As long as the gameplay's good, and there's a lot of content, it could be a better game even if the graphics aren't that good.

Iwata or Miyamoto or whoever said that HD was the next logical step. They basically said it WILL happen. They just don't have any plans right now because they're too busy printing money on their DSs/Wiis.

You misinterpreted me. I said that Nintendo's next console will not have anything to do with the Wii, except for being made by the same company.

Wii HD or Super Wii or whatever, will not exist. Nintendo's next console will be all-new.

In other words, concerning, "Wii HD", the "HD" part will be true, whereas the "Wii" part won't be.

The fact that it will have HD has nothing to do with the "hardcore", it is all to do with falling costs of the tech required.

I'm sure that 2010 is unlikely though, unless SMG2 AND Other M are both released early 2010.

Well. They're aiming or 2010. 3 major franchise games isn't bad...not bad at all. That would be one heck of a Holiday for Nintendo. I think Z-Wii will be way after MoM and Mario though.

Oh I've no idea whether or not the game actually will be released in 2010. I was just pointing out that we can't really say it won't be released, with 100% certainty, in 2010, based on that article.

SMG2 early 2010 + Other M ???-2010 + ZWii holiday 2010.

Considering that the core aren't the centre of the industry anymore, that would be epic... too epic.

If they release ZWii in 2010, they'll probably have nothing for 2011. It'd be 2008 all over again .

...A year is a long time. I know Nintendo fans aren't used to these things but on the PS3/360 major triple A titles are released by the dozens each year. Nintendo said it back at their suckiest E3. They showed crap throughout the entire conference but Miyamoto later said all major teams are hard at work. They just all started around the same time. The Hardcore titles are coming, but the difference is awesome games = 3 to 4 years. Casual games = less than a year.

They'll always have something for any year, like they always do. It's Nintendo, not a local ketchup factory which runs out of ideas for a new ketchup taste.

Not committed for 2010 means that he doesn't have enough on his feet to give an estimate like that. Zelda titles can have more flexible development situations, like Blizzard games.

Yeah, but the problem is, it's mainstream ketchup, and you "hardcore" people don't really like it.

When Nintendo announces a deadline for a major Zelda game, that deadline is usually pushed back.

Holiday 2010 isn't even an announced deadline, it's a "maybe".

xD 20 year long development time? Zelda is not Blizzard.

2010 is still too early.

Having Zelda, Mario and Metroid (2010) directly after Zelda and Mario (2009) would leave them with no ammunition for their big guns. Besides, there's so much coming out in 2010 on the HD consoles, you don't even need that much Nintendo.

If we get Metroid and Galaxy 2 next year, along with a few great third party releases, it'll be perfectly fine with me. A Zelda Wii trailer at some point before fall 2010 would be the cherry on the cake. Then for 2011, you can expect Pikmin 3, Zelda Wii, Vitality sensor software and more that we don't have any clue about yet. That sounds pretty great to me, for the Wii.

Lol. Well, if Zelda does make it in 2010 I would expect it to be at the last possible date. If Miyamoto think's it possible then I would diss the notion. I think 2010 will definitely be THE major hype year for Zelda fans.

2010 could bring a couple of ZWii trailers, so all hope isn't lost.

ONE trailer. That's it. Really. I'm already mad for spoiling the beginning of ST...AND I've already seen the first 2 bosses! This is TP all over again. I hate spoiling puzzles.
