Sounds like they can test the controls for Zelda Wii

First off, I know hardly anything about the process of game development, so excuse me if I sound stupid. But this small article and short video interview with Shigeru Miyamoto may implies that Zelda Wii is in a playable state, I guess. Miyamoto say of the game, "It's really fun to move your body around." He didn't say "It will be fun," he said "It is fun to move around," as if he has actually tested the gameplay.

Again, I know basically nothing about game development and I might sound clueless in posting this thread. But I would get excited about any piece of information on Zelda Wii. So, is this a big deal?

Your probably joking but still.

I highly doubt Miyamoto would let such information 'slip' in an interview about a still unannounced game.

If the balance board where to be included i think he would keep such detail quite under wraps. And he seemed to say it like an after thought, like almost insignificant information.

I do believe they must be in some sort of alpha version with some playable controlls already involved.

Have any of you considered that this probably means something more along the lines of "it is fun to move your body around, and we're gonna put some of that in"?

Damn. No way I'm buying a balance board for a game that could be mediocre, like TP.

Well the game better get 10/10 on every gaming website/magazine otherwise I'm not buying a balance board for anything.

Shoot, I'll do whatever it takes to get the full experience out of this game, I don't care how stupid I look playing it.

"Nailed it!"

Yeah, we really have no idea. Still, it's heartening that he can talk about it in interviews and provide very general bits of information.

I just cross my fingers that there will be a much smaller debut-to-release window this time. I know Nintendo have said words to that effect, but they are notoriously fickle.

Interesting...

Miyamoto might mean that it's fun to move your body around with WM+. Who knows if he's talking about the balance board or not.

The Motion Plus would involve even less moving about, as even the tinyest shakes and twists are registered, esentially eliminating the need for imitating full sword strokes.

I'd be really worried if they weren't able to test the game by now

We will have to run in place on the board to make Link move.

I hope a good lot of you aren't serious about the Balance Board, because I was joking.

Re: Sounds like they can test the controls for Zelda Wii

Shiggy said they would only implement it if people really wanted it. I would be up for controls like Mario Galaxy; still using the Wiimote as a controller but very little waggling. I'm sick of waggle. M+ is probably going to happen though, but what I'm really worried about is how difficult this game will be.

I mean sweet jesus, the franchise couldn't get any easier at this point. It's pretty annoying and makes the games quite boring.

Re: Sounds like they can test the controls for Zelda Wii

Yeah and they keep thinking of the "new" gamers. Screw that Nintendo we've been your customers for many years! Give something what we want!

I still think Nintendo does a bad marketing strategy. The totally focus on a different marketingsegment "the houswifes and the seniors" while the core gamer (who buy's everything in the first place) gets stuck with easy games.

And damn XD I still laugh at your signature OSM. It is SO TRUE!

I just don't see why they can't have difficulty settings for the games. It's done in so many other games, where they make the enemies tougher, why not Zelda? Just two modes would work, a beginner mode and an expert mode.

That would be so awesome. It would be the perfect way to satisfy both the lowly unimportant beginners and the fans that have loved the game for years!
