Official Spirit Tracks Hype Thread

Hey guys, I'm going to try creating some order in the chaos that is ST debate right now.


In this thread, we post such things as "OMG did you see the new trailer it looks awesome, all hail Ganontrain!" or if you've changed your mind about ST. Will you deffinately buy it now or does it look like idiocy?


Now, I'll also make another thread (merge of two earlier ones) that is for analyzing. In that thread, you'll be posting such things as
"The guard also looks like Gonzo from TWW. I also believe that Hombre is wrong and that Ganontrain is someone else" or if you have anything to add about gameplay, story etc.

Oh, I'm definitely buying this game, no doubt about it. I was planning to do so even before these trailers were released, but now this has sealed my decision.

I just hope we get a release date in Australia soon!

She's a spirit. Although alive too. That wasn't really what I had expected, but I suppose it's better than your usual "princess-was-kidnapped" thing.

Even if she... was... kidnapped...

Oh, that's lame. xD So Zelda is terrified of mice, even though she is a ghost possessing an invincible suit of armor? Haha. (Great trailer, BTW. Very informative.)

I really like how Zelda has a guard/servant who happens to be a descendant/reincarnation of one of her pirate goons. With any luck, we'll see more reincarnations of previous characters (from both Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass), and hell, maybe even a reimagining of Linebeck as a side character.

Like in MM, how the same character models were used, but with altered personality and backstory.

Aww yes, just saw the first video. She's the Phantommmmmm.

That's honestly great news. The only way it could have been better would be if they revealed it towards the end of the game, and not before the game launched. Pull another Sheik, if you will. It's still a nice twist to the whole save-the-princess plot though, because the princess is gonna be WITH you... inside an armor!

Alphonse Elric references are gonna be all over the place, I tell you.

Yeah. And I found out that Zelda gives him those clothes so that he can blend in with the guards.

She's probably not used to thinking she's a ghost in a suit of armor. I think a thing like dying and posessing a suit of armor would take a little time to sink in deep enough that you'd remember you're invincible before you react to things. Instinctive reactions happen before you think. Besides, if you're scared of something, knowing it can't hurt you doesn't really help, you're still scared.
I thought it was funny and cute and showed that it's not just some random armor, that's still Zelda in there


Heee this looks so fun! I preordered the game just last night, and now there's this, this is epic! They do something different with Zelda for a change, and she's there with you, how cool is that! I wish it was December... Waiting is hard.

So, would now be a good time to back away from the internet for a month or so to avoid spoilers?

People said that PH was going to be a MM to tWW. They were dead wrong.

Bu this game does look much more appealing than PH. The story alone has me interested. I just hope the gameplay isn't as basic and boring as PH. I know Miyamoto said that this Zelda was going to be more challenging, but he said the game would be challenging to fans introduced to the series through PH (which is a baby game).

I'll just have to wait and play.
