Exclamation Check This Out!

Ok, this is my first forum, so its begginer. I am really excited about the new Zelda 2005. Known as Legend of Zelda: Ride of Meloncholy. Im trying to find as much new detals as I can and I found some really good ones. (They are cut and pasted)

"I found some really interesting rumors on GCNGB.

Legend of Zelda: Reins of Sorrow

Fake or Not?

KA Monthly recently had the chance to sit down with Nintendo producer/director Eiji Aonuma, who discussed with us some interesting details concerning the forthcoming Zelda title for the Gamecube.

The game, a sequel to 2003's smash hit The Wind Waker, will feature a new Link, one "whose personality thrives on his emotions." The game is also said to be more character-driven, with "Link having a deeper and introspective personality," one that reflects "the sheer magnitude of his determination and sense of solitude."

Gameplay elements were also discussed: "The game will feature an even larger world than the previous titles, so exploration will be the key." To traverse this vast land, Link will now have to set up camp and rely on a magical item: the reins of sorrow. "Link's new friend is a horse named Poseidon, whom he saves from drowning in a flood caused by a terrible storm. On Poseidon's back are the magical bridles, the reins of sorrow, which allow him to transform into various beings." Some 'beings' mentioned were an eagle and a wolf.

More details on The Reins of Sorrow will be reported as soon as they come in. Expect a summer 2005 release for the Gamecube."

It's really interesting. Im excited. Plz reply if you think this is good, or have any comments. Thanks

Ty P.S. DO you think Link likes Saria more than Zelda?

Re: Check This Out!

Sigh... I don't really like the story. It seems almost like the new Fire Emblem, you know, with the whole transforming and stuff. Anyway, if you don't mind would you properly introduce yourself in the noob fourm, no?

P.S: I'll tell you if you post a thread on it and give me a cookie.

Zelda

Hi Guys....

Well first of all... Nintendo power have new inforamtion on ZELDA.

They said its very mature very dangerous, very intence and more doungens than other titles, oh, and the HORSE will play HUGE!!! part of the gameplay.

so after looking at these romurs, who knows, unless somebody got the scoop before nintendo power, and tried to make stuff up by putting info togther then ZELDA 05 might be a SMASH HIT... i would expect more info from the new year up to e3 to either leak out or be gathered from interviews.

As for the reins of sorrow.. im not totaly sure.lol turning into animals n all that stuff sounds ummm well at this point it sounds dull.
As for it being a WW sequal i wasnt sure at first, but now i think it might be.. but also as Aonuma said..lol its HIGHLY!!!!! influenced by OOT.. and the art style will be like OOT.. now in WW the art style was unique and origanel... and it didnt look like OOT.. soo ummm if it is a WW sequal then i think it would feel out of place.. as the era of OOT has vannished and no one knows of that TIME.. that land and all its riches were destroyed.. and the islands above the water adapoted their own style of living . now i dont think that from WW to ZELDA05 they would evolve this simaler art style and culture again.. so im also guesing that this game is before WW...

BUT who knows at this point.

BYE.

If you don't know who's BGS, that's me. BigGoronSword at your service. And as for Chozen's advise to check out the thread "Possible title announced", I think you should take it. I know this is your first thread here LaS (short for Link and Saria ) but it's nice to check around if there already is a thread talking about the same subject on what you'd like your new thread to be about. And my honest opinion, I believe that this subject is very close to what we are talking in the other thread. Don't be afraid, come on down and join the party. I have a question for you LaS. It seems like you trust your sources very well. I too would like to see the Link you got that info from. By the sound of the info, it doesn't seem unbelievable...I think it could be the real deal. However...why would they say this?:

Quote:
"The game, a sequel to 2003's smash hit The Wind Waker, will feature a new Link"

Why would they make a sequel to tWW and have a new Link? Do they mean completely different Link (as in not the Hero of Winds) or do they mean the Hero of Winds from tWW but changed slightly (additude, personality, appearance, etc...)?

-BGS

It is being released after tWW. Whence, it's a sequel. Don't make the mistake of thinking that it has anything to do with the story.

Link and Saria: The title 'Reins of Sorrow" or any variations thereof is almost certainly fake. As is the entire article you're quoting. Not only is the article a month or so old, but it seems to have originated on a Spanish board, which didn't give any reliable source.

It's possible that I am wrong, but I believe that it is entirely false, along with the name.

Re: Check This Out!

That is completely irrelevant. In the eyes of the industry, this is a sequel to the Wind Waker.

Foolish to apply the word "sequel" to any Zelda game, really, since it's all one big series, but that's the way it is. Denying it just makes you look like a fool.

Re: Check This Out!

Sorry to butt in, but it isn't really that foolish to consider any Zelda game a sequel to another, as the series is so disjointed it is rare to find a "true" sequel. MM was a definite sequel to OoT, and so was WW, wouldn't you say? Now, if the Wind Waker was a sequel even with it's drastically changed artwork, who's to say that a return to the seriousness of the N64 games is out of the question?

Re: Check This Out!

Well, there are sequels, and there are not sequels, not all Zelda games were created as sequels. As for this theory on ''Reins of Sorrow'' I absolutely believe that it is fake.

P.S. Samus 21 you should probably introduce your self properly in the New Members Board.*edit* I never said it was required, I only suggested he do it, he doesn't have to if he doesn't want to.

Re: Check This Out!

Why should he, Four Sword? It's not a requirement, and, to be honest, I view it as a foolish waste of time.

Samus: I don't really think of any Zelda games as sequels to any other Zelda games, story-wise or otherwise. They're all one big series.

Re: Check This Out!

I get how you're thinking, lord of shadow, but it is true that MM IS a definite sequel to OoT, as to the other games i'm not so sure myself so i'd have to agree with you for now.

P.S thanks for the advice, Four Sword, I'll go have a look-see.

Re: Check This Out!

For something to be a "sequel," it doesn't have to have any relation to the story. Every Zelda game is, essentially, a sequal of the last one, even though their stories are not related. Although, I don't really see the point in calling games in a series "sequels."

As for those titles... I don't think either one has any solid backing. A random post in IGN boards about a possible title has just as much weight as me making a new thread here declaring that they're going to call the new Zelda "Legend of Zelda: The Quest for Cash."

Re: Check This Out!

lol, that's true about the titles. However, saying that a sequel doesn't need to share a common thread in the story... doesn't that mean that it isn't a sequel but a whole new story?

Re: Check This Out!

It all sounds verry cool especially the part of setting up a camp. It really shows how big the game could get.But I think the information your'e giving is a bit unreliable because there is only little info comming from the big N and most info is formed from ideas that players wish to have in the new zelda, so if you could give the source of your'e info it is much easier decided wether It's true or fals

Lol, the fan girls and fan fic writers will be happy. Everyone loves a bit of angst.

The wolf and eagle seem unlikey, but then again we've seen Link change before in MM, it would be cool tho.

I always got the impression that this was not the WW sequal. I got the idea this was the story of how Hyrule become a big watery wasteland. Besides this is not the WW link. For one his hair is like the 1st Link (OoT/MM), also OoT/MM Link has blue eyes, as does 2005 Link. WW link has green eyes. Ok, so they look like black things, I'm just trusting my source on this has a decent source *shrug*. Anyway it makes sense in WW. Zelda/blue/wisdom/Nayru, Ganonnorf/red/power/Din, Link/green/courage/fayore (cant remember spelling).
