Imprisoning war( not foolish)

I have reason to belive that Twilight princess will be based on the improsoning war.

As some of you know when it was stated that this game was after Ocarina of time it was later reavealed to be a mistake. That means that its after Windwaker which is my first reason.

At the end of windwaker Ganon was frozen in time and he lost the triforce.
I believe that when he was he was unfrozen he gathered a band of thieves and gained the triforce again.

Now in a link to the past they said that evil power flowed from the dark world and into Hyrule. I believe that this evil power greatly changed Hyrule and turned it into the twilight realm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After all when Link entered the twilight realm he turned into a wolf(which resembles his personality) which is similar to the affects of the dark world.

The true spirit of delight, the exaltation, the sense of being more than Man, which is the touchstone of the highest excellence, is to be found in mathematics as surely as poetry.

(Of course unlike math poetry is useless)

Re: Imprisoning war

What about the Seven Sages?

There were seven cloaked figuires and one of them was really short (guess who that was!). But then again a few other charas would not fit under that itty bitty robe, and their descendants would not be humanoid.

Re: Imprisoning war

I'm still slightly skeptical on ZU.net's placement of Wind Waker in their continuity timeline, but maybe I'm thinking at too small a scale. There are several reasons to believe that WW would be the final story of the Legend of Zelda as the world is basically in ruins, Hyrule is destroyed, Ganon/Gannondorf is either dead or imprisoned in a statue, and that the King told them that the new land will not be Hyrule. Of course if all of the other games are placed between Ocarina and WindWaker, then the intro legend would contradict that. Continuity is pretty complicated when you're trying to line up games that were never originally intended to connect to each other, but that's what make things fun.

I think I had a slightly similar yet complicated theory in another thread....I wonder if I can find it...

Edit:
here it is:

We know that Gannondorf will escape into Hyrule because he does so in Wind Waker, but Ganon never really appears in that game aside from the bizzare puppet thing. At this point I belive Ganon is locked away somewhere.

Fitting it into continuity, Ganon should be in the "Golden Realm" turning it into the "Dark World" either during or shortly after Wind Waker, as Gannondorf has supposedly died (he got stoned at the end) and the Triforce of Power is returned to its original resting place. Ganon would find it and use it to alter the Golden Realm into something that is quite similer to the Twilight Realm that we see now, perhaps, after he's taken the triforce of Power from Gannondorf and escaped he's escaped from the Sacred Realm (as it's referred to in OoT), he begins spreading his influence over Hyrule as he will in the Dark World after this Link defeats him? After that, Gannondorf will regain the Triforce of Power and escape the same way Ganon did, but only into a now flooded Hyrule.

I may just be wildly speculating (which I probably am) but I think the whole self betrayal thing is kinda funny.

EDIT: Oh yes, this is assuming that TP takes place after OoT and before WW.

Re: Imprisoning war

OoT was already said by a nintendo rep that it was the imprisoning war, also TP is before WW and after OoT, 1up.com and gamespy made a translation mistake when they said after WW (gamespy is also the same website that complained of an annoying "bug" where after link would hit the enemies the game would freeze for a second, like it was trying to figure out what to do next). Gamespy are idiots.

Re: Imprisoning war

Just to let you know it was never stated that it was a mistranslation when he said it was after Oot. Besides I don't see how any translator could mistake the title ocarina of time with wind waker, so I doubt it was mistranslation.

that would be cool. But that would mean one man(link) fighting many many creatures.
