So, the new start date of the game will be on the 1st of August.
According to Conman's last post it is supposed to start today, however I know Conman wants to play but hasn't posted his army yet. So . . . ?
Anyway I believe I have maps from everyone who has posted an army, but just to be sure here are the players who have sent me maps:
HIKER Blak
Sailboat
Solsetur
Zeldafreak83
If you are a player but don't see your name on this list get your map to me ASAP!!
I will be away from my computer for most of the weekend so if I don't have all the maps by tomorrow (Aug. 2), I won't be able to create the world map before I leave.
I have received Conman's map and I believe it's the last one we need for the World Map. So here's the roughed in version. Click the thumbnail to see the full size.
When I have more time (and more details about Conman's territory) I'll make a prettier version.
If this game gets going over the weekend I'll catch up on my updates on Monday.
feel free to take some liberties with my land if it makes geographical sense (such as mountains going along the whole northern border)
Thanks for the permission. You can probably tell I've added some land in-between most territories so I have room to blend the different geographies together in the prettier version. For now, though, I just wanted to get this up so everyone can start strategizing (not sure if that's a real word, but I'm gonna go with it).

That did work out well for you. Although you'll want to watch out cause Conman really loves building high tech navies.

Well, the Conussian Motherland is a bit land-locked in terms of settlements...but snow and ice are just solid states of water...right?
Nice job with the map ZF--thanks again for doing it. I really appreciate that. And as for my own suggestions about neatening up the borders of Conussia--since my country is nothing but snow and might cause some problems since it has no coast--I could suggest two things.
1) You could turn the Northern border into a more coast-like area (but still keep the frozen theme) by making it look like Greenland's coast and adding some nice rocky cliffs and/or icebergs here and there.
2) You could make the river more delta-like at its entrance into the sea.
Other than that, I think it should be pretty easy to integrate. Maybe some nice frozen mountains with some passes to divide Conussia from the swamplands as well. I'll be curious to see what you do with everything.

Look comrades! Look out there beyond the frozen borders of your Conussian Motherland! Do you see that there are other nations in this world that are strange and different from our own?! I tell you comrades—we must move from this stasis our country has been in since time began! It is now that we must begin to consider the expansion of our glorious Motherland! It is now we must do this—when we have begun to discover just how plentiful our nation’s resources are! Do you see how we mine coal from mountains of our country?!—The heat it provides is our fuel, like the milk from a mother’s breast! With this new substance—this new energy—we shall show the world our might!
March comrades! March with me—your Tsar! March into a new age! March into the Age of the Conussian Empire!!!
Let the bands play to our might!

The history of Conussia:
For hundreds of years, the Conussian people huddled close together in small villages throughout their frozen Motherland. Unbothered by the other nations of the world who felt no use could come of such a barren country, the Conussian people enjoyed a peaceful isolation—the only luxury their nation could provide. But, as life would have it, the people were fragmented and the country devided into several city-states.
However, all that changed when all of Conussia was united under one flag and one leader—Conman21095—who led his people from the mighty city-state of Conscow to victory over the other tribes of the land. With this victory, the Conussian Empire was born and Conman21095 was crowned Tsar of the new country! But, like before, the nation was poor and barren…and the Motherland slowly drudged through the years.
Then the great-great-great-great grandson of the first Tsar—Conman21100—came to power and shown upon the country like a ray of sunlight! Under his leadership, the people of Conussia were put to work and the Motherland’s plentiful resources were extracted from the earth like never before. Industry flourished and cities grew. Even more importantly, culture and science expanded as well--greatly due to the wise-leadership of the new Tsar. The Imperial City of Conscow became a destination for the wise and talented and the Imperial University of the Science and Arts became especially renowned throughout the Motherland.
But the greatest discovery of them all was the day that miners—digging tunnels through Mount Conidan—found a strain of a strange new substance that burned even better than wood. This new substance…was coal! Immediately, the coal mines were expanded and fireplaces across the Motherland were filled with their warming fruits. A new energy source was born!
However, it was not until recently that the scientists of the Imperial University for Science and the Arts in Conscow got their hands on the new substance that coal’s true value was found. They believed that it could be used to power miraculous engines that, in turn, could make the nation of Conussia a world power! And so…the story begins…

This is the glorious Tsar Conman21100 of Conussia:
Forget what I said--today (Saturday) is going to be Day 0. Then, tomorrow (Sunday) will be Day 2. Monday will be Day 4, and so on. As such, keep your updates as they are for now and you can update for Day 2 at Midnight tonight.
Hello, friend! It has come to my attention that you, as the person who resides at my southern border, has issued a doctrine asking for assistance from humans who possess magical abilities.
Since I, your northern neighbor, possess such peoples I would like to discuss with you a treaty between our nations, which would allow a temporary trade of soldiers. You'd be able to use my mages (Asha'man) in battle and defense, with some regulations, while I'd be able to do the same with whatever troop you gave me.
If you'd like to discuss this further, please reply to me with a Private Dove - one that is fast, and has little chance of being intercepted. Then we can discuss terms of the treaty and troop numbers. (I.E. send a PM )
Aiel - A race of people who built themselves on stealth. They are agile, can keep in the shadows in almost any situation, and are expert fighters. They use double-sides spears, which gives them improved maneuverability over normal spear and swords, but restricts their reach in some cases. Extremely accurate with their bows.
Knights - Self explanatory
Footmen - Self explanatory
Asha'man - Male users of the One Power. Gifted with the powers of destruction, and they are relatively skillful with a sword. This group is divided into three levels of power:
Soldier - The most basic Asha'man. They are able to perform simple tasks, such as fireballs and lightning. They can prove to be extremely effective in defensive situations, lighting multiple troops on fire at the same time. Their reach is somewhat limited - about fifty yards - and their stamina is okay. They have some control over the earth as well, and are able to rip the dirt beneath the enemies feet if given enough time. Also good for basic preparations before battle.
Dragon - The second level of Asha'man. They have increased stamina and power over their Soldier counterparts, being able to reach up to 100 yards with their abilities. They are extremely effective in both offense and defense. They have the ability to terraform the land quickly, breaking up an enemies formation and giving way for charges. As well as this, they can launch fire from the skies as if from no where and conjur basic storms to mess with the enemies lines.
Asha'man - The most advanced level of Asha'man. They have most of the basic powers as Dragons, but their stamina is much greater and their power much higher. They are able to perform something called the "Razor", in which beams of light open up in the enemies forces - instantly shredding whoever comes into contact with it before disappearing. They can also use "Moon Flowers", in which lines of fire as if from everywhere bombard the enemy.
*Note that Asha'man are the rarest form, and there will be few compared to the number of Dragons and Soldiers. Also noting that they have to be trained in order, taking projects to train them. A Soldier would need to be trained into a Dragon before becoming an Asha'man. Each project takes ~2 days for five troops, increasing in number accordingly.
Aes Sedai - The female users of the One Power. They are granted healing abilities and mind tricks. They are best suited for defense, given their weak offensive - mostly consisting of flames and electricity. They can heal wounds, such as a broken arm, and even "trick" the mind into thinking that the body is not tired. Also good for creating shadows for troops to hide in and making images to confuse the enemy. In rare cases, they can revive troops*
*Project will be done to do this. Takes ~4 days, with ten Aes Sedai put on hold for every thirty bodies. They cannot be used in battle unless the project is put on hold.
Supplies:
Altered Hunting Bows (Aiel) - Improved range, accuracy, and power from normal hunting bows.
Double Sided Spears (Aiel)
10 (Female) Angreal (Aes Sedai) - Enhances abilities with the One Power, as well as provides increased stamina to their holders.
Projects:
Research and Develop "Nightflowers" [0/10] - An explosive firework, made from powder taken from the "Night Flower".
Tame Raken [0/6]

War... war never changes...

Spoiler: Descriptions
Tear - A multiple walled city in the middle of the Tairen kingdom. The walls are garrisoned almost daily, and have high towers on each wall stretching the entire length of said wall. The are also arrow slits inside the walls themselves, for archers to hole up in and fire at the enemy until they are routed. It consists of three "cities" - Lower Tear, Upper Tear, and the Stone of Tear.
When in dire situation, Upper Tear will always be given precedence of Lower because of the compact-ness of it. Many buildings in the Lower City are wooden, making it easy for fires to break out. Along with this, throughout the city marshes and mud is always present making progress throughout the city slow. Upper Tear is mostly stone, and much smaller than Lower.
The Stone of Tear is a gigantic fortress with hundreds of hallways, an entire basement full of hallways, and large towers on each side. It has one large room in the center of the fortress. The entire fortress itself has over 15 floors (six of which being basement floors), and thousands of passageways to get lost in. It's huge.
On the outside of the fortress, the walls have arrow slits carved into them everywhere, and is multiple layered to allow retreat to a second set of walls to continue bombarding the enemy. Along with this, the walls are infused with the One Power making conventional methods of blowing the place up, short of a total bombardment, nigh impossible.
The Black Tower - A large tower that houses the Asha'man's headquarters. Built into the center of a lake, the place is pretty much built for defense. It has several garrisons along the river to prevent/warn of impending attack, as wall as a large wall before the tower to prevent stop invaders. The tower stretches high into the sky, and has a small circular wall around it.
Rine - The keeper of the twin rivers leading up to Tear. It has no "walls" around it, and instead has high towers in several sections of the city to spot ships and fire upon them. The city itself is not very strong, and could be taken very easily. It's mainly designed to post pone invaders, as well as warn Tear of anyone coming to attack it.
Haunted Woods - Dense forestry with monsters inside. Extremely dangerous to outsiders - caution should be taken when traversing this area.
