Miniblins in Z'05

Miniblins are sort of silly. (You know, with the little dah-nah sound and skull hammer smashing.) The next game does not seem to favor silly. Are they going to somehow seriousize them or get rid of them all together?

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

GAH!! MINIBLINS SHALL LIVE ON FOREVER!!! (Wotta surprise that Miniblin responded to this thread). I loves them so much! I think that they could pull off putting Miniblins in the new game. No Zelda game is without humor. Imagine, a whole swarm of realistic goat-like demons, yelling and poking Link with their pitchforks. Then, a giant Miniblin rises out from the ground, with a deep, rumbling "DAH LEH!!" he brings his huge flaming pitchfork down on poor Link.

Ok, I'm done now. I think that if there are Bokoblins, there are Miniblins, Moblins, and every other "-blin".

Long live the Miniblin. Good day.

I think there will be Miniblins but maybe edit the noises a bit. They were fun opponents due to their endless-ness.

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

I loved the Miniblins.

And I think it is far to premature to say silly things would be out of place.

The commercials and trailors for OoT were just as serious as this new trailor, or close enough... yet OoT featured talking trees, fish, rocks, and owls, a Happy Mask Shop, idiotic guards, and tons and tons of nonsensical things like that.

I am willing to bet that this game will too, and that miniblins would not be out of place at all.

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

Hmmm me, I personally found them extreamly annoying in tWW. But I will give them a chance if they apear in Zelda'05. I can just imagine...they will sorta be like wallmasters. From the shadows, they will emerge from another dimention and shout out their war cry "Na-na" (or whatever they say) just before attacking Link with their spears, tritons, and clubs.

Speaking about enemies in Zelda'05, I noticed something in the trailer. (you must look closely) When Link is in the forrest you can see at one moment he is fighting a monster with a torso, a head, and two arms and it looks to me he is coming out of the ground. Now...I went back to ZU to see which monster looks like this that rang a little bell in my head when I saw it. It was from ALttP. A geldman. Now in the official art(not shown here in ZU) from ALttP, it looks to me that a geldman is a couple of stories tall. Way too big to be the monster I saw in the trailer. So I though....could this be a new monster. Probably called the "minigeldman"? who knows, only time will tell. I just wish that I had a picture of the "minigeldman" I saw in the trailer so you can compare and contrast. I have here a picture ,from ALttP, of a Geldman below so you could keep your eyes open for that in the trailer.

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

I have watched the trailor way too many times, BGS. If I am correct, it's the thing that Link does the spin attack against, right? And then it sort of flails it's arms?

So yeah, if they made the miniblins different but kept the concept it could probably match the seriousness of the game.(lord-of-shadow You're point is taken, but I feel that with enemies it's different.)

Yep that would be the one (talking about the enemy that flails his arms around). For Miniblin's sake, I hope that the miniblins are in this new game...(can't believe I'm about to say this but...) long live the miniblins

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

well Zelda 05 could make anything looka gooda. moblins where alright but i would rather not see them in there. just a little to easy to defeat. but like in the WW i would like to see a few more Iron Knuckles. There wherent enough in OoT and those where the only thing that would really give me a challenge.

Thank you for articulating my thoughts for me, Shadow. In fact, the Wind Waker trailer was very serious as well, yet that game featured comedic value as well.

I say it's wrong to assume that the next game will be uber-serious. After Zelda 2, all Zelda games contained a flair for comedic style. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask had quite goofy looking characters, and I'm willing to bet that comedic style will be key to this next game as well. So yes, I agree that miniblins will fit in quite nicely in this game.

Too bad. There already is a moblin in there.. It's visible in both the trailer and the screenshots.

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

I agree with Miniblin, Miniblins are excellent! It would be good if they didnt make an appearance for the majority of the game, then when gamers think the game is serious unlike the other, and they enter a Mini boss room near the end of the game, it goes dark and the music goes really eerie as if its a powerful boss, then 50 Miniblins pop out with the *dah-din!* noise...

That would really surprise people :p

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

Miniblins... I dislike them. Their noises annoy me, and the fact that they pop out of nowhere like annoying little horny elves is one of the reasons I dislike them. I wouldn't care if they put them in the next game or not, they're too stupid for me to care.

Mmh, but the monster in the trailer has longer and wavy arms and a thin body.

EDIT: Ok I found a picture, Geldmans are made of sand or mug, unlike that new monster.

I think Miniblins would definitely make the game more enjoyable...even if it had a bad storyline and everything else imaginable, if it is Zelda and has miniblins, I will buy it. Most games nowadays are too serious anyway. Plus, Miniblins are probably my second favorite enemy(fav=Phantom Ganon), and definitely favorite non-boss enemy, in tWW.

Re: Miniblins in Z'05

Anyone one who said anything bad about my beloved goat-monsters shall die painfully. Feel the wrath of my pitchfork, for I am hiding in your closet and shall use it on you when you walk by me- Ooooh!! Food!! (Starts eating and forgets about what she was talking about.)

I'm glad people agreed with me on the point that no Zelda game is totally serious. Moosh, the owl, Blano, Ricky, Maka Tree in Seasons, Ralph, Skullkids, Happy Mask Salesman, the "SLOOOOSH" guy, the list goes on. Strange, funny, and amsuing characters are just part of Zelda.
