online zelda

I've been pondering this for about 6 months now and i reckon an online Zelda game like world of warcraft would be good. You can play as Hylians, Gorons, Sheikah, Gerudos etc. with good species and bad. I'd like to know what you reckon would be good for it if it was a good idea

I don't like the idea. Zelda is Zelda and trying to turn it into something else doesn't sound the least appealing to me. There are other games you can play if you're after that kind of games. Let Zelda be the adventure series it's always been.

Zelda is not an RPG and it will never be a MMORPG.

We already have a thread very similar to this one. Anyway, I would like there to be a "The Legend of Zelda"-based MMORPG. I would like the ability to play as different races and professions and such.

I have played many 2D Zelda online games like you are saying you want them, and it's no great fun. It's just a nice picture in your head, but it's really not that fun and it ruins the feeling of real Zelda.

I wouldn't like the idea of a Zelda Sims kinda thing, but would something like Four Swords work someday w/ maybe a chat at the bottom or a mic for communication?

They *could* make a Zelda MMORPG, but it'd have to be very delicately handled so as not to destroy the magic of the game series. It'd have to be extremely well done for me to like it AT ALL, however, and the character creation process would have to be the best any MMORPG has ever seen. But I don't exactly *want* them to change Zelda at all.

Then it wouldn't be Zelda, now would it? Really, any attempt to make Zelda a MMORPG would just destroy it. CAuse Zelda isn't RPG, and you can't just take a game and turn it into something else. Just see what happened to Mario, he has to run around partying, playing tennis and every possible thing there is. Why not make the MArio games into MMORPG!? Yay, what a good idea. Everyone can play as goombas or shy guys!

Star Wars Galaxies is not a game to bow down before... I had it but cancelled my subscription last month. You just do the same thing over and over and in the end you just want to puke.

I can imagine what you're saying, but rarely do we dreaming fans get the games we dream for... It has happened though.

There already is a Zelda Online. Except it's 2D.
