I've got a theory - you know how WW drowned the old hyrule and Link and Zelda/tetra went off to find and colonise a new mainland? Maybe this was merely to explain the big differences between the worlds of OoT and Alltp and all the other games.

While I'm at it I think the master sword got there merely by being washed away and the stone pedestal in Alltp had Ganon's old body under it (he got a new one with spells?)

I beleived that for qite a while. I don't belive that the master sword was washed all the way to the new Hyrule.

well, this theory needs some more info, but still how could the Master Sword got to the oher land? and then to a FOREST?
