Should these classic items make an appearence in Zelda 2005?

Should classic items that have made appearences in aLttP make be in Zelda 2005. Items such as the Fire Rod, the Ice Rod, Cane of Somaria, Cane of Byrna, the Magical Cape, Bombos, Quake, and Ether? I mean those were some of my favorite Zelda items of all time and I think they should deffinitely make an appearence in this game.

Re: Should these classic items make an appearence in Zelda 2005?

If the could create original items for LttP that are so cool that many would want to see them again couldn't they do the same for the next game or any future Zelda game? I'd rather see unique/original items that work well with the design of the game than old ones. Having items stay or comeback isn't bad as long as there are new ones I guess (and the new aren't overwhelmed by the old)

It depends in my opinion. If the items fit in the new Zelda, let the Ice and Fire rods be in it. The Cane of Somaria might make a good comeback too, but the Cane of Byrna would make the new Zelda more easy. And, since the latest Zeldas were easy during fights, it would make the new Zelda the biggest Cakewalk in Zelda history.

I think the Fire and Ice Rod should come back and maybe the magic cape as well. But I think the Bombos, Ether and Quake should either be replaced with other spells or not be there at all. I don't think the canes would be that good either.

hey ^^, u r a Legacy of Kain fan, am i right?

anyway, the canes should definatley come back, plus I'd love to see them in 3d glory. It's actually quite funny how noone cares about the story, cause we all know its gonna rock. That guy (even though it looks like a girl, I'm gonna say guy for argument's sake), looks like link before he decided to relive his lost days... maybe he had another task to perform, and if the WWWorld has from Hyrule's mountainous regions, it would mean there's gotta be a good deal of hyrul yet undiscovered by link. TO get back on topic (sorry bout that, i type as i'm thinking), the canes are a must have, the rods are really replaced by arrows (AFAIK, they were only used to shoot fireballs/iceballs at things), and the magic cape might be OK near the end of the game. What I'd really like is if they had all the old ZELDA items made and included in the gamecode, but you can only get them once completing the game under certain conditions. Sorta like the DOGTAG part of MGS (but TTS had no extras to give you, MGS2 had stealth and bandana). That sorta thing would increase the lifespan of the games by a long way.

oh, and sorry for long post.

I'd like to see that cape that makes you invisible, but that's about it. I just can't see how any of those other items would work...

First off...

1. yes I am a Legacy of Kain fan,

2. I only said that the Rods wouldn't be that good because the cane of byrna (I think that's how you spell it) was on Soul Caliber 2 and I just lost my liking for it.

3. Oh yeah, Fire Arrows - Fire Rod, Ice Arrows - Ice Rod. Never noticed that before.

You certainly know a lot.

True, mainly new equipment in my opinion. 2 small Gerudo knives for Link perhaps?

But still, we all know a lot of items are going to be "recycled". And we all know which: MS, Mirror Shield, Hookshot, etc.

Too be honest, I'm getting a bit bored of the Master Sword and Mirror Shield.
They're in so many games...

That's what I meant with adding new equipment. I don't mind the MS that much, but the Mirror Shield really has gotten old.

Sorry, bit tired at the moment.

I don't really like the Master Sword that much 'cos it's the same thing every time, Only the true hero can pull the sword out. Bit like "The Sword in the Stone".

man u cant get tired of the master sword. right now the four sword is gonna be the big thing untill zelda 05 comes out. yes, they could come up with a different shield and i really dont like the hookshot but i cant see a game w/o it so i guess we will get that again.

I prefer the Four Sword to the Master Sword cos' I like link in blue.

I would like to see the Hero of Time with the Hero of Winds equipment though.
It would be interesting.

I did see the Ice Rod/Ice arrow, Fire Rod/Fire arrow connection, but they are different. I mean for one you don't need arrows to use the rods magic. The Rods could be more of an attacking item. I would love to see the medallions make a comeback.
