Unfortunately, according to Zeldablue (I think), Japan found TP too hard. Not difficult, hard, as in the game's difficulty wasn't too hard, but the controls were... or something like that. Maybe they'll implement Super Guide... "Legendary" Guide?

They...might've been impressed simply by the monster designs...maybe. I thought it looked pretty. Though it is my overhyped opinion that Z-Wii will the best looking game on the Wii. Lol. I'm actually not very hyped, just expect the best.
This game won't fail simply, because it's not being hyped enough. And the new partner is the last of my worries. There will probably be a "shut up" button.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?
If you ask me, "hype" is a mistake.
As I've mentioned numerous times before, the hype for SMG2 did not come from the trailer itself, but from the presence of a sequel to one of the highest-rated games this generation.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?
Like MM? MM had some major hype and a lot of people hit the ceiling when the sequel to their favorite game was...nothing like their favorite game.
This isn't going to be a copy-paste sequel. They're doing something completely different with the series. That's the hype, the completely unexpected. This is no TP sequel. The fact that this could be aaaanything, is the real hype.

Re: Miyamoto on Zelda Wii; his dream game?
Exactly. There's no way of knowing what's coming. And that makes the wait much better. SMG did not reinvent platforming, it perfected it(as far as today standards): If you look at it from a very critical point of view, it's newarly flawless in controls and level design. You have to be very nitpicky, ignorant and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-ish(see Yahtzee's review) not to realize how far they've taken the genre. Sunshine, on the other hand, felt a little too experimental and gimmicky with the F.L.U.D.D. thing, as much as I liked the game's setting and theme. Super Mario Galaxy was a return to form and a rebirth of sorts, and I expect the same for the other Miyamoto's masterpiece.
Making 3D orientation on a globe and inside a cube intuitive is one hell of an accomplishment. I see nothing short of greatness coming from the next Zelda, given what was done with SMG. |
