Future places ideas?

Places that they could introduce in the next Zelda games?
I have a few:

Prison- A big prison for the world of Hyrule and outsiders it could be a Temple in the game also. Hyrule's most evil people reside here.

2nd Hyrule Castle- Some rich eccentric guy believe's he should be the King of the land, so he went the extra mile to have a mock up of a castle built where he "rules" over a small area.

Wonder forest: Kokeri Forest's evolved form, much more whimsical and "green". Full of new species and a new race, as well as still have Kokeri?

Dead Valley- A dark and souless place. Only evil spirits live there, except an old man who claims to be the whisper of the dead.

I thought those were cool ideas.

The Wonder Forest sounds like a really amazing idea.

Oh wow you are right!

I completely forgot about Ikana Canyon.
Obviously this one if they did it, would be much more darker.
Literally dark skys all the time.

Koholint Town (The Game's Central Hub): Hylian Colonies

I'd like to see a nice, relaxing coastal town built on a hill littered with bright, colorful buildings and tropical flora. You'd have a small harbor next to a red/white spiral lighthouse that's built on top of a high cliff. This harbor would be at the base of a marketplace built around a fountain. Go up the stairs from the market and you have the bank, the mayor's office, etc. (and another underdog bank called "Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land" that is based inside of a wooden crate outside the town bank). Leave this area and you come to the second part of the city, which has little houses built into the side of the hill, leading down to a beach as well as a little amusement park (with mini games and a ferris wheel) run by the reincarnation of the Happy Mask Salesman wearing a Hawaiian shirt. The third part of the city is at the top of the hill. The more luxurious homes are on the edge, and as you go further up you'll find a cheerful city park that has a winding road along a rather steep incline, leading up to a grand statue of the late Queen Zelda that looks out to the sea. If you travel outside of the city you'll find the "fourth part", which is a bunch of little hidden caves and cliffside puzzles full of treasure and mini dungeons.

The town would ideally have as much love and detail put into it as Clock Town, Windfall, and Skyloft, brimming with sidequests, nooks, and crannies to find content and charm in. That, and a big quest line that helps Tingle take over the banking industry while you subsequently screw over the nice, reasonable guy that used to run the town bank, and then you have to live with the fact that you gave that greedy, no good creep of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a monopoly. You can either quell that guilt by taking advantage the 30% interest that Tingle gives you, or you can be an OG and help the bank guy back onto his feet.

I support the Prison; Skyward Sword Prequel Manga features Link in fetters which is certainly an interesting twist on what we perceive Link to be. Why would a hero be jailed, after all.

Re: Future places ideas?

The Lanayru Sea

A sea located south of Hyrule, close to the desert. The coast is home to a port town where alchemists and fishermen reside. At least one major river in Hyrule flows out here, namely a branch of the Lanayrudo River that flows through Gerudo Valley and forms the boundry between Hyrule and the Gerudo Desert.

A series of islands dot the sea's surface, standing out against the horizon as viewed from the coast. The islands exist as a micronation of sorts, the people of which descend from Hylians and Gerudo and thus are friendly to members of both tribes. The waters are considered neutral territory and thus both Hyrulean and Gerudo ships sail freely, though as pirates roam the waters around the islands conflicts frequently occur.

According to legend, an ancient civilization once existed somewhere around where the islands now stand, but was lost long ago. Artifacts of mysterious origin have been fished up by locals on occasion, supporting this legend. The legend has inspired an explorer to begin construction of a vessel capable of travelling underwater with the intent of searching the islands' depths for ruins or other signs of the lost civilization.

Re: Future places ideas?

In addition to Richard and Ikana, the Prison idea was done by both Arbiter's Grounds and Shadow Temple/Bottom of the Well (combined with torture chamber).
.... Oh, and Forbidden Fortress to an extent.

I'd like to see a mountainous, redwood tree village. Like the ground has some buildings and farming areas, but most of the places are in the tree tops and inside or around the trees. I like treetop villages.

Re: Future places ideas?

I think a prison idea would be cool if it was still functioning and link with about 4 prisoners had to escape... With none of links items.

Re: Future places ideas?

Hmmm... maybe a large, old armory or ancient castle filled with ghosts, spirits, and ghost-like enemies. Maybe sometimes some old, rusty armor lying around could suddenly be possessed by a ghost and attack you. There could be a basement with some sort of royal tomb or burial chamber filled with coffins and ghosts and stuff.

Re: Future places ideas?

I'd support the prison, also... only, all of Hyrule's most wanted have been killed by Link... sooooo... awkward.

I've always wanted a full-game remake of the Oracle duo... except with the 3rd person PoV much like in Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask. That would create so many new places, like an underwater city and a subterranean world inhabited by hooded "humanoids".

The Sacred Forest Meadow. I swear I saw something just like it while exploring the oh-so-glitchy Twilight Princess Beta Forest. Also, you know the rainbow colored grotto in the Sacred Forest Meadow...? I want that to be an entrance to Termina.

Bring back Termina. That is all I want. A game where you can travel back and forth between gyrule and Termina, that would be EPIC!

Re: Future places ideas?

I'd like Termina to be reconstructed too. Except, if ever they were to somehow link Termina to Hyrule, I wouldn't imagine the best way to do it is by physical means, I would expect an ocarina song or something... otherwise the idea behind only three people being able to go between Termina and Hyrule and vice versa would be ruined! RUINED I TELLS YOU!

Re: Future places ideas?

One dungeon idea I've had for a long time is something they half did in Minish Cap: a giant's house in the sky. I guess it's the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk? A giant house (kitchen, bedroom, staircase, etc.) would be a very fresh dungeon. You could fight giant rats, spiders, bats...
And getting to the dungeon would be even more fun. You'd have to plant the bean in the beginning of the game, after which you'll slowly see it grow until it reaches the clouds.

Another idea would be an outdoor dungeon. Something you can just walk in to and out from anywhere. Perhaps an abandoned village, a graveyard, some ruins. I imagine some detectiving would be a nice combination here.

Re: Future places ideas?

I would love to see Link in prison after Ganondorf (or other antagonist) throws Link in. Link becomes a wanted criminal for apposing Ganondorf and is sentenced to death. At this time, he runs into his mentor (Midna, Navi, Tatl, etc.) and (s)he helps Link escape the prison. Me must kill everyone inside the building in order to break free. This will be the darkest Zelda game.

Prison would rock.
