game so much, as collecti masks are the kind of pastime children like, and since Link was a child in that game, it made sense.

But in this game there is a new adult Link, and besides, we won't be able to see any subtle or explosive expressions if he's wearing a mask will he?

I agree, I loved the mask theme on MM but I think it wouldnt really suit the game now it has adult Link, I think maybe a few masks would be ok (like oot) but not ones that turn you into somthing

hm, that's a VERY great idea. I really didn't think about it.

Maybe it could be a decendant of the happy mask man. lol

Getting some sort of "Special End Mask" if you do everything perfectly in the game would be cool, like the Oni Link mask you got for collecting all the other masks. Perhaps a more powerful version of the wolf, but one you could use when you wanted to.

I kinda like that idea, it doesnt spoil your game since you get it at the end and it would increase the replay value

awesome idea! it would fit, but why would link want a mask if he could only wear it at the end of the game?

there has gotta be some places where the wolf cant go and only link can get to and Vis-Versa so getting a mask that could turn into the wolf when ever and going to a unreachable place then using the mask you can explore that place as a wolf/link and maybe get a few hidden items or somthing

I think some kind of cloak would be nice, not a cloak that repels twilight (like Zelda's) but fabric made from the twilight itself. Cloak of Twilight or something. So that way Link could turn into a wolf in Hyrule, and maybe there is an Aurora Robe (or something) that turns allows link to stay hylian in Twilight.

I think that the "wolf" ability would be transfered into a mask or something else eventually so Link could transform outside the twilight zone. This might be used to add more puzzle elements to dungeons or allow access to secret overworld areas (heart pieces and equipment upgrades anyone?). This could also add another facet to the combat system because "wolf" link would have a totally
different moveset than regular link

I don't think Link will be able to change in a wolf outside the twilight.
Midna is also diffrent outside the twilight, and without her on his back. He's unable to fight off the monsters.

Besides think about it: Link changes to a wolf inside town, "It's a wolf!" "Kill it, kill it!"... Not a very good idea.

I would NOT like the return of Masks. I enjoyed the mask feature in Majora's Mask but to tell you the truth I wouldnt want to see it return. I thought that equipping the different masks was tedious and pointless. I much rather see the return of other equipment than Masks. Thankfully Nintendo is bringing back old items (with new twists, example: gale boomerang) and will also have new items.
