MMORPG zelda?

Hello Everyone
Would there ever me a mmorpg of Zelda ever been made??? If so it would be really good if you could be any creature from Zelda like a Zora, Goron or maby a hylian. You start where you would naturally start (like a Goron would start in Goron City or a zora, zoras doman). You could choose wether to be good or evil and get jobs and get payed in rupees, communicate and tradewithother players and such like, do you think they would make one? and do you have ideas?

I think that might be okay if they used the GCN or revolution with an online service. (not pc) And you could create your own character, from any race in any Zelda game...or maybe not...but anyway if it played JUST like Zelda in combat and such, I think that would be awesome, it would be sort of like four swords with some dungeons. However, they shouldn't make one with normal MMORPG controls, that wouldn't be Zeldaish enough. I seriously doubt this would happen anyway, but it might be cool if they kept the same Zelda control scheme and you could make your own character from different Zelda races. And of course they would have updates and expansion packs. I would probably play as a zora Also, like you said it would be awesome if you could get a job to get rupees, and you could build a home in kakariko, kokiri forest, etc.

If it was like Ocarina of time and you could go anywhere you like and it worked the same as the actuall game exept there might be an icon in the menu screen saying who your freinds are...

p.s. how do you change your profile and put a picture on it?

oooor you could change it a bit, use some imagination, and join the RPG

Hmm... i think that the zelda universe would have to be a little bigger in order for something like that to happen. See they can do that with games like star wars cause there's so many different places and races and such. Sad to say but Hyrule's just too small for a game like that, there'd have to be some serious adjustments such as being able to sail to different countries, find new and different jobs, etc.

mmn thats a good point, they could add another story like the sacred realm but 3D .... Just thinking... also there could be different places like say you had a screen like this to log on from

ENGLAND 1 USA 1 Germany 1

ENGLAND 2 USA 2 Germany 2....ect and you select one then you log in

A multiplayer game in the style of OoT will have to take some serious renovation, and therfore is a bad idea. Strictly speaking, a multiplayer game with a lock-on targeting system is a forumula for disaster.

No no no. Never will there be a Zelda MMORPG. During my time in this forum I have seen threads exactly like this atleast ten times.

For Zelda, I think Four Swords Adventures was the best they could do for multiplayer. Having players go through dungeons that require team puzzle-solving skills made for the best co-op game experience yet. For online, they'd have to make at least twenty different dungeons for players to go through. I'm not a fan of MMORPGs though, because most of them require endless amounts of levelling up.

good idea except for 2 things that i saw in previous posts:

1. i saw that someone would like it OoT style. like in OoT's hyrule? cuz then there would have to be a limit on the number of people in any given playing room ( seein as how its not THAT big), im saying it would bt better if there was a much BIGGER hyrule, somewhat based off of OoT and/or LTTP hyrule, and possible even have the other seldomly (is that a word?) mentioned nations

2. someone wanted it on GC not the pc, which only poses one problem ( which is actually easily fixed) you cant really communicate all that well without a keyboard (unless you use microphones to talk like there is in socom 2 :p)

well a MMORPG for zelda would be pretty un-orthodox just because the major key thing that draws people into zelda is playing as the ever so mysterious Link. Now personally for me i think it would be interesting to play as a zora, one person play as a goron, one as a deku or sheikah, and lastly one person playing as link. And the game would be 3D, chapter/level based (the non-linear gamplay for zelda sounds a little interesting to me). The game could be compromised of huge war battles and you and your friends would fight in them, sorta like the Lotr games, which i think are quite fun. I think it would be an interesting turn for the mulitplayer zelda series to take.
