oh i gotta question!!

What ever happened to the majic spells of A Link To The Past? like the ether and the other 2? are they ever gonna put that kinda thing back in the game? if yall know i'd like to know too. thanks.

They already put dins fire, farores wind, and nayrus love in the oot. But Im not sure if your talking about the new zelda for gc or not but if you are I dont know.

The earthquake and lightning causing ones (Quake and Bombos I think) made a return in Four Swords Adventures

It would be really killer if they made a handful of spells for Z'05..

Well the "spells" in OoT and WW are a joke. Except the fire spell in OoT. ALttP introduced them and it ended there. I sure would want them to return in some game, preferably Zelda2005. They were so useful..

Sure they were usefull, but they made fighting easier. All the medalions(sp?) from ALttP were too powerfull, and they were limitless (all you needed was magic). If magic spells/medalions return in future games, I'd like to see it the way they used in in FSA....limited (so you would have to fight more instead of relying on magic so much). In FSA you could use the Quake or Ether Medalion if it's being carried around. And those medalions are limited throughout the game (not like the other items). In all the other games (but FSA/FS) Link could store ____ amount of Bombs and Arrows. I think there should be a "Medalion Pouch" too. Since Medalions would be limited (I'm hoping), Link wouldn't have to use them imediately (like FSA), but save it for a later use.

I'm not sure about you guys, but the Shield Spell in AoL saved my butt quite a few times. I wouldn't mind having that spell in any future games. :cool:

Actually we're talking about all the spells and if we're going to see them in future games. The ones we've been talking about are Bombos, Quake, Ether (all from ALttP), Din's Fire, Ferore's Wind, Nayru's Love (all from OoT), and Magic Armor (tWW...which is essentially like Nayru's Love or Cane of Byrna).

I'm surprized that nobody has mentioned about the spells from AoL...but I can understand because those spells can easily be replaced by items from Link's arsenal...

As I said, the Shield Spell was very useful in AoL. I could use that. Maybe even the Jump Spell too.

Ooops I'm sorry my friend, I must have missed you saying that. But like I said earlier, "I can understand because those spells can easily be replaced by items from Link's arsenal...". For example the Shield Spell can be replaced by a sheild, and the Jump Spell can be replaced by the Roc's Feather/Cape.

Maybe, but the Shield spell increases your defense a little more than a normal shield would, or maybe that was just because the shield in AoL couldn't defend squat.

I hope to see a definite return of the OoT item spells. I think I would like to be able to use them in some way in correspondence of Z'05.

i think there are two main reasons the medallions never made it into 3d
1) the special effects wouldve taken up more space and wouldve KILLED half of oots dungeons though with the gc they have more space for that kinda thing...
2)make the game to easy my god people tww was easy enough

Well I would like to see spell like dins fire and nayru's love make a return but I personally found farores wind useless. I would like to see the sheild spell make a return also, as stated above it also help me out alot.

the shield spell was in tww but it was called magic armour-you get it from the eskimo
and yes the goddess spells were nice they should make a return

Dins Fire was useless almost, except for some puzzles. It hardly ever actually affected the enemies. Farores wind was useless for me. Nayrus love came in handy a couple of times. Ether madallion was cool, not the most useful but cool, Quake madallion i dont really remember too well >_<, and the bombos madallion was cool, but a little too strong. Magic armor was cool but kinda useless, i never really reeded it.

The three magic arrows were cool: fire ice and light: quite useful and quite cool looking

I would like to see a comeback of them, but a better execution in-game. Like, a better way or reason to use Farores Wind (never used it but once to test it out, to this day). Maybe even two different modes, such as maybe bring back the Magic Wand and you could shoot a concentration of the spells; A fireball and/or flame thrower for Dins Fire( Like the Fire Rod), a shield that traps enemies in one spot temporarily for Nayrus Love, And for Farores Wind throw them around for a few seconds with the air, similar to Psy Ops where you can control the throwing around depending on where you point the wand.

And make each one take up a different amount of Magic, and not all the same except the "super powerful" light arrows. I also like that idea of a medallion pouch.
But I would just like to see a better reason to use them, and more instances when they would be useful. As in more puzzles that require them ,and it actually effects stronger enemies. But make them take up much more magic, that way you couldn't have an atomic explosion in every room of the dungeon and move on.

meddalions only worked in 2d theyll be hard to imlament in 3d and personnaly id rather have some other new item the meddallions wouldnt be "new"
