what should be the title of the new gamecube zelda.

The title of the game will have to do with the story and things like that. At this point noone can make a good ideal of the name, we dont know enough about it.

I dont really know what a good title for this game would be. As Cold said we know very little about the game and the title always has something to do with the game so making a title for a game we dont know anything about is kinda pointless

But it is fun to speculate about it.


We DO have a clue:

"The Legend of Zelda: The (Tentive Title)" This means that this new Zelda game has "The" in the title.

Methinks its: "The Legend Reborn"

or...

Zelda: The Triforce War (Like Link has to battle foes to protect the triforce)

That's the only two i have thought up.

I like: "The Legend Reborn" myself.

Zelda: "The Return of the Hero", that is good.

Another thing is, how are we going to initial it?

Take Wind Waker, we initial it as WW

Majora's Mask as MM

Ocarina of Time as OoT.

if the title really was: "The Legend Reborn", then we would initial it as "TLR"

I like your ideas I personally think that "Legend Reborn" is a cool title

If it's like OOT, MM, TWW, it'll most likely be named after an item in the game. So far, we have no idea about what's going to happen, so we can only speculate.

The Legend Reborn would be decent, but we won't really have a clue of what the name will be unless they release another trailer saying it or something. =/

To me it doesn't really matter what the name is, as long as it's not really stupid (i.e. Legend of Zelda: The Legend of Link). I do like the name The Legend of Zelda: Reborn. It makes it sound like the series is beginning all over again.

I think we should wait for actual information about the game's story and items before the title speculation starts. Right now the only titles we can come up with are ones that sound cool but mean nothing.

I'll just accept whatever Nintendo comes up with, if it isn't too ****ty. I have no ideas for the title myself.

For all we know it'll be Legend of Zelda: Return of the Hookshot.... It could be named after anything...

Lol, I really don't know, and we won't know until the Big N tells us. It will probably be named after an item, as the patern has been. A Legend Reborn isn't bad though..

The Legend Reborn sounds great, but yeah, I'll generally accept whatever Nintendo thinks is best, so long as it doesn't suck! ^_^;

I'm against anything that sounds like it's about to rip off the matrix... Probably an all-new item...

I'd sorta have to agree with you here. Practically any Zelda game with a sub-title, it always refers to something that has importance to Link's adventure.

Majora's Mask
Ocarina of Time
Oracle of Ages (technically Link is trying to save the Oracle, but uses her Harp or Time)
Oracle of Seasons (technically Link is trying to save the Oracle, bus uses her Rod of Seasons)
The Minish Cap
The Four Sword

So whatever the sub-title of Zelda'05 is going to be, it's most likely going to be named after an object or a person.

i think the title will point more towards "war" or "invasion" or something along those lines

I hope this title has more to do with story events than gameplay items. It worked in OoT because the story revolved around how Zelda gave Link the Ocarina when fleeing, but now Nintendo is getting very lazy (Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, what's next, Four Swords Quests?).
If Nintendo continues with this trend, maybe Epona (or Link's horse for those who don't believe it's Epona) will be featured in the title this time around, since horseback fighting is a major new part of the gameplay.
