I think he's just saying he doesn't want another rehash of OoT's plot. Like how they tired to make TP better than OoT but used a rehash of OoT's plot to do it.

I doubt Link will be a goody two shoes. I doubt they'll even give Link much of a personality.

Re: Biggest Fear Concerning Skyward Sword

I have a million and one fears about Skyward Sword. Here's the worst:

-Motion Controls: They've got themselves a nice motion plus and they're overusing it. What's new?

-Motion Controls: Seriously, 1:1 motion control is a myth. It can't and won't ever get as good as they say.

-Motion Controls: I've heard various things about what they're doing, but I fail to see how it will work. I fail to see that it will work.

-The World: I've heard that they're changing some basic, core features and ruining them completely. But no details.

-Difficulty: If I don't get hopelessly stuck on some puzzle, I'll cry. Spirit Tracks was horribly easy, and I want it to stop there. I doubt it will, though.

-Birds: I hope they give you complete freedom in flying places. They probably won't and they'll probably insist that you follow some stupid set track.

-Motion Controls: Were they ever a good idea. Actually, yes they were. Damn.

Re: Biggest Fear Concerning Skyward Sword

^I don't think you should buy this game, before you said it was going to be a miserable failure. I don't think you'll enjoy it.

They've had five years to work on this game, they've said they've work a year on the motion controls. That means four years of brainstorming and development. They've said they're fixing everything, but you're choosing to be a negative nancy about it. It doesn't sound like you're excited, and when you play it you're probably going to do your best to nitpick the game. So yeah...

That point kind off falls flat since the Wii is a motion controlled console and every console updates stuff. so put 2 and 2 together.

give me 1 solid reason why it's not gonna work, then ask anyone who played the e3 demo.

1. what you just said wasn't specific at all, and i can't interpret that.
2. i think you need to get your eyes checked if you fail to see the good.

where the hell do you get your facts? ruining them completely but no details? you can't know if something is ruined if there is no details.

there is a very fine line between games like OoT and games like ST, SS is on the OoT side of it. so you can't really compare the two.

Quote:

watch any of the flying gameplay and you'll see that its as free as riding epona in the sky.

were a good idea? WERE a good idea? they are the only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ing idea that the gaming industry has produced as a whole! Wii made it popular, so popular that both of the other companies copied it. and you should realize that SS is supposed to be the Wii's Closing ceremony.

over all, all of those comment pretty much fell flat on their faces.
try to think of it from a different view, specifically a less sceptimistic view.

Have even SEEN any gameplay videos, like, at all? Just watch some and many of your worries will be solved.

Re: Biggest Fear Concerning Skyward Sword

Skyward sword sounds great, and im happy that the developers have actually worked on the "fun" side of the game by making it alot harder and focusing on skill-based gameplay. My biggest fear is that there will be no other town to explore besides skyloft, and that the universe will boil down to:

-Get quest from Skyloft storyline
-Go down below and do dungeon
-Go back up to Skyloft and Get another storyline quest
-Go down below and do dungeon
-etc...

I am thinking that this might be an empty world down below, with the only human souls contained within Skyloft. Hopefully that's not the case, and that there is indeed a thriving community down below full of people and interesting, interactive stories.

I don't think there are many humans, but they have stated there are plenty of new races like the Mogma and "Bulbapenguins" and old ones like the Gorons.

Oh right, when I said human souls, I didn't mean to imply that humans had to be the only social race. When I say human souls I meant.... races of all kinds that can be social with you and make you feel like you are special.
If ya know what I mean

The game isn't even released yet.
However, you know Miyamoto isn't interested in character development or ''evolution'' of the series in any way.

It's not, but making contstant references (which I mentioned, you try understanding my point before making these replies) is bad in every way possible.

But ignoring that, it's still alot better than that WW thing.
So yes, I liked TP, just as every other member here. U mad? :S

He was the one who pushed Aonuma to use the MotionPlus when he wasn't ambitious to find a way to make it work into the game.

That's one good thing.

But he isn't part of the development team, he and Aonuma are just watching over and playing the game. Even they haven't finished it.

Re: Biggest Fear Concerning Skyward Sword

I am worried about:
# No or very little inhabited towns to visit.
# Skyloft, dungeon, skyloft, dungeon, skyloft, dungeon, skyloft, dungeon.
# The land below the clouds is purely infested with monsters, no single good person down there at all.
# Too little unexpected events. I want cutscenes to happen when I least expect them.

I doubt any of these things will actually happen though. I get the feeling that this game will be epic.

"That WW thing" had references to OoT because it's in the adult timeline, and gameplay wise, it didn't feel like OoT as much as TP.

Re: Biggest Fear Concerning Skyward Sword

TP didn't reference OoT seeing as the events of OoT never happened. Only the layout of Hyrule was similar and the behavior of characters and species.
