Ganondorf's Story
I think it would be interesting if there was a Zelda game made where you are Ganondorf telling his story on how he became the King of Gerudos. I mean, there is a huge chunk missing about Ganondorf! It would be cool to see how he got the triforce of power and became Ganon. What do you think?

Re: Ganondorf's Story
Mandrag is pretty much right, what with the one male every 100 years thing. I think it would still be nice to see more of his "upbringing" however. But I don't think it would make a good complete game no, some cutscenes would really be pushing it.

Haha, yeah, I guess that's what I meant was his "upbringing".

Re: Ganondorf's Story
It would be difficult to work something like that into a plot. Ganondorf isn't one to reminisce, so I doubt he'd monologue for long enough to give you an insight into his upbringing. It would need to be told from the point of view of other people, and they're probably all dead. Maybe ghosts could tell the story?

Re: Ganondorf's Story
You people lack imagination.
Here we have a character who, by the time we first encountered him, is the world's most powerful sorceror and warlord, coming from a place where he said death was everywhere and inescapable. He has a relentless thirst for power, which has yet to be explained. From the day he was born he had the responsebility to rule as king, not ever having the opportunity to be something else. Those are just some points which could be touched upon in a Ganondorf story. 'How does someone become a Ganondorf?' is what the story should be about. However, a game focussing on him wouldn't be nintendo's thing I guess. Too bad.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
It's not that we lack imagination it's just that it's already been imagined. We know (mostly) the main points of Ganondorfs life before he was sealed. Filling up the blanks is just the gamer's option. And it's a good option, it works well with his "mysterious" quality.

It might be mysterious but it becomes stale and cliche after a while if Ganondorf stays a one dimensional character. In my opinion he is the most potent character in the whole series which has yet to have a chance to truly shine. With his background Nintendo could take him much further while still keeping him mysterious.

And I'm sure they plan to, but only when they're certain that they've milked his mystery for all it's worth, which we haven't seen yet.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
It is too bad Ganondorf doesn't get the attention he deserves. I fangirl him to death, but I'd like to see his role expanded upon, or at the very least explained how he even got to that point. So he coveted Hyrule because it was more hospitable than the desert. So what? How did that grow and change into the twisted desire we're all so familiar with now?
With that said, I think he should win. At least once. That right there would definitely put some new light on him. And make for one helluva dark game.

How you figure, sports fan?
He was in it. But I don't think it qualifies as 'his' story.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
Yeah and windwaker was his too... Both turned out to be one of the most favored and memorable games of Zelda. Both games Ganondorf was at his best, why? Because he was a more developed character then he use to be. When Ganondorf was confirmed for TP a lot of Zelda fans were hyped, because they were expecting Ganondorf like we use to know him in windwaker and Oot and we wanted more of the developed side. People even thought Ganondorf was going to help Link this time or had another role (Eiji hinted that in an interview) But instead we almost got nothing and that's why people want to get rid of him now. He failed the expectation of TP.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
I accept with information:he has the most potention to be the best Zelda character of all. Even in Super smash bros brawl Ganondorf was the coolest Nintendo villian to be introduced.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
OoT showed Ganondorf's orgins. Remember he was Ganon before OoT came around. It showed how he chilled around and how he got really evil. It was his orgin's story. Based right off of ALttP's manual where Ganondorf touched the Triforce.
Just like Vaati's orgins are in TMC.

Re: Ganondorf's Story
I think it's an interesting concept!
I love the idea of learning more about Ganondorf - he's a far more interesting character than Link, in my opinion. |

Re: Ganondorf's Story
Sure it did show , but, it's not good enough though. At least for me. I wanna see him grow up and see how he trained as a young Gerudo thief and then in detail how he got his hands on the Triforce of Power and, what way and how did he get out of the Realm of Evil. Imagine the Gerudo fortress back when it's brand new, with him in the training grounds. I think it'd be an awesome idea to play as Ganondorf when he was young.
