Queen Gohma

Has anybody seen a trailor where Link is chased by a scuttling giant cyclops spider? I think our royal highness, Queen Gohma has returned, since that is almost certainly her glowing eye. Plus she is an arachnid.

This is definitely her best incarnation!

I hate spiders, so I think this battle will freak me out a little, and I don't fancy the prospect of Gohma Spiderlings. Shivers.

So I wonder how you adminsister the "Coup De Gras" this time? Which weapon will work against her?

You would think after all this time she would know better to wear some kind of eye protection. Does she like having her eye poked out?

If it is her, that is.

Re: Queen Gohma

maybe the whole game will be an reincarnation of OoT, considered the bosses and temples, but with an axtra twist to it, that of the twilight. i Thought of this because I saw that somebody had written that LoZ: tTP takes place 7 years after OoT, echt boss could have grown up different or could have become stronger, guess guess guess....

Since TP-Link is not the HoT, i really doubt that.

Re: Queen Gohma

There are so many similarities, what with Hyrule Castle Town and all (I saw its entrance in Hyrule Field, just before Her Majesty made her grand debut) so I am suprised. I mean, if they don't even remember its name, how will they remember to rebuild the city gates exactly? The force of the water coming down would pulverize any buildings on the Seabed.

I hope it is Hyrule Castle Town, the music for it is one of the best Zelda tunes. I remember when a girl was lodging with us, and she left the room humming it.

Re: Queen Gohma

well we don't know if we have seen the entrance to Hyrule CITY (confirmed by Ejii Aonuma that there is a place called that) But we might have seen that.

On topic: I think the Gohma fight is inside a "grotto temple". I can't wait to play that part.
btw it looks like the spider in Lotr, but we shouldn't compare Zelda to Lotr.

Re: Queen Gohma

Shelob? Yes it does look like her.

Gohma is animated quite well. She scuttles just like a real spider, her jaws are waving hungrily and she is even slobbering. Poor Link, this is one zelda lady who is after something else of his.

Re: Queen Gohma

Yes, that weird glowing statue but apart from that, I think it has elements of all 3 3d Zeldas but mainly I recognize the N64 ones. Link running from Gohma is a bit like a reverse from Goht from Snowhead Temple. Maybe Link is leading her into some kind of giant rolled up newspaper, but I think he is really just does not want to be spidersnacks, and is running like the clappers. Not that I can blame him.

Re: Queen Gohma

I totally agree with you Loz_05 Why can't people let go? is it so hard?
It's the Die Hard OOT fans thats saying: I think the hero of Time is the hero in TP!
Stop making parallels with OOT! This aint a OOT Sequel (sp?)

Re: Queen Gohma

It might be, it almost certainly isn't.

Anyway, we wern't trying to assume this is OoT2. We were suggesting what elements of previous games were in it. I see a lot of OoT, because this Hyrule looks simalar. And its nice to see what we loved so much in OoT be revitalized for a new zelda, and a new story. I know I will be thrilled with this game, even if it isn't OoT2, and I know what I want for Christmas. This is probably going to beat Baten Kaitos as my favorite game of 2005. Sorry Xelha.

Re: Queen Gohma

I'll say, it takes so long to download a trailor (3 minute ones take like 2 hours) that I usually cannot be bothered. Anyway this is a good thing, I have nearly all of Hyrule to explore in technocolour, since I have only seen 1 trailor and stills! So I am wondering what secrets I will uncover in the next trailor. Don't worry I know you mean no harm.

People find OoT the best Zelda game ever. They have been comparing it with every new Zelda game since. The over the top fans, find that every Zelda that isn't like OoT is a bad Zelda game.

People always compare game series, or movies look at Star Wars. There is lots of discussion about the new triology in comparison with the old.

I found it already annoying with WW. People were saying "These graphics are terrible there notting like OoT this is sooo bad. Ow it isnt the HoT Link, this Link is soooo bad.

It shows that those people have a narrow view, and just won't listen to anyone who disagrees with them.

Actually MM is a sequel to OoT, Link goes to search for his old friend Navi, MM tells the story how Link filled his 7 years of his childhood the second time.

Re: Queen Gohma

Well I try not to be like that, but sometimes I realapse into my "In the good old days, fish girls were kawaii, and bug eyed old woman spat fire/ice at you."

I loved OoT (probably too much), but I try to realize each zelda game is different. But like a few other people have to do, I try to squash my fanboyism, but it somtimes manifests myself. Anyway I am going to look at TP as a whole new zelda exeperience, and I can't wait for X-mas.

Anyway back on topic, this is meant to about whether we think that giant spider is a new version of Queen Gohma. Or to, extend the topic further, you notice any other cameos/references to ANY past zelda games. So let's get back on topic. Thumbs up.

Re: Queen Gohma

I think that TP has SOME version of Hyrule. It's probable that there will be major differences. As for Gohma, I think I'll just call it "The TP Spider" for now. It may not be Gohma, after all.

Re: Queen Gohma

It looks like it but not proof about it...yet. Though if she (Gohma) appeared again it would be a bit repeatative as she has already appeared in OoT and TWW.

Whatever it is it gona taste our sword for sure!
