Zelda 05...After OoT or WW?

The new landscape is land. Unlike what was in WW. Either the new Zelda is a LONG time after WW (meaning the whole ocean drained) or its actually Hyrule a little bit after OoT. What do you think?

it could happen after tWW. the land could be a huge island, like on LA. we live in countries, surrounded by water. basically huge islands, why can't link?

I think its after tWW, whether or not its directly after tWW is up for debate, but I highly doubt that this game comes between OoT and tWW

They could have found the New Hyrule don't you think?

I hope it is after WW. In fact, I hope it is the last in the timeline so we can get a fresh story.

Although it's a bit freaky that the entrance to Hyrule Castle looks just like the one in WW

There are no other Zelda games were two places look identical like that (I think)

^but thats the thing, take a closer look, they arent identicle, print out the trailer screen shot, and then go and play tWW, the castles, though similar (mildly) are not the same.

Perhaps link and tetra used their knowlege of Hyrule below the sea, to create a the new land. They might have used their memories of their past adventure to create a Hyrule in the image of the late King daphnes.

Maybe I made this Thread because I just thought OoT was a better game than tWW. I mean I liked tWW, but I like OoT better. I think That the new land could be long after tWW. Kinda like tWW was long after OoT and MM.

Yes, that's true. What I was getting at was that Zelda2005 will be relatively close to WW in the timeline, either before it or after it.

But I agree with you, Tetra and/or Link could have passed on what they witnessed and tried to re-create it in the future.

this game could be before Ocarina of Time.... remember at the start of OoT? with the imprisoning war? you never know Nintendo could come up with anything

Oh that would be awesome. You could fight in the Imprisioning War...But would you play as Link? Or maybe you would play as Link Father (Also named Link)

I always thought the Imprisoning War refered to OoT. Alttp first brought it up, and it was the same war that consealed Ganon. Ganon never had the Triforce then. I still beleive that OoT was the first in the legend, and that Zelda II was the last.

That wouldnt happen. The legend states that a hero named link will arise every 100 years. There are links born in between for sure, but the links are only a hero every 100 years.
Anyway, the link in '05 looks identical to the one in OoT(adult). However, the game (without some uber plot twist) CANNOT take place between MM and TWW (unless this is in fact the hero of time thats gone into the future or something). The reason i say this is because at the end of OoT, link leaves hyrule and goes to termina thereby shattering the triforce of courage into 8 shards, of which you collect in TWW. Also, in TWW it says , when explaining the formation of the great sea, that link never returned to hyrule after going to termina. In the screenshots we clearly see what appears to be hyrule castle.

Personally, i hope that this game takes place far into the past or future because im sick of the Oot/TWW timeline. Lets put some detail into the other games shall we ?

The Imprisoning War occured while Link was asleep.

Personally I'd prefer this game to occur between OoT and TWW, although a Zelda game of a different kind should tell Tetra and the Hero of Winds' story in some manner or another.

Just a point of fact, by the way, the King told the two that whatever land they found wouldn't be the new Hyrule, it would be their land. So if a "new Hyrule" does crop up at some point (unlikely) wouldn't it kind've shoot down that whole sequence? Besides, all that's left in the Great Sea is a bunch of mountaintops. They won't find anything Hyrule-sized. Hyrule reappers a long way down the line, when the Deku Tree's forests drain the sea again.

Wait. Maybe Links father doesn't have to be a "Hero" to be a legend. Maybe he was just really important. He didn't have the triforce of courage, but he could have fought in the imprisoning war...wait...That would be like a seperate series where you fight as his father and in the end its the beggining of OoT.

Nevermind. It could have been a seperate series. The Legend of Zelda: The Imprisoning War. Dunno

I should explain what i meant by that in more detail. Only 1 hero every 100 years. In OoT , link and the seven sages seal ganon(dorf) away. the legends say that a hero sealed ganon(dorf) away. therefore, link must be a hero. this only help proves that the imprisoning war is in fact OoT. Lemme word this easier :

1 hero every 100 years.
link seals ganon away in OoT and becomes hero of time.
the sealing of ganon into the sacred realm is known as the imprisoning war.
therefore, OoT must be the imprisoning war.
in other words , there is no way you could play as link's father in '05 in the imprisoning war because OoT is it.

I agree with you 100%

Then What Happened before OoT? Listen to the Deku Tree's story. Links mother took him to Kokiri for a reason.

I dun think the new Zelda is after WW I think its what happened after Link fixed the future following his "Long Sleep" in OOT....so really by my theory its after OOT.....but if the part with Ganondorf and his fighting Link and crap like that never happened

maybe its like a prequel to windwaker but after majoras mask, you know at the begining of WW they said gannon came back again after link defeated him the first time but link didnt return to face him ...and now maybe youll be link and you will play where you were when gannon came back and the will show you like in terimina or wherever that place was in majoras mask....

Dont know if anyone has said this or not BUT how can it be windwaker? We have seen the movies and the screen is obiousvly Link back in action, in WW Link was long gone... Hmm....?
