It really isn't! Once you get a hold of the concepts, the game is easy to play. Now, beating your enemies is going to be the hard part.
Basically, the game boils down to building up your army through projects and unit recruitment, with the object being to defeat your enemies. Only until you declare an attack (or if you have to defend your base!) do you have to worry about all the number crunching, but even then you're going to have help from your opponent and the war mod (each battle has to be judged).
We'd love to have you if you joined! 5 is pretty much the perfect number of players
Eldir and Iron Fist: Here's a link to the previous incarnation of this game. A few of the rules are different, however you can still glance through and get a feeling for how the game works. We'd love to have you.
I myself wouldn't mind HIKER's suggested dragon army, but that's up to Conman to decide. Your other suggestion sounds interesting as well. Conman's basically gonna be the official referre grandmaster for this game (even though in the Landwars many decisions on official matters are often made via group consensus)
I say, hold off on the dragon ♥♥♥♥ until the next round. I have plans for a spinoff game with slightly different rules later down the road, in which that will DEFINITELY be possible
