Day of the Triforce

Sorry for my recent lack of intelligent posting, been having computer troubles

anyways , I think the Day of the Triforce should appear in a future zelda game, possibly 05, or FS DS , or whatever...

maybe like this(assuming ganon appears in the game and in pig form):

After Link finally obtains the Power of the Triforce, he proceeds to use it to make his one wish, and out of sympathy for ganon, use it to purge the evil from his heart and return him to his human form. then he realizes that the triforce has lost his power and assumes that this must be the day spoken of in but another of the legends of which the people speak, The Day of the Triforce, with this a new more powerful opponent sets out to take the triforce from link before the day ends, therefore obtaining it and using for a wish of his own.

anyway, that shouldve maybe been in fan fiction but i put here because im trying to find out whether or not you think The Day of the Triforce should appear or not.

Re: Day of the Triforce

Let me get this straight, unnecessary fluff and lack of grammar aside:

You want a more powerful enemy to come and steal the Triforce, preventing Link from turning Ganon good. Right?

In that case... first off, I think it is damned stupid to have "more powerful" enemies. Stupid to quantify power at all. This setup would go a long way towards reducing Ganon's impact, as well, if he's reduced to being saved by Link and then screwed by some other evil guy.

Re: Day of the Triforce

You've been watching too much Dragonball(+Z/GT/whatever). o-o

Ganon(dorf) is the great king of evil. Would you really like to see this poweful being reduced to a scrap of his former self, just to get a new "more powerful" enemy? Wouldn't that make Ganon loose all his credability in the other games too? You would just sit there, thinking; "Yeah, he might be tough, but [insert phoney more powerful enemy name] would woop his ass so bad!". If you want to write a fan fic about it, sure, go ahead. I probably won't read it. >_>

Re: Day of the Triforce

Putting all of the G-man's credibility and evilness aside, I don't think any LoZ adventure should ever focus on one day. Three days maybe is a stretch, ala MM. Personally I feel like the series needs to be longer than just a day, to give it an epic feel.

*added*
IRT the great and mighty Gannon, it would be cool to see him and Link fighting at the beginning for the triforce, only to have a third opponent take it. Then it puts the danger in someone else's hands, at which point Link goes on his quest to stop this third entity.

THEN, at the end, have Gannon steal it back just as he and Link are fighting. That would at least balance it out properly.

Re: Day of the Triforce

Day of the Triforce was a 1980s-90s flop from the old Zelda comics. Please don't ever mention it again.

Re: Day of the Triforce

Ganon is the ultimate evil there is no reason to bring his name down to bring a new enemie. If you havent noticed all of links foes have been the doing of Ganon they all work for him. Throwing a new bad guy that is stronger than Ganon himself would be horrible for the series.

I absolutely agree, Ganon has been and always will be the staple villain of the Zelda franchise. If there ever was a stronger entity created, then that would just ruin the whole thing.

Re: Day of the Triforce

ok maybe if you replace new bad guy with stronger meener for of ganon it could work. i know id like to see ganon get a boost in power after many hundreds of years of clawinghis way to the top and being knocked down you would think he would have at least aquired things like dins fire or nayrus love or something to bolst himself.... personaly i think he weilded those dual scimitars in WW pretty well but to reflecting of OoT ganon

Re: Day of the Triforce

most of you seemed to miss the point of what i said, the point wasnt to talk about having a more powerful opponent than ganon, that was merely an idea to incorporate the Day of the Triforce. An idea, not something to go by. Nintendo is far better at writing story than i am, the point was that i would like to see the Day of the Triforce return to add some kind of a twist to the series.

Well, considering that Link almost never uses the Triforce for wishes anyways...what's the point?

Re: Day of the Triforce

Notice how I said almost never. The point is, the Triforce isn't used for wishes in the series. The Day of the Triforce was part of the *shudder* cartoons of the eighties. I'd rather not see it in a game, as...well, I have still to see a good reason as to why it should be there. Oo

Re: Day of the Triforce

His wish was to return the world to normal and destroy the dark world. The ending of the game pretty much explained it (I thought)
