Lightbulb Detailed observation of Zelda 05

From what i have observed by watching the Zelda '05 trailer...

1. There will be a large field, a vast desert, and a murky forest.
2. There will be a day-night system. (the sunrise, and it shows both day and night)
3. A weather system (at one point there is a raining wasteland)
4. A large central castle
5. A castle village? (at the end of the trailer, when link is weilding his sword and putting it into it's hilt, look behind him and there are other large buildings with lights on)
6. The castle has a triforce and bird engraving on it, who knows what that means.
7. There are some pig-like enemies like bokoblins and moblins. (perhaps ganon is their commander seeing as he has a pig-form as well)
8. There is a great amount of evil (the large, almost army-like group of bokoblins)
9. The backflip, jumping slash, spinning slash, and normal sword techniques will be implemented as well as the sheild during battle.
10. There is a horseback fighting system. (AWESOME!!)
11. There will obviously be dungeons with block-pushing puzzles.
12. A fire-like boss? Probably a minor first-dungeon boss.
13. Finally, at the end of the trailer the master sword is emphasized as it spins onto the screen and goes through the "Z" in the zelda logo. Perhaps the master sword is implemented?

And thats all that i have gathered, and most likely all the information that we have for this new game other than the fact that it takes place post-windwaker (NOT NECESSARILY DIRECTLY AFTER, BUT AFTER). What are your opinions on these ideas? Have you developed any other conclusions from this trailer? Give me your thoughts.

**EDIT- I just thought of another, there will be realistic forests with trees that you can actually walk around through unlike past zelda's where forests were more like paths with 2-d tree pictures or boundaries on the side that were unacessable and very unrealistic.

you got some great ideas, but the problem is, they have been sound 1000s of times. other people already came up with this, and this is one of the thousand threads discussion. the ideas are nice, but i dont think this thread will survive long

Not only that, but everyone knows this from one source or another. For example, I have seen the trailer, and I have a poster with screenshots that came with my Minish Cap Guide, published by Nintendo Power.

The more I read things like these, the less I can wait for the actual game. I hope at the E3-expo of 2005 more of these things will be revealed.

Another thing we learn from this trailer is that the camera still glitches annoyingly whenever you hit an enemy, like in WW.

Re: Detailed observation of Zelda 05

About the triforce on the castle, I think that could mean it takes place in Hyrule, because Hyrule is the only place that has the triforce and ever kind of speeks of it. why would some other foriegn land have the triforce on their buildings?

this is not necessarily a completely new world with new races and new ways of life. remember, this takes place after "The Wind Waker" which leads us to believe that it's the land Link and Zelda were to search for. so it's not a foreign land. it's just a new land found by the same people who lived on the "old" land.

SO, it's the same beliefs brought from one land to another, passed down from generation to generation. so the Triforce MAY not be the source of power and MAYBE the sages will not be around to protect this land with these people, but they still believe in it and put the symbols as a sign of belief.

much like many of our parents who were immigrants from another country, and came out to North America. they came to a new land, but brought their beliefs and nationalities with them and passed them down to their children and they to their's. so the beliefs stay with them wherever they are and whenever they live. the family tree never loses the bloodline.

even if they are "glitches" we saw those in a 10-months old trailer
they may have changes that already

Re: Detailed observation of Zelda 05

by "glitches" do you mean the split-second freeze that is part of the gameplay of Wind Waker?

I really think it's meant to be there, and I like it, it adds to the hit.

Re: Detailed observation of Zelda 05

That is not a glitch, it's an effect to enhance the hit.. like Stuit said. I think the effect comes from Ocarina of TIme. I am not sure though. Nevertheless, I like that effect and I'm glad that it's here to stay. It's subtle but good.

Waker of winds, most of the things you listed are very obvious. It's also obvious that Link will wear green clothes this time too and that the game is in 3D. Why point out these things? No offense though.

This is just a re-cycle of the old OoT logo. That thing with the sword and the spin were used in the trailers for OoT (And WW too I believe). I doubt that this will be the final logo for Zelda'05, unless the game is directly connected to OoT - which I also doubt.

Now you ask if we have developed some conclusions? Yes, I have. My conclusion is that the uber-OoT fanbase is going to get dissapointed with this game. The rest of us will probably love it, just like we love all (most) Zelda games.

Yeah, it probably is meant to be there. I just find it kind of annoying. Though I guess once you get into the game it isn't that noticeable anymore.
