What do you think the storyline will be?

Since there are a few topics discussing I geuss I'll ask you what you think the storyline will be in the upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 2"? I don't exactly remeber the ending in "Wind Waker" so I might get some parts a bit messed up.

In the usual pre-game opening movie sequence the tell the players about what happned after Link and Tetra set off to find a new land. Link and Tetra find a vast peice of Land. Link, Tetra, Aryll, Grandma, and all the other people get onto the pirates boat and they all travel to the chunk of land. Tetra is given a royal title and Link was dubbed to a Royal Knight of Hyrule. Link gets a horse which is NOT Epona. It may be named Epona but is obviously not the same horse. Link's Grandma passes away and life went on.

One day in the deep murky sunken Hyrule a spirit is there (I'm hoping Dark Link or Agahinm). He/She pulls out the Master Sword from Ganons Head (He/She... now theres a thought) Ganon dies on the spot and then something wisps out of Ganons head. Suddenly everything around the place becomes dry and then the smoke thing slithers towards the person and enters through the mouth. The berson starts to transform. I'm thinking one of those Super Sayin transformations where they yell and muscles start to bulge out and stuff.

The person is now the new Ganondorf. The Master Sword... the one thing that could drive off the evil Ganon has now been turned evil itself. Ganon now weilds his own Master Sword. Link out by the beach one day sees Ganon approaching on a boat full of moonsters and stuff. Link rides off to the castle and warns the place. The new spreads and people go into hiding, Aryll then comes up to you in all the commotion. She tells you to follow her, you notice how that now she has a blade and bow of her own (I'm really hoping she plays some part... maybe a sort of backup like in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time). Aryll takes you down a drak tunnel. There she shows you some scriptures. She says that she though they didn't matter but now she feels that they will may come in use.

They are written in the aincent language and you somehow are able to read it. It says something about a twin sword to the Master Sword... the brother of the Master Sword and when they meet the "blades shall bleed" (Hah! I found a se for that) and all "Sheilds will shatter" that collide with the the two blades no matter how powerfull they are (HAH! Found a use for that too!). Link finds the Mirror sheild at some temple near the shore but it gets shattered during the final battle.

Then comes the Space World 2000 battle (without Link throwing his sheild down cause it breaks in my version) where it is just a one on one sword battle. No magic, no Zelda stupidly shooting arrows at you even though you have your sheild down. It's just like the Battle with you and Dark Link from Ocarina of Time but more challenging and then Nintendo will somehow have a "IN YOUR FACE" ending, even better than Ocarina Of Time Link stabbing it into Ganons Face and Even better than young version of Wind Waker 2 Link jumping up and driving the blade into Ganondorfs skull (that was great!) Somehow they will.... Here ends my version and if anybody actually read through all of my yammering I will be a bit surprised.

Since the land in the WW2 vids looks a hell of alot like Hyrule I'd say none of us can be sure what to expect since this is an odd more for Nintendo to do a Triforce sequel after years of normally doing a non-triforce sequel after the main release. Since we know that this is supposed to be the same Link from WW that means two things, either this new land isn't the original Hyrule but has a few similarities or somehow the original land of Hyrule has returned from the bottom of the ocean.

Its a different Link isn't it? There was an IGN interview and Aonuma (I think) said this is not a direct sequel to WW, but loads of people seem to think he said it is for some reason..

I really believe that this new land is the land that Link and Tetra discovered. Wind Waker ends on a note that suggests that old Hyrule is completely finished, with its King admitting its defeat in the end. The game then suggests a feeling of hope and discovery.

I think that in the new game, Link will have sheathed his sword (metaphorically) for so long, then some evil comes to the land. Link will then have to fight off this evil. The evil will probably not be Ganondorf, but some other force.

I'm thinking imprisoning war, or something else, we have no clue at this point.

Everyone seems to have different opinions on this, but I seriously believe that this is a direct sequel.. and it was "hinted at" not-so-subtly in a recent interview with Mr. Miyamoto that this is actually a direct sequel. Here are my thoughts.

Basically, when I think about hordes of Ganon's minions marching over the horizon, I'm thinking they're out for revenge. This could very well be sunken Hyrule from WW arisen to the surface (or something to that affect... I'm not sure what would have happened, but that's where the mystery that is Nintendo's plot comes in). The thing is, you see Link (whether he's WW Link or a new one) riding out of Hyrule Castle, and at the end of the Wind Waker, Ganon is sealed in stone in his tower behind Hyrule Castle. From what I can tell, Ganon's minions are coming to revive their king and Link is going out to meet them. What stories the game will truly tell, we will not know until it is released.

My theory stills tands for me. This game is before TWW, after OoT in Hyrule.

WHy isn't it a new land? Developed Land, a Triforce culture, and no sight nor indication in interviews that while this is 'TWW2' this is the same Link. Everythign i have seen and read goes against this being TWW Link.

So what I think it is is some massive battle where afterward that land becomes flooded, maybe this guy doesn't have the chance to defeat Ganon, maybe he can't.

I agree. I think it's safe to say all that. This Link doesn't seem to have pure blonde hair, like WW's Link, either. I think it's the OoT Link. If I can recall, the king of Hyrule said in WW that the hero did not came because he was called on another quest. A quest that's most likely not MM, because I don't think 3 days will matter, and Link wasn't called to Termina. He just got there by coincedence.

Well, that's my theory.

An evil theatens the land and a young(ish) hero rises to defeat it. Same as all the Zeldas. Going into any more depth is pure speculation.

If Zelda2005 was a direct sequel to WW, having someone pull out the sword from Ganon's head would be the way to go to have some kind of new evil arise. The twin master sword is a nice touch . It would definitely make that part of the trailer make sense.

I think the only one that can possibly know is Shigsy and his team.

But, I think a probable storyline would be an 'imprisoning war' themed game.

yep I will go with Zeldafreak++...Even though at E3 they said that The Hero of Time was old news..it is after OoT and MM and when Link is 17 years old...As it says in WW "but he never came" there has got to be a twist in there somewere.
But I really dont have a clue so we will just have so wait and wait and wait..just thinking about it is killing me.

I dont understand how anyone can make any assumptions or estimates about the storyline. All we know is that the Link is adult. Who is to say it is no the Link from OOT and is set after Majora's Mask? Who is to say it isn't the Link from ALTTP? Anyway, carry on.

I think it could go like this.

Remember why Link went on his journey (which ended him up in Termina) He was in search of a friend wasnt he? Well what if he gets out of Termina goes on with his journey ends up somewhere else (how long it takes him who knows) then ends up in the middle of a war... then he fights ect. But Mr Pig's minions decide they want revenge for what happened (coincidence that hes about the same age as he was when he fought ganon i dont know) they slaughter Hyrule while Link is off fighting somewheres else

Far fetched... i know but at this point all we can do is speculate, and knowing Nintendo we are probably so off track that its not even funny
