this isn't a sequal exactly, but it does feature Majora's Mask so i'm just reposting something i wrote in another forum. It goes alot into the masks history, assuming the mask came from the world of hyrule
Majora was originally was one of the 6 great spirits created by the gods, and there is one for each group
Hylians- Owl? (from
OoT drawing a blank on the name)
Gorons - Valoo
Zora- Juba-Juba
Kokiri- Great Deku Tree
Gerudo- Sand Godess
shieka- bongo-bong0? (shieka's spirit is special)
each created an important aspect of the world
occa- knowledge
gorons- strength
zora- peace
kokiri- life
Sand Goddess- honor
shieka- guidance.
Majora- interlopers
interlopers- destruction (fused shadow/ started wars)
the spirit majora is banished for bringing darkness into the world and
gets sealed in the mask by the Gods, but the interlopers still used it.
The shieka were created from a divergence with the interlopers (hence tear and evil eye)
After the interlopers were banished the other spirits felt that something was missing, so they created Bongo-Bongo to guide people to the dead
New Locations
this mostly takes place in a very southernly expanded Ordona Province
The hylians are of course in Hyrule castle town/ some in kariko
The humans are in the ordon hills (south of Ordon Villiage), kariko, and ordon villiage)
The Kokiri move south to a jungle. The zoras, gorons stay in more or less the same place,
The occa in their bird forms are in the treetops of the Faron woods .
Just for reference, the Hylians and humans are both divergences of the occa.
The Shieka are in a haunted wasteland from the interloper conflict, they try to guide lost souls
The gorons also live on an ancient fire lake, which is where valoo is found
The gerudu are in the same big old desert
Other locations of note:
The Mountain of Light is where the ancient Occa's lived, being closest to the gods (led here by hylains)
The Lost City is where the interlopers once lived and where majora lies
The twilite realm is accessable later in the game (and actually useful too)its home to a sword shard, and its home to various items, and side quests (no wolf form though, it complicates the gameplay too much at this piont, you need a light crystal or something to go here)
The master sword was created after the banishment of majora, to ensure protection of Hyrule
Majora returns with an intent to destroy the world, believing death is the ultimate good. This is seen by a series of increasing earthquakes throughout the game. there is no time limit though, there is no need for an MM copy here, we jsut want to maintain that dark feel, and that awesome villian, while having a Storyline equal to
OoT in epicness
Majora (ironically) got released because of the events of Majors Mask, majoras essence went back to its sanctuary in the Chamber of Chaos Inside the Temple of Destruction, She takes the form of a giant pulsating heart, connected to the ground beneath her, infecting the earth. she grows off of the death she created for a long time, eventually reaching the races of hyrule, and learning of the great master sword. she shaters it through a great earthquake, shattering the master sword, and curses the temple of time. You get a fairy guide, (sword girl) after the earthquake. was not part of the sword, but fusing it with her is the key to killing majora. She is the gia, a queen fairy of the world, and the sword does not kill majora without her joining it. (at the end of the game)
In thinking tons of dugeons too
4 right away, then 3 plot driven dugeons to find the MS/ information on Majora,
the 2 sets of 3 nonlinear dungeons, with a visit to the twilight realm in between, and then a Final epic Temple to Majora.
Also LOTS of sidequests- so many sidequests that it would take me a year of non-stop playing to get a 100% complete file.
and i want it too be hard,
TP was way to easy, particularly enemy-wise.
