That video was really cool. Shows a lot about the gameplay.

Thanks for the vid Kankki1. ZZ thought it was odd that everyone was saying that the Stalfos scene was from the fire dungeon when all the screenshots seemed to be either concept art(which was only of Link as far as ZZ knows) or was from the demo.

Me trying to make SS look like TP.

I failed.

So according to the GT video, the mushrooms etc. are all in Skyloft and not the land beneath? I suppose I can live with that. Also, it appears that the Skyloft hosts the opening temple, which is where the Stalfos is. Sp therefore the Stalfos isn't in the fire temple, that red glow is a torch.

Yeah ok I saw the video too my bad it wasn't a fire temple, but it certainly wasn't a dark/shadow level either. Also how do you know that level is part of Skyloft and not Hyrule/Earth? Can I see your source/quote.

Twilight Princess' graphics were much more detailed and different that what Skyward Sword's is, so you can't really just change the saturation, contrast or brightness to a picture of the new game to make it look TP-esque.

i added a bit of a frosted glass effect too. i know it's pretty much impossible to do, but i'm just messing around to see what i can get.

Fair enough. I'm just trying to convince myself that those out of place mushrooms etc. aren't going to be part of the 'Hyrule' overworld. Unless Link is Semi Minish... :L

I wasn't trying to make it sound like it was a big deal to me, just an observation.

Also, the combat in that GT video looks great. It's look like every player will be able to play this game a little differently.

Top is TP style (sharpened the image, stretched the textures, decreased brightness very slightly, and decreased saturation by 10%)

Middle is current SS.

Bottom is how I'd like to see SS (increased contrast by 30%, decreased brightness by 30%, increased saturation by 30%).

^Ugh, that bottom one hurts my eyes. Its like staring into the sun.

Bottom one is more or less the same brightness as SMG.

I am going to say maybe on this. Hard to say. I did notice that Link had most weapons as well as 4 bottles here though, but seeing as this is a demo I don't know if that means much.

The colors in this picture are actually DARKER than the Spaceworld demo! HA ha! Thanks for posting that! Man, I would probably be blinded if Spaceworld Link walked outside.

Aaaaaand that was awesome. Finally some good sword fighting demo, Link freaking murdered those Bokoblins! And the Stalfos was no pushover, very pleased at that. Also, I love how the player failed at getting to that ledge, even with jump attack.

Only issue, Link looks so awkward running around with his sword like that! Knowing me I will hold my wiimote in the most retarded fashions to make Link look silly while he is running.

Link's clothing, except for in TP, has always been brightly coloured (I didn't dig TP's washed-out look that much). The key to attaining a realistic look is not in the overall brightness/saturation, but avoiding intense highlights. Bright clothing, but not monotone like OOT or highlighted like SS (use subtle gradients, in other words) is the way to go.

Did any one else notice that just like in TP Link will use both the sling shot AND the bow! What do you guys think of this?

I haven't seen this yet, so I'm posting it and it seems pretty sweet.

EDIT: Dang. I'm in love with this game now! >_< The sprinting animation reminds me of Link with the bunnyhood in MM. D'awww. And I notice the brightness is...bi-polar. How fitting.

Why does Link need the sling shot? What does the sling shot do that the bow can't do better? Maybe, as far as the gameplay of SS in concerned, you use the slingshot to shoot fast when you don't have time to snipe with the bow and deal with the Wii Sports resort style aiming. If that's the system then I'm okay with it, but in TP the sling shot was pointless after you got the bow. In OOT it worked because it was basically the arrows you used as a kid and WW just dropped that item all together.

hmm...Looks like the slingshot uses the pointer and the bow uses the motion plus.

I'd take the pointer over M+ anyday. D:
