Turn-Based Zelda

Not that I support or oppose the idea or anything, but how would a turn-based Zelda game work and what would your opinion on it be?

Definitely not a ZELDA game, with Link and such
but i guess a TBS based of the Hyrule universe would be pretty awesome.
Hyrule does have really really original fantasy.

IT could work Kind of Like the Heroes games in the M&M series.
explaining some history and plot, but mostly focusing on gameplay

Seems to me that turn based is a dying genre. I like Final Fantasy beng turnbased and I'm sad that they changed up. But in general, turn based is...not good for a series like Zelda.

I want to say no.
But then I think about all of the fantastic Mario turn-based-games, I actually like them MORE than their platforming counterparts.
I'd give it a go.

The only series where turned-based is fun: Pokémon.

Final Fantasy would be a much better series if it didn't have turned-based fighting. That's why I didn't include it.

I thought by the way Adventures of Link on NES was done, that would have been a good game to do turn-based action.

Turn-based like Final Fantasy or turn-based like Fire Emblem?

...If it was a spin-off then yes. >_> Otherwise no, no major Zelda will be turn based.
