Re: Fishing for a Boss

I dont like the idea of fishing for a boss, but fishing on a sidequest for a huge monster, like a boss battle, but not. That would be okay. Fishing wasnt going to be a part of the game to begin with, so a huge boss battle involving fishing is most likely not going to happen. I was origionally stating that legendary monsters could be found, hunted, and killed for prizes and a water monster could be one of them. I dont think that link could kill a giant seacreature on the little boat he was on in the screenshot. If Gyorg could make an appearance, I dont think it would show you its toungue, it would show you its teeth.

Re: Fishing for a Boss

I think it would be cool if it is like in the movie Godzilla where there is a fisherman that is fishing and then he says like: Wow! This is sure a really big fish! And then that big lizard Godzilla comes and eats him. It could be like that but with Link (but then Link wouldnt be eaten up) and then he kills it. Or maybe Link is fishing with a friend ad the lake monster eats his friend. And they could also fish in lake hylia. Then it could be a temple were you are in the monster searching for your friend. Or maybe a water temple, you get out of the monster and you look around and you see your in a temple, under the water!

Re: Fishing for a Boss

Bosses have to be big. Link wouldn't be able to pull one up.

But what would be cool would be if the boss were to pull Link underwater and have him fight with Iron Boots+Zora Tunic, or pull him into the water and have to fight him in the water (I'd like to be able to use weapons in the water).

Re: Fishing for a Boss

I think they could make it kind of interesting...and unique. Maybe you stand on an island or a rock in the middle of a lake, and there's a fish boss swimming around. You use a special kind of bait or lure, kind of like a "bomb lure," and cast it into the water. Once cast, you go into a kind of first-person-view from this special lure underneath the water, and you have about five seconds to move this lure around in first person view and hit the boss before the thing blows up and it returns to Link's normal view above water. Once you hit the boss, it comes up to the surface and swims around, maybe shooting some kind of fire blast at you, and before it goes back underwater it jumps over you and hits you with its fins. While it's swimming and shooting, you can use arrows to hit it, and when it's about to jump over you and go back in you can hit it with your sword to avoid being hit again...and then it repeats.

Sorry, it's early and my imagination's going haywire, but I could see that being somewhat amusing.
