I know what you mean. That is why I was so pissed when I first saw the Wind Waker, but I am used it it now.

Re: Graphics.

I think that the kind of drawing on Z05 and Oot are cool. I am NOT however, saying that the ones in WW are bad. i still think they are cool, but the drawind in Z05 are better.

Re: Graphics.

I like the OoT graphics the best. I really like the feel of it all, and it makes me think in a different way in terms of strategy than the other Zelda games.

Re: Graphics.

Something in between. That is OoT. It was realistic in the action side, yet kept cartoony characters. I don't want that to go away for ZGC.

Re: Graphics.

Hmm, i`m in pretty much the same line with PlasmaDavid, OOT had pretty well "balanced"
graphics. But if i had just to say realistic or not, i would go for the completely realistic line.

Re: Graphics.

Too realistic...that will feel weird. Like a full on adult Zelda...but Zelda has always been about finding courage from a child etc. Which is how good ol' Shiggy came up with the game in the first place. Having a game where Link is already a sword slinging Hero means practically no character progression, from an newbie adventurer to a true Hero.

Re: Graphics.

So that is, and i`ve actually quite been wondering the possible storyline, if the is no "the child phase" in the game. And sorry, offtopic.

Re: Graphics.

Let's hope it does retain the whole character developement from Link going from the usual guy, has to find courage to do all the killing and whatnot and turns out brave. Yeah, thats the Zelda games for you. Hopefully this won't drop it, otherwise the true meaning of the Zelda games is lots...anyway yeah.

Re: Graphics.

I think the poll has the right idea. Those darker graphics reminiscent of the greatest game I have ever played, Ocarinia of Time, are my choice. While the Cell shading was ok and did fit in with the context of Wind Waker, my prefernce is with a darker choice of graphics

Re: Graphics.

The dark graphics work for Zelda 2005, partly because of the power the gamecube provides, but personally, I would like something different in zelda. To somehow see the worlds of LoZ/AoL become fully realized in a 3D environment.

Re: Graphics.

I have no favorites when it comes to that it just gets better and better. I do have one peeve though. Has anyone ever talked to someone who has ever said "the Wind Waker had sucky graphics"? I think some peole have a misconception of Game Graphics and Design personally. I thought the graphics for the WW was excellent, fluid as was the OoT.

Sounds kinda shallow. Sure the graphics of OoT were great, but that was hardly why I - and many others - bought it.

Definetly. It's also very funny when people say that they only like high quality, high tech-level graphics in their games and for that reason think WW is crap.

Well, the WW graphics is technically very advanced and high. It's also very original.

I agree. People shouldn't judge a game by the graphics alone. They should judge it by the story, replayability and gameplay aswell. I liked the story in TWW very much.

Re: Graphics.

I liked the WW graphics, but that was because it fits in the game, with its humorous look. Plus, I found it very refreshing, after two look-alike 3D games. But now I'm longing to play with a realistic Link, and realistic environment. Therefore I'm very curious about how LoZ 2005 will look.

Re: Graphics.

I think realistic graphics are a lot better than cel-shaded. Lets say you're renting a game, one of the first things you do is look at the screen shots at the back. It the graphics are bad, you may not want to rent it. If they're amazing (Halo, Zelda 05, Stuff like that) theres a greater chance of renting it.
