You should play as Ganondorf

i agree with Hylian Dan on this one, Ganon would never team up. But heres a thought what if Ganon did his questing stuff in the Dark-realm, while one of his henchmen worked in the mortal realm/hyrule to ressurect Ganon. Then the evil henchman goes back on his word and takes control. So now Ganon must defeat his crazy apprentice now "master"...*middle of the game* so the evil henchman takes over Hyrule along with the darkworld. Now Ganon must reclaim his lost realm, and doing so he "saves" hyrule... well not really save since now Ganon can take it over for himself...but thats for another game...

Hmmm I was just thinking...in tMC ( I know there isn't much info to go by, but stay with me) Link travels outside of Hyrule to find these Kinstones (we don't know if Link is doing this for himself or as a favor to Princess Zedla). Probably Ganondorf could be stared in a game where it has nothing (or barely nothing) to do with Hyrule, Link, or Zelda. He could be searching for more power and possibly more information about the Dark Realm and the Triforce. Hmmm another thing came to mind. Can anyone see a Ganondorf game being played in 2D? I sorta can't. If it had to be in 2D, the closest I can think of would be FSA graphics.

I do like the concept of being evil..but playing as Ganondorf is a bit well-to much for me. And since Link is always going to be the one you control, you probly wont ever play as Ganondorf. But wouldnt it be so awesome if you could play as Dark Link? I'm not sure how the storyline would work out..but maybe it could be about trying to take out Ganondorf's orders. Like, you have to go sneak past the gaurds to kidnap Zelda. And instead of trying to unfreeze Zora's domaine you freeze it..you know that sort of stuff..what do you guys think?

Hmm I've never thought of Dark Link being an actual character, as in, him/it having a personality or even a backround story. I always thought of DarkLink as just a mirror image of link, sorta like in the Hero's arch-type circle thing, how the hero must go into the darkness, face many challenges, and finally the hero faces himself, then the hero returns to the light to save the world. Link facing off against dark link is more symbolic, I dont think dark Link is well, an actual person.. he's just a magical shadow thing...

Ganondorf already proved in OoT he doesn't need to pretend to be Link's friend in order to manipulate him to get the Triforce. I'd hate to see him sink to that level:
Ganondorf: Hi Link! I'm your new best friend! I'm sorry I tried to hurt you before. Now, why don't you give me the Triforce so we can be very powerful! I'll share it with you, of course!

I'd like to play Ganondorf as young, before Link came, long before all that.
He wasn't evil from the beginning, was he?
He could actually have been a lot like Link as young. Or something...
Walking around completing a "mission" (like Link).
And that way they could try to explain why he became evil.

(This makes me think of Star Wars... No, I don't want Ganondorf to be Link's father...)

That would be interesting and would add ALOT to the storyline and I would like to see Ganon's side to OOT ... wouldnt it be nice to have a clock timer going and you would have to rush back to the Temple of Time to catch Link... That would be the end and our reward for playing would be a huge cut screen of the future and a nice GC video version of the fight of Link and ganon... hmmm would be nice

my only problem with playing as a young OoT Ganon, though it may add alot to the story and may fill up some plotholes, is that, well we already know whats gonna happen, sure its interesting to see how Ganon gew up, but we know that in the end he will lose, there is no ultimate victory..

there could be ... i dont want the game to end when you fight Link just after you get the triforce... so that after you would leave with the feeling you accomplished your goal

In the new game, I would assume that Link has never met Ganondorf, he has no idea that he's evil. And Ganondorf has always allowed Link to gather the Triforce before he finally tried to seize it.

lol you want to make a 2nd timeline... anyways i would surely play it if it were to happen... Although i still like the OoT idea a little more... I would maybe like to see Ganon control Link and you would have to play as the bad Link.... I really DO want to see the evil side of Zelda (and no i dont want to destroy/kill/rape everything around)

Doesn't it seem like the Master Sword is the vessel of all things evil? Everything seems to be sealed away by the Master Sword - the Triforce (oh yeah, its evil), Ganondorf, Vaati (Four Sword, Master Sword, same difference). Maybe its not as righteous a weapon as we all thought...

As far as the evil side of Zelda (the Princess)...

I think she should have a more 'wild' side, like Yuna from FFX in X-2. Once I get that far in my fic, you might understand what I'm talking about.

As far as Ganon...

He's not evil, he's misunderstood... geez. That and there's a demon possessing him.

You forgot majora.... but i think the twin helix is related to the master sword anyways... tune on to my fic for the story lol... anything seems to be sealed by the master sword ... then again everything seems to break out... Link should get rid of that thing and use the biggoron sword... Ganon is possesed by the thirst of power...

And im sure everything has an evil side... And what I meant by evil side is what happened that Mr Dorf got to the sacred realm while he was chasing Zelda ...

Me? I think I'll just stick to Smash Bros. Melee. You can fulfill all your fantasies here. Play as Young Link and kick the snot out of Ganondorf! Play as Old Link and do the same! Play as Zelda, and transform into Sheik! Play as Ganondorf and ROCK EVERYONE'S WORLD. Just my opinion. Heh heh, Ganondorf is powerfull.

It would be good to play as ganondorf but it wouldn't make sense to destroy hyrule then the game would be over
