Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

I believe it should either be the Immediate sequel to SS or the Sequel to TP. I want SS sequel more cause i wanna see Ghirahim as a Boss again. Hopefully Ganon is in it too. Maybe Ghirahim V.S. Ganon V.S. Link.

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

In every game, no matter how far back we go, we are always exploring ruins of a lost golden age. SS actually seems to tell us a bit about that age. For once, I'd like to see a fully functional Hyrule in it's golden age, with brand new buildings and items instead of ruins and relics.

We also see the remnants of once-golden age in TP.

Either a prequel to SS or TP would be fantastic, as they provide plenty of ideas and concepts to work with.

I would adore a game set in New Hyrule after ST. Could you imagine the trains still being there but in full detail with Wii U's graphics? Not to mention New Hyrule itself would look fantastic...

I always wondered if they'd consider a Hero of Time trilogy. Maybe a game sometime after Majora's Mask where Link aged naturally.

It would be really weird, but possibly even intriguing if they pulled a MGS4 and had us play as an aged Link.

I'd say so. The overworld was refreshingly new, the story was fun and the dialogue was a bit humorous at times. There were a fair amount of sidequests and the dungeons were tricky compared to previous games.

And instead of playing it and deciding for yourself you allow someone else to decide for you?

At the very least you could check reviews and/or watch playthroughs on Youtube to kinda get a sense of whether or not you'd like it.

What do you want Zelda Wii U to be about?

I just thought it'd be nice to see what people expect or want to see from the next "big" Zelda game. This is not to create your own story or anything, just some general stuff.

Do you want something which explains what happened between two different games, now that we have the timeline? Or do you want a game that seems to have no solid hints as to where exactly it could fit in on the timeline, sparking up new theories to come with other future titles?

Do you want it to be set in Hyrule, or a new land? Bring in more depth to a story we've seen in the prologue, such as the one in Minish Cap, or start a whole new story from scratch?

Personally, I'm too indecisive about it. Although I think I'm more interested in seeing a Zelda game where we don't really know where it'll fit in on the timeline. I'd also find it more interesting to set it in a different land all together. Even though Hyrule is different in say, TP, OoT and SS, they still have a familiar lay out. It'd be nice to see something set up differently imo.

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

Id like to see a game that occurs between OoT and TP that has gannon attack castle town with a huge army, this would explain why gannon is put on trial for execution as well as explain why the temple of time in TP is hidden in lost woods instead of castle town. gannon wouldnt have to be the main villan for that to happen, Majora for instance could be the main villan..Majora him/herself.

If you want to know more about what would be good in future zelda games theres another thread almost identical to this, "The perfect Zelda game, What would be in it?"

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

I'd like to see a game after the Twilight Princess events, Who will be the next wielder of the Master Sword? Againts which enemy? I feel there can be still more to do in that timeline.

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

In between MM and TP, does Link find Navi? Does he go back to Hyrule or does he stay in Termina? Does he end up with Saria or Zelda? Why does he become so dismayed in Twilight Princess?

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

Most likely, Link left Termina, continued his search for Navi and got lost in the woods, where he became a Stalfos, creating the Hero's Shade in TP.
I just can't picture a "what if" Link found Navi, where she was? why she left? how he found her?
I guess Navi left to never come back.

Re: What part of the timeline do you want Zelda Wii U to be set?

It seems that (if your predictions are correct) child era Link is a bit of a tragic hero.

A game that sums up the three timelines or adds a conclusion of some kind would be lovely too, now this 'theory' is going to be one of the worst written and probably the worst conceived yet.

Could there possibly be some form of meeting point in the future, it seems fairly pointless in regard to the three timelines to have them if they are only there for Nintendo to add stories too. There must be a point where a singular action within the three timelines defeat Ganondorf once and for all, he was turned to Stone in WW easy enough to fix that for someone that can seemingly survive being underwater for centuries. In FS isn't he reincarnated or something? And finally in the bluntly named "Adventure of Link", Link prevents Ganon's revival. What's to stop him for reviving again?

I think a tragic hero could make a dark part of the timeline. I wanna see the Child timeline being dark
