Story:
Evil is amerging again. The Hero of Wind is not there to protect the land now. Hyrule needs a new hero! You must live the adventure, along with the help of your allies. This awsome Action-RPG will bring from the heart of the Hyrule Fields, through the depths of the Great Sea. You will be able to decide the fate of the world. Will you save it, or choose to conquer it? The Decision is yours. Your adventure awaits...

When will the game be finished?

It looks nice. But we can't even access the files due to the fact that it's AngelFire. Duh. >.< I'm marveling at these shots though. I love that you made Link's hair brown!

Is it self contained or do I have to download an engine?

Yes this looks like a marvellious game, how long has this tooken to make. I might download the demo later, can't now because I must go, but it sure looks interesting. Good luck and I can't wait to see the final result.

The current release dates planned are the following:

TLS Demo 2 (Up to 1st Boss) - July 9th, 2004
TLS Demo 3 (Up to the end of the Fire Dungeon) - December 9th, 2004
TLS Demo 4 (Up to the end of the Forest Dungeon) - Sometime in Summer 2005
TLS Demo 5 (Up to the end of the Ice Dungeon) - Sometime in Winter 2005
Full Game (Complete with everything) - Sometime in 2006

If everything is done on time, the final release date will be sometime in 2006.

Thanks for letting me know that. Angelfire has not been co-operating with me very well lately. I moved the site and everything to its new host at http://zfgn.gunsha.com/TLS/.

Thanks. Actually, the main character is just based off of Link and is not actually Link. His name is Alex and is 1 of 3 characters that are chosen to wield one of the Legendary Swords. He does have a connection to Link. You'll just have to find that out for yourself when you play some of the later releases of the game though.

It's all self contained into one downloadable file.

Necco20, if you read his post, he clearly stated that the full game would be released in 2006. Please read before you post, thank you.

That is by far the best looking fan game ever. If only the people who made the cd-i zeldas were as brilliant as you, then they would actually be enjoyable. You and this alex character have something good going for you.

The reason why it is so far away is because this game is going to be pretty big and only two people counting me are working on it. I plan to have 2 complete overworlds (one for a light world and one for a dark world), 4-6 dungeons, 6-8 bosses in the game.

Also, I think Nintendo might have a problem with the fact that I am making a game and using their characters even though I am not making a profit from it. If you've ever heard of the game Graal, you'll know what I'm talking about. I don't want to cause Nintendo any trouble. I'm just do this for fun and it's something I've always wanted to do...

Yes, don't let Nintendo find out or they'll shut you down!
