Goron/Zora

Do you think that the Zoras and the Gorons will rebel against Hyrule? I think they must because they start out as allies in Oot but then later become enemies in ALttP. What else would make them enemies?

The Zoras were the monsters that fired fireballs in the water.

Gorons were on death mountain and turned to stone when you hit them.

Re: Goron/Zora

Well how could you say they were against each other when they were not even close to each other in ALttP.

Re: Goron/Zora

There were Zoras in ALttP, they were one of the most irritating monsters in the game, remember the ugly "things" you bought Zoras flippers from? There were no Gorons though.

Hmm, now that I checked... They obviously are, they just never mentioned them in-game.

Re: Goron/Zora

I dont think they were , because like Exadis00 said the gorons are sworn brothers with the hylians. And for the Zoras I dont think they would have any reason to rebel.

The monsters weren't Gorons. Check the trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It says they first appeared in Ocarina of Time.

Re: Goron/Zora

Just check out "enemies" in the ALttP section here at ZU.
They must've recieved that information from an official source, it can't just come out of nothing.

Re: Goron/Zora

Those little things on Death Mountain are not Gorons, despite what ZU says. They were introduced in Ocarina of Time, like someone else said.

I would like the LoZ/ALttP Zoras to return though. Like I mentioned in another thread, we should have both types of Zoras in the same game. The bad, cool looking ones and the kind, also cool looking ones.

It's not impossible. Remember how furious Darunia was in OoT when he thought that the Hyrule King had betrayed him. Ganon (Or someone else) could always manipulate the races in order to create conflicts in Hyrule. It would be interesting to see - if implemented right.

Re: Goron/Zora

It is possible that those are Gorons on Death Mountain in ALttP. They kinda look like Gorons, and remember that Gorons can look like rocks. When you hit those things on Death Mountain with your sword, they turn hard as rock. It is completely possible.

As Exadis00 said, they have a sworn brotherhood, BUT that can always thin over time. Look at France and the U.S. The countries were allies for a long time until certain events happened... Anyway, the next time you see Gorons are in the Oracle Series, and they have nothing against Link or Hylians in particular.

For Zoras, it has been thought that the Zoras in ALttP are not the same ones from OoT. The ones from OoT are called river Zoras, and may have been chased out by the river Zoras (the ones in ALttP). For all anybody knows, they could've gone to Labrynna or some other place.

Either way, I don't think the Zoras from OoT would attack Hyrule because they had a strong alliance, and plus the Zoras from ALttP really don't look like the ones in OoT. The Gorons have had an alliance with the Hylians and Hyrule for many years, anf it would take something extremely drastic for them to attack the Hylains.

Re: Goron/Zora

Apparently Nintendo did some mistakes. In LoZ they had Zoras (the same kind of Zoras you see in ALttP). Later on, when we are introduced with the "good Zoras", we are told there are two different races of Zoras: River Zoras (bad), and Zoras (good).

This isn't the first time that Nintendo has done this. They did the same with Gorons. Originally those little "Squirel-like" creatures on Death Mountain in ALttP were infact called "Gorons". It seems everyone has forgoten that in FSA both races of Gorons were shown in this game. However, we can't call them both "Gorons" or that will be too confusing. As of yet, the "Squirel-like" creatures haven't been given a second name (like the River Zoras have). So for now, call them what ever you like.

If you'd like to see the four different creatures (sprites of them at least), take a look at my attachments (note. The Goron one from FSA only shows half of his body. Believe it or not, that's the best pic I could find of a Goron from FSA).

Re: Goron/Zora

It would be interesting if they made "River" Zoras into a 3D setting. Like, showed how they took over the rivers of hyrule and pushed the ocean Zoras out to sea or something.

Plus I always thought the danger the Zoras provided in the original games was excellent, I mean, you basically had a really hard to hit enemy that constantly harassed you from the water where you couldn't explore well at first. It made going past any body of water nice and treacherous.

Really that's one of the big things the new Zeldas need, a sense of danger. These games have become too easy. Angry Zoras is a good way to start changing that.

Yes I'm very very possitive about this. Just like Stuit said before me "Just check out "enemies" in the ALttP section here at ZU". Everything in ZU is official. The only things that aren't official would be the rumors of upcoming games, but that's it.
