Exclamation Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

In this recent interview with Miyamoto, we learn a lot about Mario's origin and collectively some tidbits on Zelda as well. Miyamoto makes many references to Ocarina of Time in the interview. The last thing Miyamoto was asked was what his idea of a dream game would be taking full advantage of the Wiimote?

"I'm working on the next Zelda."

Speculate, discuss, whatever. This could be pretty big.

I concur with Manga Link. Will this be the same Link from TP, maybe but I really want to know who or what that girl is in the teaser poster.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

I still believe it's a new Link. The Link in the teaser poster doesn't have the same hairline as the TP Link, he has a longer nose like the OoT Link, and he looks considerably taller and more built.

Something tells me this won't be out until 2012 or 2013.

I'm preparing myself for another TP release wait.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

Sounds cool. Can't wait to play it. Im assuming that it will come out Q4 2010 or early 2011. They've been working on it for a long time now.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

Next Christmas would be alright, or early 2011. They seem determined to just work work and work on it, instead of wasting time making trailers and stuff, which is good. I think Nintendo will have learnt from the terrible delays of Twilight Princess.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

Well the main reason TP had such a delay was it was one of the last games for the GameCube and instead of just waisting the title for that system alone. They went ahead and ported it to the Wii because it seems they foresaw the potential in the system. And that's why it was delayed for so long because it was supposed to be out like April or June of that year instead it got pushed to November for a Wii launch title and a GameCube closer.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

And to this day, regardless of all those "finishing touches" I still think some of the coolest-looking elements were in that very early trailer ofr the game, and am still sorely dissapointed they were taken out - the coral reef, the (I suppose) original Ghoma, the Ent-like beings and the cats...

...Ah, Miyamoto just gave me a hype surge. xD Ahhh...I'll stick with late 2010, until it's delayed.

Not enough for a hype surge, but sounds like they're really going all out on this one.

Nintendo seems to be intentionally generating less hype than they did for TP. Maybe we'll be less disappointed.

And I am happy.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?

how can you say Link is taller in the poster? Hahaha, there isn't a scale to compare him to...

Also the Link is a different Link from TP Miyamoto said so in an interview (atleast I think it was him...) Sorry I don't have direct quotes, I don't feel like digging them up...

But I'm extremely excited! But I know I need to be preparing for a long period of hate and rage towards Nintendo, since this game WILL be delayed several times... What they put us through with TP's release date was ridiculous!! I had stopped looking up info on TP at a certain point so that I could better enjoy the surprises it had in store for me, and then it came to the first supposed release date, I looked for it while I was at Walmart, didn't see it, came home only to see it was delayed!!! grrrrrrr

You forgot about the huge mob of bokoblins, and the rainy cemetery-like place with the Stalfos...

I think TP is so hated for so many people because Nintendo set the bar too high for the game... So, I really think less hype = less dispointment (well, I was not really disapointed with TP, but most people were...)

It's almost been the TP release wait already... It'll be out in 2011 at the latest (Miyamoto said the zelda team is aiming for a 2010 release), unless nintendo decides to release a new console in 2012, which I seriously doubt.

Also why don't you guys listen to miyamoto? He said the game will be announced at E3 2010, we most likely won't be getting any screens or trailers before that.
