Re: New Move Possibilities.

As for new moves.. hmm... maybe some sort of combo sword slashing attacks would be good. Sort of Link how Link fights in The Wind Waker. He does a couple of jumps and twirls whilst he's hitting the enemy with his sword. It would be godd to see Zelda 2005's Link do something along these lines. But really I just want the traditional moves Link does in the Zelda games like the old side jumps, back flips, jump attacks, sword thrust, hurricane spin, and every other type of swrd attack. And we've alread seen these in the trailer. So already, I am very happy. |

Re: New Move Possibilities.
I myself would like to see some kind of abseiling technique with the grapple hook. (Not to be confused with the hookshot) For instance, you've just come across a high ledge you need to reach that looks somewhat like this (poorly done) 2D diagram.
...________| ...|Area ...|you ...|need ...|to ...|get ...|to_________ ......................| ......................| ......................| Wall ......................| Several feet of the ground. The red stroke resembles the grapple point. ----------------- So you throw your grapple hook at the grapple point and abseil up the wall. Whilst abseiling, you're able to swing your sword left, right, and downwards. And you can climb to the left, to the right, downwards and upwards. When you reach the top you hoist yourself up and retrieve your grapple hook. So, is it a good idea? |

Re: New Move Possibilities.
I'd like an improved parry attack, one that could be used anytime, without the
"A" prompt, but it would do less damage, and look just as cool as it did in tWW. I'd also like to be able to wield two swords, and use them to block. Kind of like ganon did.

As for more attacks...well in tWW if Link doesn't have any weopon the only "attack" he could do was that rolling thing....but it never hurt an enemy! I'd like to go GTA for a second and like to see Link punch. Hey we could have Link punch in the Oracle games (with the help of a ring), why can't we in a 3D Zelda game? Hmm I've given this some thought....how about a "Light Tunic"? We have Fire arrows that correspond with the Goron Tunic, Ice arrows that correspond with the Zora Tunic, now how about having a tunic correspond with the Light Arrows? What the Light Tunic would be is a buffed up version of the Green Tunic (more defence), plus it would look cool. One more thing about the Light Tunic, I think it would show sence of symbolism between Link (wearing the Light Tunic), and Shadow Link (wearing a Black Tunic). Light versus Darkness, Good versus Evil, I think you get my drift. I'll have more later. -BGS

Re: New Move Possibilities.
Personally id like a much MUCH more arrow flight range.....cause if you see something in the distance you cant really deal any damage with it for quite sometime.

Re: New Move Possibilities.
Isn't that what you do in the geurdo fortress? Snipe people? My idea....
It would start like doing a parry in Wind Waker, the A button would flash and then you would just do a move. I think when you press the A button you dodge and right after that the color of the A button is red and slowly changes to purple, then a mossy green then back to normal Green. When it is changing and it is time to change from Red to Purple, the button would flash and then change to purple, when you attack during Red, you do a strong attack, when you attack during purple you do a slightly weaker than Red attack and then mossy green would be a weaker attack than purple and then normal green would be a jump attack. Depending on which color you press the A button the attack would be different. To prevent people from just going with the strong attack, some enemies can block the stronger ones but not the mossy green one. Then I was thinking of something like Super Smash Brothers. Melee, there could be a wall jump, the grab onto a ledge. There would be an enemy on the ledge and pressing A would make Link jump and and then slash automatticaly. The ideas sound O.K to me but I don't think they will be in Zelda.

Re: New Move Possibilities.
Maybe you can defeat shadow link and take his black tunic which you need to get into a darker kinda temple. I loved the black tunic in SSBM
. He should have learned how to swim, I mean he's surrounded by water and he's had some growing up time while hanging out with pirates. |

Re: New Move Possibilities.
I want a sort of handle that attaches itself to any material and allows you to pull it. Like if a block is even with a wall and you find no way to pull it, you can just have the handle attach itself right on the block, and then just pull.
I was also thinking of dual swords and one single heavy blade that Link holds with two hands.

Re: New Move Possibilities.
Some of the stuff he can do in Soal Caliber might translate nice into the game. Maybe a kick. That jumpy land with sword on the other guys head thingy. Nice stuff.
That sounded wanky.

As for a kick...I'd like Link to do a back kick. It just seems to me most of his attacks (except for his spin attack) are focusing the front part of his body (which is completely normal for a game). The only thing is, I don't want too much punching, kicking,& swordplay because it would sort of look like Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon or something. -BGS
