LOZ: Dawn of Death

This is my Zelda game idea, it kind of leads up into Alttp
It takes place after TP (not right after) and following the lead of official art. Heavily involves fairy girl/ master sword.

HISTORY

the backstory of this game occurs long long long long long long long before MC it assumes that the Interloper conflict happened, then the Creation of the master sword to seal the sacred realm. The MS is not used because currently NO ONE has control of the sacred realm, unlike in OoT where the King of Hyrule more or less has the most access to the triforce. The HoM conflict is unrelated, and just is a smaller scale conflict like a civil war among the Hylians/humans themselves.

Old
In the begining, Faore the goddess of life created 6 greater dieties to watch over the peoples most in need of guidance. Each of these deities corresponded to a specific race.

Kokiri- great Deku tree
Zora(by extension Yeti's)- Juba-juba
Gorons - valoo
Occa(by extenseion humans and hylians)- Kaporea Gaborea
Gerudu- Sand Goddess
Interlopers- Majora

each of these great beings represented something different. The Deku tree admired nature, and its beauty and innocence, acting as the father for the children of the forest. Juba-Juba wanted peace and tranquility, trying to stay neutral of other hyrulian conflicts. The Kaporea Gaborea thirsted for knowledge, his people trying to discover more of the 3 goddesses that created them. Valoo valued hard work. He people tired laboriously in the hot volcanic craters. Last The Sand Goddess strove for strength, living in the harshest of landscapes to ensure her people were the strongest and most fearless.

Majora however the youngest of the deities, was different. She saw what the other deities did, and strove to be different. Her, and her people devoted themselves to only one thing, Chaos. She caused must disruption in the world, creating something previously unheard of. Before, people just lived, but Majora brought Death upon the world. The other five deities banished her. Not being able to kill her due to her divine nature, they put her in a mask, and gave her back to her people.

To guide these poor dead souls, the 5 deities combined their power to form a guardian for these restless spirits. They called her Dalsheik. She was guide lost spirits lost to death.

The interlopers could not contact their supreme deity, but they could use the mask to enhance their magical powers. Some of them detested it, seeing the evil in majora, but others used it to dominate and rule. They created the Fused Shadow to control the Triforce, and the sacred realm.
The Goddesses were angered, and as a resulted, banished the said interlopers to the Twilit realm, forever forsaken by their gods. They created the Light Spirits to protect the sacred realm once more
The rest, feeling bad for their lost bothers, confronted dalsheik, who agreed to build a bridge of sorts to these people, under the condition that they lay the mask to rest for good, and follow him. They became known as the Shieka.
Similarily there was a divergence among the worshipers of kaporea Gaborea. Some of the Occa (then Humanoid) wanted to jion their leader in the sky. Others where happy worshiping the gods on earth, seeing them as ultimately the most important, the hylians. Others distanced themselves from religion all together and as a result lost their magical powers over time, they became known as Humans.

CURRENT (post OoT)
As time went on, the deities seal on the mask weakened, and it was picked up by a mask salesmen. He was then robbed by a skull kid in the woods, transported to termina, etc. (see majoras mask) At the end Link defeated the Mask, ironically, this only released the great evil back onto hyrule.

The spirit appeared in the abandoned city of her followers, and she began to grow, slowly, for hundreds of years, she fed on the pain and suffering of the world, until she gained enough power to fight back. She started with a cataclysmic earthquake, aiming for one target. As she sifted through all the destruction, there was one that stuck out. The death of a gerudo man, by the name of Ganondorf. The legendary Master sword was the only thing that stood in her way of ensuring Death and destruction on all. So she did 2 things, First she created the Trident of Power out of ganondorf's essence, and then she created a cataclysmic Earthquake and aimed it at the master sword. It shattered, and out of it rose a fairy, its guardian, Majora took her and threw her into the forsaken land, the twilight realm.

Thats pretty much it for the history/ backround of thegame.

I'll post more tomorrow, I'm rather tired,
I started with the history first because i felt it was one of the most important aspects of this game.

TO COME:

Plot outline

Dungeons- there are alot of them- 15 in total

ITEMS once again LOTS of them

Sidequests- LOTS- mostly for upgraded items/bottles and a few different kinds of swords. (Big Goron like sword, Kantana's / Axe?)

Also just as a note- no more money lying in the freaking grass. All money will be either from fallen enemies, pots or Treasure chests, otherwise its just too easy to get.

geography- how does this relate to TP hyrule?

Quote:
Plot Outline
Link starts out in Ordon, he is a descendant of TP link. Being older he is on the Village Council.
He starts out, talks to people gets some basic items, bottle, wooden sword, etc., and then there is the Earthquake. Sent to the Earth shrine in the Ordon Hills, (which are south of the villiage) to see whats up, accompanying him is his friend Brom. Brom is kind of like Russel in TP. They get ambushed, Brom gets kidnapped and dragged into the Earth Shrine, which opens into a lage underground cave system.
Link goes back to tell the village to get help only to find it overrun by the things that took Brom. He takes some of the towns fighting equipment, a metal sword, wooden shield, and goes back to find Brom.

Earth shrine- simple, the main items are bombs, used to break through cave walls.

Saves Brom, the Evil left the temple, etc, so the village is fine again. Brom suggests Link goes to Visit Hyrule castle.

He goes to hyrule castle, and finds it full of bad guys, finds bow- saves zelda, talks to her. She is cryptic and terrified Zelda tells him he must bring the leaders of the Zora and the Gorons to hyrule to discuss this,
The princess gives him the Harp of Healing and teaches him Zelda's Lullaby. to gain access to to the Zora

Link goes to visit the Zora and tries to presuade them to go meet Zelda, but they refuse because they can't ask their leader Juba-juba, advice on the matter, they say if link finds him, they will consider it. Give him Zora armor to aid his quest.

Watershed Cavern- as it turns out, Juba-juba is hidden in a vast cave system under zora's Domain. This is not the standard water dungeon, its primarily focused on fighting skill rather than puzzle solving ability. The main item is the iron boots, as there necessary for any sword fighting under water, and create access to otherwise impossible to reach parts of the dugeon.

Re: LOZ: Dawn of Death

They go visit Zelda, she teaches Link Saria's song, to enter the goron city. The Gorons like the song, so will listen to link because he knows it. Link Speaks With the Goron Elder, but he refuses to leave his people when they are in trouble. The Goron mines have malfunctioned, and Link goes in to fix them
This is a fairly mechanical dungeon, taken a little further than TP's goron mines in Some ways, but making it fit the them a bit mroe, It includes magnetism, and there are lots of switches and gear related puzzles. The key item in this dungeon the Boomerang. Sadly however, it does not cut through vines. Instead, it is used like in PH to Light torches, stun enemies, and hit switches in awkward places that can't be hit by an arrow/sword. Obviously its mechanical, but it doesn't have a cyber feel. It's very steampunky, something i think suits the gorons very well, hyrule as a whole, debatable, but jsut the gorons? why not?

Link and the Goron Elder then go to Hyrule castle, Talk to Zelda, and discover much of the world is experiencing chaos. Zelda brings in Kaporea Gaborea, and he tells of the most ancient of Evils that has broken free (he's vague) and explains the only hope of destroying it is the Master sword.

Link flies him to the Sacred Grove. This temple is completely and utterly destroyed. Link Gets dropped, Kaporea explains that this is where the MS sword lies to vanquish the Great Evil.
IT is a wasteland, nothing like it was before. Kaporea explains that this is because a demon, an early follower of the Great Evil, has destroyed it all, trying to destroy the legendary blade. He flies away. and as soon as you get Outside of the temple itself, there is a gian inpenitrable pile of ruble and debris. Rarua Appears, and he tells you he can take you back in time to stop the evil demon from destroying the temple, and blocking away the MS
Sacred Grove- Basically, Link travels, with the assistance of Rurua, throughout the past and present of the sacred grove, finding ways to position 7 mirrors, in the past and present to destroy the wall of ruble in the present. Then you fight the demon, once again. switching between the past and present mid-fight, creating weaknesses in the past, and exploiting them in the future.
You finally reach the pedestal with the MS, and it is... GONE. all that is there is the shard of the tip. still stuck in the stone. Link touches it, and suddenly is connected to the spirit of the MS.

The sword spirit tells you the sword has been broken into 7 shards. (including the one that link just got.) and that only by fixing the sword you can defeat evil. She also teaches you the Call tothe Wise to contact her. Then she tells you to visit the City in the sky. you start to go out of the temple until you reach a tower. Go in. Its like a basic Mini-dungeon. There is a gap in the stairs stopping you from getting to the top. You must find the clawshot. Once you do go up and your in the city in the sky

you talk to people until you discover that 3 locations of shards are known. In the Southern Jungle, the Lake of Fire, and the lake of Ice.

You also get the teleporting ability, you learn the Melody of the Wind, which allows you to travel to already visited locations.

These 3 dungeons are marked on you map now, and
can be done in any order. (YAY non-linear games)

the standard first dungeon is the Kokiri Villiage.

Travel south on epona and you'll reach the forest. you'll walk in on a path until you meet the Great Deku Tree! you talk to him, and he explains how his people moved far south to insure there protection in the forest. and he tells you of how the village has been taken over.

you go to village, defeat evil, and get the sword shard.
MS girl tells you to look for the next shard.

Lake of Fire. Its essentially a lake of lava. You can't survive long, so you have to go to the gorons and get the goron tunic. With this you can survive by the lake. Additionally, you need to get across the lake to the Tower of Flames. It just requires going along some Moving Platforms with the hookshoot until you reach the tower.

Complete dugeon, get shard, talk to MS girl
