If you could...

...Which new race would you add to the new zelda game? don't say something cleche-like, like elves for example lol. For me, i'd have to say that no races should be added than the ones that already exist I.E Gerudos, Gorons, Zora's, Hylians ect. If they missed one of the key races out then i would be peed off big time.

I just want to see the return of all the classic races from OoT and MM, the Gorons, Zoras, Gerudo, Kokiri, Hylian, Deku.

Knowing Nintendo, they'll just throw anything in without the slightest regard for continuity.

yeah, nintendo can be annoying that way. throw something into the dark without any thought for the future. I think that they should have all the races back, too.
they should add some kind of ganon's followers who aren't monsters. you know, sot hey could try to convince you to join up with ganon? (or vaati, depending upon who the villain is.)

Or Onox and Veran. They were way cooler than Vaati.

Hmmm all I'd really like to see:
Gorons because I love them.
Zora because I could just imagine seeing an underwater palace in the graphic art that Zelda'05 is using.
Rito because I would love to see a kingdom in the sky (that would be awesome. So far Zelda games have only applied any sort of kingdom in the sky from FS (I think), FSA, and tMC. I'd like to see one in Zelda'05 (with the help of the Roc's Cape).
And the Hylians (that's just a given).

There are soo many races in Hyrule, it's hard to choose which ones.

I don't really want the Kokiri's back.. They were cool and all in OoT and I liked the references to them in MM and WW, but please no more. The "Koroks" on the other hand, which are basically the same thing, I would want to see them with the more realistic graphical style.

It would be nice to have the Ritos back, they would also look very cool in the new Zelda.

Another thing that I would want to see are LoZ/ALttP style Zoras! Oh yeah!! They looked bad-ass and they were evil. Now in the new game, they could be a little bad as well and look like they did in the first games.. but Link could be accepted to their tribe by completing a quest or something like that. Similar to how it worked with Darunia and the Gorons in OoT.

As for a completely new race.. hm, that's a tough one. I would like to see new "people" rather than a new race. For instance, we have Gerudos, Hylians and Sheikahs. It would be nice to see an entire village (Kakariko?) with Sheikahs or just a new race in a new town. Considering that AoL had so many cool town names, and many of them got used in OoT.. Nintendo could borrow a name from there, how about Kasuto? A nice thing would be to use Old Kasuto from AoL, showing us how people lived there before the ghosts came.

EDIT: Now that I mentioned different people.. they could have different tribes of Zoras. First the kinder type from the N64 games and then the bad kind from the NES/SNES games. That would add a lot more credibility to the Zelda world, by allowing the non-Human races to have different tribes.

TMC had some good "new" stuff, I would like to see the wind tribe return as well as the tiny picori.
I remember the idea being discussed before, links "friend" being a minish, he'd hide in link's cap right by his ear, and as the game progresses, link grows up, and can no longer see the minish without the aid of a magnifiying glass

New race?That's a toughie.And Senap...I can't picture the Koroks with this graphical style.It just doesn't "feel" right.Kokiri,on the other hand, would be acceptable.Not that I want them in this game.I'd like to see more Sheikah though.They haven't appeared in any other Zelda game besides OoT,I think.They are cool.And maybe more Gerudos.

I see your point. But I believe that it all lies in the execution. I think it's possible to make the Koroks look very good with the more realistic style. Imagine small realistic bonsai trees running around.. wouldn't that be sweet? Like the talking trees in ALttP. Oh yeah! :cool:

My point of using Koroks instead of Kokiris is that Zelda needs more non-Human races in my opinion. To add variation. I mean, the little Kokiris look like ordinary Human kids and that is - in my opinion of course - not very fun. Although I see your point and agree with it to some extent, they [Nintendo] could make it look very silly.

The Zelda series seems to have plenty of races, but I still would like to add one more. I think one type of terrain that isn't a home to a race is a snowy/arctic area. An eskimo type of people could be interesting. I also agree that there could be an evil race that doesn't attack you. Other than that, just bring back Dekus, Koroks/Kokiris, Zoras, Gorons, Gerudos, Sheikah (possibly), Ritos, and Hylians. I can't wait to see what these races will look like in these graphics. Some of them could get a potentially large makeover.

Eskimo type of people would be cool. Some races from the past like the gorons/zoras should return but I want to see more of a focus on newer races. I want Nintendo to stop looking at the past and make something brand new.

I think they should rather have more of the new races, like those desert people in FSA. I think they were called Zalu, or something like that. What annoys me is that NO site that I've visited have given them any attention. Same goes for the Wind Tribe. I'd love to see a return of them, and tey should get a propper name. The Tokays and the Subrosians have also been used too little.

They should add a Nomad race where they search for food at night and stuff and you could fight some at night or something?

Zoras and Gorons are morst dear to my heart. But Having Ritos would be pretty cool too.

I think it'd be nice if they brought the Sheikahs back. It's not fair that they all just kinda...died out or something.. x_x;; Besides, they seem to be one of my favorite races for some odd reason..

i love the minish i think they are so cute but zoras and goron rule! if they could incorporate the minish in zelda05 it be cool but i know it be really hard to do. also i know you said no cleche types but i think link fighting orcs or orc like things or even uraki type things would be cool.

I would like to see the flying race that was in WW, forgive me for not knowing the name but I think that it would be cool for them to make a returm apperance.

Hmmm. Well, Hylians are elf-like and I'd love to see them in a mora mature and character developed way. Zoras, sprites, goblins, and orc-like enemies would be awesome.

Well yah that would be cool. Id add something called Drepcons theyd be green big and eat dirt but latly they ran out of dirt and took to eating each other someone should save them.
