From looking at the concept art it came to me....

Do you think it is possible that in zelda 2005 there is going to be different fighting styles. I'm not sure how Zelda-ish it would be if they made it, but I think it would be pretty cool. Tell me what you think.

Actually, in the trailer, the fighting style looked pretty much the same, if you ask me.

Yeah, now that I read over my post it seems like I worded it badly. I don't think that Nintendo would show off anything new in their first trailer, just show some fighting, a land or two, a boss, etc. There is a good chance I am wrong about the fighting styles.

Re: From looking at the concept art it came to me....

Nintendo has been going for a whole load of inovation lately, I wouldn't be suprised to see this flow over into Zelda. Miyamoto mentioned at an E3 interview that they were foolign around with Mario 128 ideas to see what worked, they didn't even know the platform for it yet; if this new Zelda game is also operating on the same principle of working around to see what works we could have a plethora of new gameplay features.

Though if by fighting style, you mean stances and moves sets, such as we see becoming ever more popular in titles like Tao Feng and Jade Empire, I doubt it. But I think a possibility will be new ways to fight with new attacks and defensive manuvers incorporated into that.

Remember when there was the rumor that the spaceworld footage when it appeared it would be a game had Link's sword movements controles byt the C-Stick? I think there is a lot of possibilty for somehting along those lines opening up more advanded techniques while still having the ability for a simple jump attach-perry-attack system. There have been good example of what a Link character can do as a dedicated fighter, SSBM and especially at this point Soul Calibur 2, if hints are taken as how to open the characters potential up I think there is plenty of possibilty for new fighting style and battle controls.

Yeah, something I noticed about links jump attack is that when he attacks the monster in the woods that has arrows, the jump attack comes from the side and ends low as if to trip, but when he's fighting the boss/miniboss he uses the one we recognize from OoT.

Well, watching the video and pictures of Zelda 2005 and reading an interview with Miyamoto, he said he got to incorporate horseback fighting in this one (something he wanted to do in OoT, but lacked the good technology then). I wonder if the gameplay will be different while fighting on Horseback and if the fighting style will be fairly simple to get a hang of or not.

Re: From looking at the concept art it came to me....

i think the fighting style looks a little more violent if you asked me, i think they've matured link since he's gone through i think 9-10 quests, i think he might be a little used to this, but i mean look at the way he shows off the swordplay at the end, slices and dices the enemies when ehs riding, and in another trailer hes fightning ganon in a bedroom of somesort, and i thought that seemed alot more violent then the other Zelda games,

It does look more violent, and in my opinion, i think it will be good or those veteran Zelda players who have waited a long time for this. Or maybe it'll be the complete opposite. They've played for so long, they don't want that aspect of the game to change.

Funny, considering that each Link has only been around for about two or three games at most.

Wait, what trailer are you watching? There is only one released trailer. The other one that was shown (only once) was an extended one, but Ganon was not shown in it. It was just more scenes of Link riding his horse by a river, fighting a few more basic enemies, etc..

However, if such a trailer really does exist, don't hesitate to give us a link to it.

^He's confused. He thinks spaceword was an actual trailor. *prepares for speech*

Spaceworld2000 was only used to show off the gamecubes capabilities, there was never any plan to make it a Zelda game.

Wow Darkkoji, I really like them. Nice name, too, representing Zelda's Master Musician (i'm hoping that's what you were aiming for, otherwise I feel quite sheepish right now lol), but yeah anyways, good music!

Score! I was right! lol. Zelda music is awesome, I remember when I was playing Ocarina of Time, I would stand in Gerudo Fortress (so the moon wouldn't come up) and just listen to the song.

Re: From looking at the concept art it came to me....

This game will run on the WW engine. So my guess is Link will handle just like WW Link did in WW.

Not necessarily. Even though it's the same engine, they could change some stuff.
