It has been confirmed that ZWII Link is not TP link nor does it take place near twilight princess time period. I wiah people would stop saying its gonna be a sequel.

It'll be set in the Modern Day where Link is really a superhero trying to adjust after super-heroing has been banned (read: by doing it anyway) and ends up finding a plot to kill other heroes that ends with half of Hyrule getting blown up/driven insane.

In all seriousness, though, I have no idea. I'd wait and be suprised to be honest.

Where did you hear that? Where's your source? And anyway, nothing is 100% confirmed until we get a trailer. And the game might get changed even after a trailer is released.

The whole point of this thread is guessing what the next game's plot will be. So that, in two years, when we already know what happens, we can come back and look at this thread and see whose guess was the closest to the actual plot. Saavy?

Want to make a guess about what the Non-TP-sequel's plot is going to be, then?

Because I am very, VERY bored (and love coming up with plot predictions,) I predict that the actual plot line will be something like like this:


1. Hyrule is under attack, or is overruled by a brand new villain or evil race.

2. The sages, Royal family, etc., select an extremely powerful magical being (either a fairy or some one from the Realm of Light, to defeat the villain. The downside is though, is that she's only a child, and has much to learn about about magic powers and whatnot. In other words, she doesn't truly realize how powerful she is yet.

3. Unfortunately, the mysterious girl is captured by the villain(s) before the sages, royal family, etc. can properly train her.

4. Cue to Link, who's an average joe (as usual) at the start of the game.

5. Eventually, Link is accidentally thrown into a series of events that forces him to save the girl.

6. Link is then chosen by the goddesses to be the next (or first?) wielder of the Triforce of Courage.

7. The sages, royal family, etc. notice this, so they ask him to protect the girl, and guide her to the several (blank) temples to restore/gain all of her (blank) powers, so that she may defeat the evil villain(s). Link humbly obliges.

8. So, Link and the mysterious girl go through the (blank temples) to gain her (blank powers). These powers will probably involve the girl turning into different weapons or whatever (even though that sounds gimmicky as hell, imo.)

9. During this time, Link and the mysterious girl form an extremely close bond. The bond that they will share will either be a very close friendship or a parental relationship.

10. After Link and the mysterious girl go through all of the (blank) temples to restore/gain all of her (blank) powers, a MAJOR plot twist happens. (Cause you know, every Zelda game that ONE major plot twist about midway through.)


(OKAY, THIS IS WHERE IT STARTS TO GET A LITTLE FAN-FICCY AND OVER THE TOP - SO BEAR WITH ME, MMMKAY?)


11. The major plot twist will involve something terrible happening to the mysterious girl. My guess is that Link discovers that she must be sacrificed to destroy or banish the villain(s), or that her soul will be forced to reside within the Master Sword forever.

12. Link does not approve of this. Like, at all.

13. So, in attempts to save her from her doomed fate, Link and the mysterious girl then go through ANOTHER series of (blank) temples so that they gain retrieve the (blank.) Link hopes that the so-called (blank) that he's retrieving will prevent her from being sacrificed or whatever.

14. After Link and the mysterious girl are finished with their second round of item-collecting and dungeon dwelling, they finally find the (blank,) which will prevent her from being sacrificed.

15. But then, some crazy **** happens, and the (blank) is stolen from them and destroyed by the villain(s).

16. More crazy **** happens, and the Hyrule Kingdom is under SERIOUS attack by the main villain(s). Something has to be done, or Hyrule will face catastrophic consequences.

17. Link, who's still unwilling to sacrifice the girl, offers himself instead. In other words, he goes off do defeat the main villain(s) by himself, hoping that he doesn't lose.

18. Realizing that Link will be killed without her help, the mysterious girl then sacrifices herself in order to save him.

19. The sacrifice will either involve her permanently transforming into the Master Sword, or transferring her soul into the Master Sword.

20. Link, despite being devastated by the girl's sacrifice, is forced to use the Master Sword to defeat the Villain(s).

21. The Villain is either slain or sent into another dimension/realm.

22. After the final battle, Link realizes that the mysterious girl sacrificed herself in order to save him, and he'll be BAAAAAAAWING. Yeah. Big BAAAAAAAAW moment for the players, or something like that.

22. Hyrule is saved. Cue to ending credits that shows everyone living happily-ever-after.

23. Except for Link.

24. The last scene in the game will show Link (who's still all BAAAAAAW after the girl's sacrifice and all,) leaving Hyrule for another adventure. Eventually, he and his heroic tale fade into obscurity, or something depressing like that.

25. If this upcoming game actually ends up being the very first in the timeline or something, then it will hopefully explain the origins of the Master Sword. It may also explain why Link is the only one who can wield the Master Sword.


And... yup. That's my mountain of text for ya.

link meets a spirit (girl in picture) who's been seperated from the master sword and must find master sword Pieces to recreate it and stop gannondorf.

You know, if the girl is the Master Sword, or something like it, I'm pretty sure this'll happen. I'll make that bet.

Link is a knight at Hyrule and many people have been disappearing after leaving their towns. Link is sent out to see what is wrong, and ends up getting warped into the Palace of Twilight, which we call a darkened trail.
THE LEGEND OF zelda DARKANED TRAIKS

Link meets girl, girl turns out to be mastersword spirit. Link defeats evil, saves Zelda. Link says goodbye to his trusty companion Mastersword girl while putting her back in the pedastal.. Link leaves Mastersword pedastal and the mastersword will sleep FOREVAAAA until a new random Link comes....

basically all the same stuff we had with navi, tatl, korl, midna and ezlo =D YAYYYY

The more I read your idea, the more it reminds me of Majora's Mask.

First of all in MM, Link tries to find Navi and ends up deep in another land across the Lost Woods. Then he meets the Skull Kid blah blah blah... You get the rest.

It just sounds too similar and I don't have any ideas of my own to share.

I'm just going to go with whatever Nintendo presents us.

Nintendo will make Zelda Wii a crossover with My Little Pony......duh!

Meh...I'm tempted to post my Two Zelda ideas, but that would be heading into Fanfic territory...

I'll assume that this game takes place in some sort of catastrophic war, hence the fire and shattered stone wall. Link is doing what he does best and heroing his way through Hyrule. Then the blue fairy girl gets involved and most likely becomes the Mac Guffin that can end the war.

Hyrule has been taken over long ago by an evil sorcerer named Ceron (a name that just popped out of my head out of nowhere), and Hyrule is renamed after this sorcerer, now called Ceronia. How did this happen?

Ceron managed to get his hands on the Triforce of Power, Triforce of Wisdom, and Triforce of Courage. The Legendary Hero is nowhere to be found. From the Triforce, Ceron gains immortality and is able to overtake the kingdom of Hyrule. The King of Hyrule is killed and Princess Zelda is banished from the new kingdom of darkness.

Years later, Zelda attempts to sneak back into the dark land of Ceronia, disguised in cloak, and retrieve the Master Sword so she can kill Ceron and bring back Hyrule. When Zelda finally meets Ceron with the Master Sword, she attempts to kill him but it taken over by a powerful force. Ceron then enfuses Zelda with the Master Sword and sends her to an alternate realm, where only the (insert number here) sages can free her.

The game begins hundreds of years later, and your character, who of course will become this game's Link, is a slave who lives on an island far away from the mainland, but is still part of Ceronia.

And from there, the game begins, and I haven't quite figured out the plot. But basically you have to bring back the Sword Mistress, revive her, and use the Master Sword to kill Ceron.

I'm sure some of you may not be happy with Zelda being the Sword Girl, and I don't blame you. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to them. I'm writing this in a hurry so excuse me if some of the story sounds rushed.

I'm clueless as to the main storyline, but here are some things I'm really confident will be in it.

1. Girl is Master Sword
2. Game is set before Ocarina of Time and explains origin of Master Sword, or at least explains a lot about it.
3. Ganondorf is in it in some way (every game with the Master Sword has Ganondorf).
4. MS girl will be your fairy partner
5. It's in Hyrule (MS is always in Hyrule)
6. It involves the Triforce (MS always goes hand-in-hand with Triforce)
7. Will have a dark theme like TP and MM, but probably not as much as MM. (judging by the artwork)
8. Will feature more -fo/-fols enemies and Darknuts (Stalfos, wolfos, dinolfols, etc.) because of Wii Motion+.
9. Will have more unique bosses (because of WM+ and Miyamoto said the dungeons will be newer).
10. Link's right handed.
