The Legend of Zelda: Origins of Life

I was on the fence between Origins of Life, or Origins of Time.

The main bullet points of this game:

System: WiiU
Difficulty: Medium-Hard. Def. for teens of older.

Back Ground Info:
In the Land of New Hyrule (it's in the future, long after Spirit Tracks, and they are in a some what steam-punk stage), there are only lores about how in ancient times a hero rose with the Lokomo and defeated Maladus. But there are no stories about how people were created, or how the land was formed, or how Time even started.
So now, scientists and mages under the rule of Queen Rosina, King Dalphanes, and Princess Zelda, have built a machine called The Portal of Time, with the power source being an ancient relic that washed up on the shores of New Hyrule: The Ocarina of Time. There is someone who the Queen selected to go back into time, all the way to the beginning, and to see how everything was made.
Link and Zelda are already friends in this game, and had been since childhood (they are both 19 now). The royal family invited Link over to view the machine, since they know of his love of puzzles and technology, and all goes well.
Zelda invites him back over that night to talk with the scientist and mages alone, and he agrees. When he gets there, they turn the Portal on to show them, and some freak accident happens and Link gets sent flying into the Portal, and sent back before even the Goddesses were golden.

Starting weapons:
-A Sword
-A sheild
-A Boom Bag (a bag infused with science and magic that shoots out gun powder and ignites it in mid air to blow up)
-A Boomerang

Story (Cont.):
Once Link gets sent back, he crashes into a forest. He wonders around, scared, until he finally finds a village called Ruite Village. Inside, he finds people stoning and chasing 3 women, accusing them of witch craft and evil ways. Link stops them, and they all freak out when they see his futuristic weapons. The 3 girls then reveal themselves to be (SHOCK) Din, Farore, and Nayru. They then grow wings, and ask you to take them back to their home in the forest. Take them back to the hidden City of Fairies, and they will thank you.
Once they thank you, more familiar deities (to the player) will come and welcome you to their home. You will see an old frog taking care of a golden tadpole, a green tadpole, and a red tadpole; A little girl playing in the sand; And an aging Fairy Queen surrounded by 4 spirits of the seasons. The Queen announces now that Din, Farore, and Nayru are back, they can start their ceromony to infuse one of her subjects with powers of a deity.
As everybody chears, a great tree's trunk explodes and falls over, start a near by tree on fire. The Queen gasps, and all of the elders stand to fight. Out of the trunk walks a few familiar faces once again, and one unfamiliar. The faces are that of a young Maladus, Bellum, Byrne (in a different form than his Spirit Tracks appearance), and a loads of old temple bosses (full list later in post) from previous games, just in younger and more fit forms. The new guy, who states that his name is Chronos, is the leader of the bunch.
He launches an attack on everyone, claiming that he was mad because the Queen of Fairies didn't make him a God last time they had this ceromony 100 years before, so he plans on killing her and taking her powers to become an God, but an evil one. The Queen of Fairies teleports all of their subjects to a different area, still a forest, but up high on a sacred tree. Din, Farore, and Nayru all decided to go back and help the Queen fight, and they do, but they end up getting captured. Chronos sends you a mental message telling you that you will never find him and the Queen and 3 element fairies (which is what Din, Farore and Nayru are at this point).

So, you go on this quest and defeat the bosses (descriptions below), which helps you get closer to Chronos (You must create a seal called the Portal of Time to enter his dungeon, which is the Temple of Time. You also need to find the 4 Elemental Globes to get past different doors in the Temple of Time). Once you get to him, you must defeat him, and then the Queen of Fairies and the 3 women will be set free.

For the bravery of the 4 of you, the Queen (who is revealed to be the current Goddess) grants you a special aura that will be passed down AND up generations and generations. This means that even the Link's before this game will have this Aura, which is how the Golden Goddesses find OoT Link, etc etc. She also crowns the 3 elemental fairies the 3 Golden Goddesses, and they all 3 thank you to their fullest power: They promise that whenever they need help, their will call upon a hero with your Aura. After, they explain how they plan on expanding the world they universe to their fullest power, and also letting their power fall into "cracks in the fabric of this dimension", which creates places like Termina.

They then send you back to your own time, where it turns out that you were only gone for about a day. You are then crowned The Hero of the Gods, and the legend is recorded for future generations to know.

Temples: (These are in the order you do them in game.)

-Escape from the City of Fairies
This is when you and the Deities that escaped are leaving the City of Fairies, and they have to go through like a free falling/sliding level.
*Boss: None
*Item: Magical Map

-Swamp of Eternity: To get to this level, you have to do a mini quest first that involves building the first clock ever, and using it to open a door that Chronos created to stop you from entering the Swamp.
*Boss: Horned Beast, Stellord
~After you defeat him, he falls backward into the toxic swamp tar, and you see his hand come up that is pure bone.
*Mini Boss: Queen Redead (A beast that can summon redead)
Mini Boss Item: Cane of Somaria
Quest Item: 1st Piece of the Time Portal

-Temple of the Sun: To reach this temple, you have to go through a Phantom Maze (like in the Temple of the Ocean from PH). Once inside, it looks like a great church that worships some kind of Sun God. Picture a lot of stained glass and sunlight.
*Boss: Bellum, and his Phantom Army
~After you defeat him, he jumps into a small steam that is running through the Boss Room and dissappears until the event's of PH.
*Mini Boss: Corrupted Azure Dragon
Mini Boss Item: Mirror Sheild
Quest Item: 2nd Piece of the Time Portal

-Spirit Shrine:
*Boss: Jalhalla (He was a regular human visiting a passed relative at the temple, but then Chronos appeared, placed an "Ever-After Mask" on him, and then killed him. This mask is what kept his spirit around and mutated it to such a large form, and will continue to keep it around, even if it is broken.)
~After the defeat, his ghost shrinks smaller and smaller, until it turns into a small ball of shadowy light and goes into the ceiling. He is later seen in TWW and Four Swords Adventure)
*Mini Boss: Gorgon Sisters (must use your mirror sheild and the Cane of Somaria to defeat)
-Mini Boss Item: Spirit Spliter (Allows you to split your physical body and spiritual body for a limited amount of time. While you are a spirit, you can float over things that you normally couldn't, and you are also mostly attack-proof except by other ghosts.)
Quest Item: 3rd Piece of the Time Portal

-Dark Abyss: You hear from a villager that Chronos was seen here, but it turns out that it was just a trap to try to destroy Link. The dungeon itself is very creepy, and a lot worse than the Shadow Temple from OoT. It will def. scare you at some point.
*Boss: Demonic Dictator, Maladus
~After Defeating: He is locked away in a far off land, what will later be called New Hyrule. The Locomo also go and back sure that he stays locked up, with the exception of Byrne
*Mini Boss: Witch Doctor, Gongo-Bongo (eventually becomes Bongo-Bongo)
-Mini Boss Item: Spirit Flute (used to travel to different places)
Quest Item: 4th and final Piece of the Time Portal

-Water Orb: After you enter the Temple of Time and reach the door where you need the Water Globe to pass, there is a puzzle that, when finished, will raise an orb of clean, shining water from the center of the swamp. A stair well also appears so you can enter it. Inside, it is like an M.C Esher painting that constantly moves.
*Boss: Boiling Beast, Morphmer
~After Defeating: He slides into a crack, and hides there. You can always see him, even after defeating him, but you can never touch him. He turns into Morpha after you defeat him, then hides. By the time you see him again in TP, the Mirror of Twilight touched him, which 'super evolved' him.
*Mini Boss: Demonic Naiad, Verania
-Mini Boss Item: Magical Breathing Device (allows you to breath in extreme heat and under water) (You get this after the first phase of the fight, and you heal back to full health. After you heal up and get the item, the room will flood and she will start attacking you while in the water. After you defeat her the second time, you get the Iron Boots)
Quest Item: Water Globe

-Volcanic Crater: After you get to the door where you need the Fire Globe, there is another puzzle that when complete, will crumble a piece of the volcanic crust that will reveal a door to the next dungeon. Inside is like a pit from Hell.
*Boss: Dragon Duo, Volvagia and Valoo
~After you defeat them, Volvagia falls into the lava, and Valoo apologizes and promises to change his ways. Volvagia later comes back, only to be defeated by a Goron. Then he is resurrected once again by Ganondorf in OoT.
*Item: Megaton Hammer
Quest Item: Fire Globe

-Blossoming Medows: After you get to the door where you need the Forest Globe, there will be a final puzzle that will cause a tree to grow in the forest with a door in the middle of it. Inside is pure wood, with no metal or anything. The Cane of Somaria plays a big role in this dungeon.
*Boss: Enormous Plant, Kalle Prime
~After defeat: The plant starts to wither away, but releases thousands of tiny flying seeds from a sac around it's roots. These seeds carry tiny versions of the plant you just killed, which in it's child stage is called Kalle Demos. You see one of these plants in TWW, where you must defeat it to save Makar. There are many other ones, even by the time of OoL.
*Mini Boss: Venful Kodama, Hollow (You can watch Hollow play in his tree through a window outside of the mini boss door) (When you open the door to the mini boss room, a chain reaction happens where a a giant blade cuts down Hollow's Tree. This makes him VERY angry, and wants to destroy you.)
-Mini Boss Item: Bow and Arrows
Quest Item: Forest Globe

-Temple of Time: You must revisit this dungeon multiple times to finally get to Chronos. Inside, it is not like the Temple of Time we know, but the future builders of different Temple of Times used some ideas (like using 3 spiritual stones or using puzzles to enter)
*Boss: Warped Madman, Chronos
~After his defeat, the Queen of Fairies sealed away his powers and his spirit into the instrument that Chronos always had with him: His Ocarina. After that, it was called The Ocarina of Time, and passed down through generations. Also, this Temple of Time was sealed underneath the Earth and locked there by the Goddesses magic at the end of the game.)

Towns in Game:

Ruite Village: The town you first crashed into, and the only way to access the woods to access the City of Fairies.

Yufi Square: The darker town in the game, surrounding it is the Swamp of Eternity. Inside of the town, there is many dark alleys and mysterious people.

Kukarrika Village: This is where a group of strange outcasts live. Next to the village is Mt. Dodongo and the Volcanic Crater.

Forest of Eaife: This village is like a big maze, which leads up to the Grand Mansion. Even to get to the village itself, you have to go through a forest known as The Lost Woods. Through the Forest of Eaife is where you find the tree that will take you to Blossoming Meadows.

Icares' Plateau: Separated between the poor, who live on the ground, and the rich, who live up on the Plateau. They constantly battle each other, with the two lead families being the Family of Hyrule (the Poor), and the Family of Dragmire.

Extras:

Weapons:

-Fire, Ice, Light, and Nature Arrows (These are not obtained in a normal way, like in a dungeon)
*Ice: You have to steal it from a person in the town below the Volcano. He claims that he is very hot, and only has one thing to cool him off. If you take the ice power for your arrows, the man will die within the next dungeon.
*Fire: You must shoot an arrow into the Sun during a certain time of day and in a certain spot, just like in OoT.
*Nature: Nature Arrows, when shot into something, will create vines for you to climb. When shot into an enemy, it wraps them in vines inside and out, killing them. You obtain these by doing a side quest for the Spirit of Summer.
Light: You can only obtain these once you have all of the other arrows. You must help a witch complete a potion (somewhat of a side quest), then dip your arrows into the potion.

Side Quests:

-Saving Baby Jabu: If you talk to one of the deities wondering around the swamp, she will tell you she lost her baby Jabu. If you choose to find him, she will upgrade your Iron Boots to Gravity Boots, which can be used as Iron Boots and Hover Boots. If you choose not too, it shows at the end that he was rescued anyway.

-The Plateau Wars: Takes place in Icares' Plateau after you defeat the miniboss from the Swamp of Eternity. You can choose to help the Dragmire's or the Hyrule's.
*If you help the Dragmire's, you must destroy the food supply of the Hyrule Family, destroy their houses, and destroy their weapons. If you follow this route, you will be rewarded with a wallet that can carry 500 more coins than the wallet you have currently.
*If you help the Hyrule's, you must steal the Dragmire's weapons and give them to the Hyrule's and the other poor people. You must also destroy the Dragmire's defence system. If you help the Hyrule's, you will get 2 new bottles to use.
*Either route you pick, at the end of the game, it shows the family of Hyrule chasing the Dragmire's off. It also shows the Queen of Fairies talking to a girl from the Hyrule family, telling her that her family is destined for great things in the future.

Mini Games:
-Spirit Catcher:
Back-Story:Go talk to the strange old man outside of the Art Gallery in Yufi Square. He will tell you of a story of a man that happened long ago. He was an apprentice of all things dark magic, and one day, while his mentor was out, he was messing with potions, trying to make a whole new dimension. Well, he didn't make a new dimension, but a sub-dimension. Also known as the Gap Between Dimensions. When his mentor came back with his other students, he saw what had happened, and tried to reverse it. But instead of reversing it, it just sucked all of them into the Gap. The portal then closed. The only student remaining, the creator of the Gap, was left all alone for the rest of his life with the guilt of killing all of his friends and his teacher.
-The Game: This old man has found a way to enter the Gap Between Dimensions, but he is too old to go in and save the teacher and students. So he needs your help. He will reveal to you a painting of a old path with a house at the end, and a portal will open up. If you decide to go in, you must collect the souls of the 9 students and the teacher before the 15 minute mark. This may sound like a lot of time, but the GBT is very large and filled with constantly changing puzzles and rooms.
-The Reward: When you save all of them, you will leave the Portal with them and the old man will get up and smile. He will go up to the teacher, and it will be revealed that he was the student from his story that created the Gap. He will then give you a pendant that will give you a magic meter, and 3 magic spells. One to freeze enemies (like a deku nut), and even if you hit them they stay frozen. One to make enemies disappear (one hit KO, but takes half of your magic). And one that shoots a dark magic blast.

Dungeons:

-Mt. Dodongo: Over looks the active volcano where Valoo and Volvagia were fought at. Unknown to the people in this era, it is actually a super volcano. Over 3 thousand years later, it explodes and becomes the Death Mountain that we know today. (You can only do this after getting the 3rd Piece of the Time Portal)
*Boss: Fire Witch, Velicity (great great great great great Grand Mother to Koume and Kotake)
~After Defeat: She falls into a pit of lava and her skin melts away to nothing, and all you can see left is her boney hand sticking out of the lava pit.
*Item: Fire Wand

-Snow Peak Ice Caverns: Ever since this mountain range was formed, there have been wonderfully beautiful ice caverns throughout the mountain. The entrance has been destroyed though, and you can only enter it if you are a spirit of some type. (You can only do this after getting the Fire Globe)
*Boss: Frozen Warlock, Icibod (great great great great great Grand Father to Koume and Kotake)
~After Defeat: A stray blast of ice hits him and he instantly freezes over completely, to where even his bones and organs are solid ice. He then shatters.
*Item: Ice Wand

**Once you have both, you can combine them to become the Twin Elemental Wand.

Hope you enjoyed. Comments and questions would be much appretiated.

I really like this. It would be a good 2D MC-style fangame. You already have the structure of the game, dungeons and all. Go for it.

I forgot to change this after they came out with the name for the WiiU. It's what the WiiU was called before they gave the official release name.

What'd you think about the game idea though? =]

I thought that was Project Cafe or something.

Very nice and original, but still true to Zelda. I'd like to play a game like this.

Hey you could try using Zelda Classic to make it. It's a really cool program that's fairly easy to use. They said on their website that ZC Version 2.5 is really close to completion, so I'm going to check it out. You can get their latest build here: ZC Change Log

You use Quest Editor to make games with. I think they have some tutorials on Zeldaclassic.com.
