Now having a tenitvie tilte of "four swords ds"

Quote:
Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda, has now confirmed the existence of the planned Zelda game for the Nintendo DS two-screened portable. In the interview with Spain's Club Nintendo he revealed that the game will in fact be a version of Zelda: The Four Swords and it will use both screens extremely effectively!
now there will be new idea;s on what Zelda Ds will be like.

Re: Zelda Ds

Maybe one screen will display the game and the other will display your items.
This will enable more faster and eifficient gameplay.

Re: Zelda Ds

I was hoping for a brand new title. Not the third time reused four swords. They came up with a pretty good multiplayer zelda title, but now I think its time for innovation. unless this game works really well I doubt I will even buy it. I was dissapointed with Zelda FSA. I'm hoping this is not another dissapointment that only sells becuase it has Zelda in the title.

Re: Zelda Ds

i would prefer a new title, not a remake of a remake.
and also, the second screen shouldn't be used for items. it should be used for other things. like tracking someone down... or you can control two characters simoltaniously (sp?). or switch between them. woah... That'd be good for the new Golden Sun game, like you have 2 parties, and one screen is felix, and the other is Isaac... they shouldn't have ended the game there...

sorry, not zelda. Anywho, 2nd screen not used for items!!!

I'm sick of this 'Four Sword' theme, it almost makes me puke, but that could be because I just ate a bunch of cupcakes and peanuts.

Re: Zelda Ds

2 Games and your ready to puke. Hmm.

I liked the first two four Swords... and they differed enough to make them both worth while (granted I have only been able to play the first one once... but that's not why I got the cartrage). But frankly, unless the new one is very inovative and diferent, that's all I wan't from this franchise.

Unfortunately, this four sword thing seems like the only way to incorperate multiplayer into Zelda without changing the game completely. I can live with that.

The ignorance in this thread amazes me. FSA was NOT a remake of FS, and anyone who thinks so obviously hasn't played both.

Not to say I support the idea of another FS, of course.

Re: Zelda Ds

I would love to see both titles come out for the DS. FS and a whole new adventure. I think I have a feeling on the dual screens will act out in FS. Like the GBA did in playing FSA. I am anticipating what Nintendo is pulling out for us.

Re: Zelda Ds

Ok, I don't mind seeing another Four Swords on the DS, (It's not like new mainstream Zelda games aren't on their way) but here is my question. How would Nintendo make good use of the stylus on the botttom screen?

Re: Zelda Ds

I hate It when Nintendo do this, they reuse the same game far too much.
Just look at the mario party games, what are they up to now, number 7.
And when the included mario bros. with every GBA game.
Nintendo faild miserably with their GC-GBA conectivity, why?
Because it was a rubish gimicy idea, as is the DS.

This is one Zelda game I will not be buying.

Re: Zelda Ds

OK, Sanguine, that was so true on so many levels. It was also so very very wrong.

I agree with the whole Mario Party thing, and am confused with the Mario Bros comment.

Play any conectivity game, and you will know it is not rubish. Gimicky, maybe, but certainly not rubish. Brings in a whole new degree of fun, it's a pitty it didn't catch on. The DS is inovative in so many ways, not just the dual screen... They are incorperating more ways of interactivity, no longer limiting players to pushing buttons. I don't know how voice recognition will come into play... but just having that as an option for developers is astounding.

Re: Zelda Ds

Ok, so pehaps there not rubish games, if you actually get the chance to play
them with other people. But most players don't know three other people with
GBA's and the cables, and so will only ever get to play games like FSA on
one player. And for £40 it's a rip off.

And is the DS really that inovative? Voice recognition is fine, but the touch
scrren just seems like a waste of time, I doubt it will add anything to the
future of gaming.
And if it plays as good as it looks, Nintendo had better start praying.

I like pushing buttons.

And the 'Mario Bros.' thing was refering to that pointless little arcade game
that was stuffed in with last 89 mario games, pure tedium.

Re: Zelda Ds

I hope they quit the FS theme, please, I hate it. It's always that blond little Link sprite with the four Links looking like a freaking rainbow.

Though seeing as the DS supports 3D a lot, it's probably not gonna be sprites after all... right?

Doesn't look good to you? Looks great to me. Even so... Every Nintendo system (as well as most other systems) look at leat twice as good when released as the prototypes.

...Unless you mean the casing, in which I have no idea how to respond to you.

Re: Zelda Ds

I trust Nintendo with their decision. So far, every Zelda game has pleased me, so what makes anyone think that this will be different? Personally, I like the idea of the Four Sword. Nintendo isn't stupid; they will take this concept to a new level, and it will most likely be enjoyable. So let Nintendo do their job, and who knows? Maybe all of you disbelievers will be proven wrong.
