The Twilight Princess: Storyline Theory

Okay, I'm not saying I broke into Nintendo's fortress of armed men that guard the game stories using Sam Fisher’s gadgets, to give you the information we all would die to know, but based on my research I've come up with a basic idea of what the story could be like.

This game will take place between OOT and WW. It has been confirmed. The story will feature Link growing up as a sheepherder or something like that. When Link follows a boy into the wilderness the child is kidnapped long with the mayor of Taoru Village's daughter. Link is chosen to go to attend the meeting of the towns' chiefs, as the mayor's daughter has been kidnapped. On his way he uncovers the Twilight plot and sets out to stop it. After one or two dungeons he finds the boy that was kidnapped and rescues him from the enemy. He then goes to the forest temple and defeats the evil inside it with the Fairy of Winds (Gale Boomerang). After, he visits the Twilight realm of Hyrule and is transformed into a wolf (like he was a bunny in ALTTP), he is captured by the enemy and is rescued by Minda, a creature in the realm that wants him to help her. She is believed to be a lesser evil, and teams up with Link because she can't rule the Twilight realm when someone is already ruling it. That's all I know for sure, and this is where my speculations begin:

The mayor's daughter is the Zelda in this game because I think she looks like the hooded Zelda in the trailer.

The temples in this game are very similar to the ones in OOT in terms of theme, although game play will be different.

We may see Fado and Laruto (the Wind and Earth sages from WW) because Fado's name has been announced to appear.

Link's new combat system may force him to use a death move to finish off most opponents.

Link will gain new abilities from various animals in the game.

The main bad guy is Ganon because the Twilight realm may just be the Sacred realm corrupted by Ganon's evil.

Link has some feeling for the mayor's daughter or vise-versa.

It is just his speculation, but it seems like that is the basic of gameplay in the game and just small bits of information that would surprise you throughtout the game you didn't actully tell us anything.

i played the game at E3 and i can tell you that the robed figure is zelda and not Ilia who is the mayors daughter. also as for fado, he looks NOTHING like the fado in WW. another thing to ponder is none of the people in the village had pointed ears. and we can already see from the demo that link is sexually aware and has feelings for ilia and vice versa.

no, it hasnt been confirmed, when you have 2 conflicting messages your only option is to wait. If you talking about going to nintendo.com and reading that crappy article, then it seems as though you havent done any research at all.

Sure, collins rescue is midway through the game, but how do you know the placement of the forest temple?

how do you know that midna wants to rule the twilight?, where did you get this from??

the only resemblence I see is the fact that Ilia and zelda both have 1 head, 2 arms, and 2 legs.. the Ilia has short hair while zelda has long long hair. also, their facial structers are massivly different along with their skin colours

no no no, If you look at the demo, after link gets rammed by the goat, the mayoy comments on how Fado must've let the goat shed/area open again... When you play the goat hearding mini game you can see the man with brown hair is obvoiusly in charge of the goats.. put 2 and 2 togethor, the brown haird man is Fado.

2) dont beleive everything you hear, please use criticle thinking more often
3) take note of every little details in the interveiws, the trailers, and the screens before you start to make speculation

i hate to burst anyones bubble hoping its not after OoT and before WW, but its confirmed on nintendos own sight. i had a hard time accepting the fact and then i realised, multiple endings. after all wind waker was just one legend of which the people spoke. so hopefully the games not spoiled before it even begins.

I haven't been listening to rumors, I did actually reaserch some of this. While a great deal of it is speculation, I got none of this from Nintendo.com but from the igm videos. The thought that Laruto and Fado were in it was just an abstract idea. In the trailers, the disigners do say that the game does take place in between OOT and WW.

As for Zelda and Ilia, we cannot tell whether they are the same person because the trailer only showed a small part of Zelda, the face, so you cannot say that the Zelda in the trailer has long hair.

the reason why zelda is wearing the sheikan death robe in the trailer is because she is trapped inside the castle in the twilight realm and she tried to stop it and failed. ilia is the mayors daughter in the village and gets shot in the back early on in the game. they are not the same person.

Time for my second rebuttal-

Sure, collins rescue is midway through the game, but how do you know the placement of the forest temple?

In the demos, you see that Link has five hearts, not three, so that may show that the forest temple is not at the beginning. Also, if the designers put the forest temple at the beginning, that would just be recycling OOT.

how do you know that midna wants to rule the twilight?, where did you get this from??

I'm speculating this on the idea that Minda is evil, I read that on this site, and why would she help Link? Something powerful already rules the Twilight Realm, so she must think Link could remove it. Why would she do that? Maybe to control it, I don't know. As I told you, much of the above is speculation I piled up after seeing the trailers on ign.com.

I was wrong about Fado and Laruto, I admit that. I thought it would make sense in the time that the game is set. Please post any questions you readers may have. I apologize for any misunderstandings I may have created and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about my research.

I love multiple timelines. This can lead to conflicting views, which can lead to flame wars, which are fun to watch.

yes, in the forest temple link has 5 hearts, but did you notice, in taoru village... link has 5 hearts too?.. so this means that the forest temple probably starts somewhere in the begining. perhaps aonouma is implying that this will be a difficult game by giving link 5 hearts to start out with... or, the whole 5 hearts idea was just for the demo. Either which way, your second rebuttal proves nothing.

there is some official artwork that got released a little before E3, it was in a EGM article about TP, it has artwork of zelda, and in it, she has long hair.

Really twilight realm may be the sacred realm did'nt they say thatt if a greedy and power hungry person entered the sacred realm that he would change into a monster does that mean that the new link is evil

Link is not evil i mean come on link is ever evil,and the twilight realm is not the sacred ream because if it was that would mean ganon would have gotten the triforce andhe did not so the twilight realm is a complty different thing.

Sure. You could say EXACTLY the same thing about Zelda and Tetra in TWW.

I thought the whole Tetra/Zelda thing was a bit dumb. I just kept worndering is Tetra really Zelda reborn (making Tetra just a mask) , or just a quickie magical surgery change? It just was a bit confusing.
