Zelda Refreshed

Yet another thread about Zelda GC 2005...

How would you like this game to be presented?

Many people when they see a zelda game go "oh its the same, save zelda, kill gandondorf, free hyrule" Which is what the plot acutally turned out to be in Wind Waker, but would you mind that in the new Zelda game?

Do you think this new game is gonna be a refreshment for the series? Sorta start over with a clean new look? I mean, I wouldnt mind if this game was a regular old save hyrule and zelda and the triforce kinda thing, becuase its all new... refreshed image

(i hope you understand what im talking about)

Re: Zelda Refreshed

I wouldn't mind the traditional kill Ganon, save Zelda storyline, just as long as they do it good and in an original way. But if Ganon is in it, I want to see Ganon, I want to battle the Ganon from OoT again, that was the greatest battle from any video game ever and Ganon looked so freaking awesome. That was the one thing that pissed me off about TWW was that I didn't get to see a TWW style Ganon. If Ganondorf is in Zelda 2005 and he doesn't transform into Ganon I will be very mad.

if they used the same old story it would show that all they were trying to do with Zelda 05 is try and please the people who hated WW's cell shaded style, gamplay comes before graphics!(but lets not get into that) basically if would be a shallow mediocre game that isn't respected amount developers in the industry and in my eyes i'd lose respect for Miyamoto. it's been nearly what, 20 or so years since it first came out...and the story has only been altered a handful of times, example:Majora's Mask. come on think for a second due you really want to just have the same plot as every other Zelda! if yes, you really do, guess what go and play OoT ten times through like most people did, hopefully that will give you your fix, and hopefully you'll start thinking outside the box!(speaking indirectly)

Actually, story has nothing to do with gameplay. Gameplay, not story, is what the Zelda games focus on. In otherwords, I would rather have the same old story than the exact same gameplay. That's not to say I wouldn't want a new story. You make it sound like the story will make or break this game. If that is the case, you may be disappointed.

sry, but thats imposible.

Gannon has triforce
Link has triforce
Zelda has Triforce

No Triforce = No Zelda. Story turns to dust.

I dont care much about the story as much as I care about gameplay, but I WANT the clasic story, just with a few new twists. (which I think nintendo did pretty well in their other trifoced based games in the series.)

anyway, yeah, u cant have Zelda without Zelda + Link + Gannon, plot twists are great, like how in tWW the disguesed the trio as less important charecters untill about halfway through the game. A new twist would be nice.

Story turns to dust?! Did you not play Link's Awakening?

Re: Zelda Refreshed

I kinda like what they did with Majora's mask. They made it a sidequest to OoT and made it very original. A New world, new story, new bad guy, and new etc.. I kinda want that to be like Zelda: Realm of Hearts, but I do not want to be timed.

Hmm... let's think about all of the other villains they've come out with other than Ganon. Dark Link, Majora, Twinrova, Onox, Veran, and Vaati. Anyway, if they did reveal the Triforce story half way through the game, you're like "Aww, I thought the storyline was good up until now. They just ruined the whole thing ". Would you want that?

I know that is not the title, but it sound better then saying Zelda 2005. I made a threat about that saying that I am gonna call it Realm of Hearts because I am stupid and it sounds better then Z05. It was deleted.

Sorry, I didn't mean to get offtopic.

I believe my question was directed at 8 bit. Allow me to retort anyway.

The Minish Cap took place in Hyrule and didn't have the Triforce, Ganondorf, or even the Master Sword. It still worked.

Princess Zelda is all you really need in a Hyrule-based Zelda game.

Re: Zelda Refreshed

I personally prefer not to think about it, because the more ideas I get, the more likely I am to be disappointed with the final result.

I'd rather be pleased and surprised with an anticipated game than to be two steps ahead of it.
