Letter to Matt

If, by bomb defensive, you mean it defends against bombs, then I'm up for it. I will give you knowledge- knowledge of so-called "hydroelectric power," which generates electrical power through the use of water. The possibilities are nigh endless, from geysers to barges to even cannons and siege weapons. Just make sure you have PLENTY of water.

Thanks,
Tyler R.M. Bengal III

Ok, so me and castiel were talking, and because Jason broke the forums for a day, we'll just say that today didn't exist in the landwars. Continue.

Oh my Sir Ozzie I fancy myself a marksman, and when I see those poison arrows, I can't help but want them. How about I give you the armor, and the blue prints to my ice bomb arrows for the blue prints to your poison arrows? Ice bomb arrows are exactly as they sound. An arrow that explodes ice. Depending on how one shoots it, you can freeze massive things much faster than normal ice arrows, or when the bomb explodes you can send ice shards in all different directions upping the kill radius of the arrow. Do we have a deal?

How about my armor for your bunny hoods? Also I'd like for a case of Chateau. I think with my professor I can make super chateau that will not only unlimit ones magic, but also give one the power to ignore injuries and fight at full strength, even with a broken arm or similar. Or maybe even use it to give one doub le offensive power for a day as well. After creating it I'll send some and a copy of the blue prints back. Deal?

Well I was speaking slang as in the armor is amazing. It is as lightweight as leather. So units aren't slowed down, and they maintain maximum mobility, but here is the kick, they are as strong as full plated steel armor. Arrows can't pierce it, and considering it is stronger than what iron knuckles wear I'd say there is significant explosive resistance as well. but yea hyrdro electric power sounds awesome.

(I had all three of these replies alliterate and pretty sounding then jason broke the forums. Damned if I'm putting that much work back into this post sorry)

Log: The Iron Knuckles that my friend across the canyon toke haven't returned yet, but he only took 70 so losses will be minimal. Also bombs were finished today and I'm working on making a type of arrow that will explode like a bomb on contact. That would have made things very easy for the fight right now come to think of it. We could have just shot a volley of arrows and the rocks would be gone like that.

Build a strong defensive gate that secures the pathway to the Shrine from the Mountain village (4/4)
Bury Powder Kegs in strategic locations around the perimeter of the base to be used as landmines (4/4)
Build 6 watch towers around the borders (6/6)

Defenses:
The Union Wall- The wall is located the base of mount snowhead, right before the mountain village. It's a very large stone wall with a wooden gate. The gate has two turrets on either side with a beacon on each. The walls are wide enough for ranged units and smaller siege engines to pass through.
Mountain Keep- The mountain keep is a two-tiered keep at the mountain village. The lower level is spacious enough to house a large hero unit. The upper level is smaller, and is used for storage of troops or prisoners. At the top of the keep, there is a beacon. Range units can fire from the two tiers of roofs or embrasures in the walls of the upper level.
Watch Towers- Built by Goron Red, these towers are used mainly for observation and beacon signaling, but in the event of war, archers can use them as shooting stands. They border the Goron Shrine.
Temple Bridge (incomplete)- This large stone bridge replaces the ice one that was previously implemented. At the southern end there is a gated wall, stretching out as far as the cliffs. In the middle of the stone bridge there is a wooden insert that can be burned, leaving a gaping ravine.
Other Defenses- Powder Keg Landmines are buried on the pathway to the Goron Shrine. Kegs are arranged all the way up the mountain and can be released upon the enemy when needed. The invisible Biggoron is sitting in the pit of Snowhead and will blow units away whenever necessary.

Log: I wrote some ****. Apparently I really like beacons.

The maps of the land are quite clear. Between Snowhead and Ikana there exists a forest. This is going to be our way in. The troops will set out once they have reached snowhead -probably midday. Going over the bit of snow should be no problem for the dekus, who are naturally incredibly light and can fly. It should be about evening to night by the time they reach the forest. They will then set up camp for the night. Aswell as setting up piles of leaves and a few decoy dekus.

Phase 2: Some Fun

The Dekus, being well rested, will set up the canons in various seemingly random positions around the backside of the enemy base -within the forest- A ways back from each canon will be a ballista aimed at the canon. At every canon there will also be oil bombs, an entire stack of them. The canons will fire bombs into the camp, as many as they can get off before the enemy advances. At this point, the operators will jump into portable deku flowers after having set off a bomb. The blast will jetison the flowers away while simultaneously setting off the oil bombs. By the time the enemy reaches the scene, the ballista will be able to fire the torch and send the area up in flames.

If a deku is caught in flames, they will stab themselves non vitally with an ice arrow, thus negating the flames.

Once the canons are gone -I'm gonna say we have 100- the dekus will climb into the trees so as to blend in. They will then fly -using the much more discreet than pink flowers, merchant hats- from tree to tree, dropping bombs and shooting ice arrows from their various locations. Also please note they will have bunny hoods which will allow them even faster movement if they choose to jump and run through the trees.

Phase 3: Important Stuff

At this point, there should be a rather large focus on my force of 500 minus any losses. 50 of the dekus will then use their stone masks and sneak into the graveyard -they will scatter from eachother-, hopefully staying unseen. They will then gather intelligence.

Should the mod be nice to me: if we find the tunnel system, well we collapse it. Since it be collapsible, we have the bombs, so we just set it off so that there's no more little tunnel. -If reinforcements are called, I'd really hope I could find this tunnel.

Should the mod be nice to me #2: If we find skullkeeta, we will fire on him with ice arrows. If we are blocked by fire walls, we use the ice arrows to create a temporary passage.

The 450 will retreat if/when
They lose 300
The day ends

The 50 retreat when the day is over
if one of the war mod is really nice to me -both niceness factors are met

Notes:
All dekus will destroy all their supplies upon leaving them. The ballistas will be set alight after use so as to prevent the enemy from gaining them as spoils. A cornered deku will fire all his ice arrows in one shot. Etc.

We're using tactics that really haven't been used before or thought up. This should catch them off guard to say the least. I foresee much heavier losses on their side.

Letter to Matt

ZeldaZealot must apologize for this belated return letter.

Getting to the point, ZeldaZealot agrees with trading his Bunny Hoods for your special armor, will you agree that we will use ZeldaZealot Alien Ship for no hassle supply transport?

ZeldaZealot is skeptical about your plans on tampering with the effects of Chateau Romania and will need more time to decide on this, if you allow him do to so that is.

Re: Hyrule Land Wars: V6 - Termina

Defense

Troops
Composer Flat
1230 Iron Knuckles
800 Poes
500 Stalchildren
500 Bombchu
380 Wallmasters
3oo Nejiron
400 Skulltula
300 Garos
50 Keese

Total: 4430

Supplies:
Song of Storms
Captain's Hat
Tunnel network
Bows from sturs
Bombs

Phase 1: Cowards exposed
The emperor to the south troop's will be discovered by daily patrol. The security has been up do to the past few battles. Plus the extra noise from the construction of the ballista will give them away. Flat will play the song to the improve the soldiers combat abilities. Then him and a few other Poes and Garos with bunny hoods will escort flat to the enemy's troops and put him close enough so that the Song of Storms will effect them. The oil bomb and normal ones will now be mostly ruined and then him and his escorts will get the **** out of there.

Phase 2: Crushing the Maggots

Soon the main force will arrive some of the cannons may still be working in such a case the Iron Knuckles will assume the Testudo formation. The shock may knock the Iron Knuckles back, but they are heavy and under flat's song's influence. As soon as the first line of fire is done the Stalchildren behind them will fire taking out as many ballista operators as possible. When the Deku dispatch in to the trees the Garos with bunny hoods and Skulltula being the most mobile units will go after the Deku. The Stalchildren well continue to fire and stay behind the Iron Knuckles. The Knuckles will be in a defensive formation slowly advancing; The safety of the archers will be top priority. The Keese will fly through the trees trying to cause chaos among the Dekus as possible.

Phase 3: Spies Found
We are aware that the enemy is in the possession of stone mask so Flat back at the base will play the song. When the Dekus show up they will still appear as an out line and a very obvious one. As soon as the Dekus are discovered Poes and Wallmasters will attack the outlines and protect and important info with their lives. As a last defense Nejiron will form a last line around valuables.

Notes: All of the Garos and 1100 Iron Knuckles will be wearing bunny hoods. Skull Keeta won't participate in the fight unless attacked at the base. Remember the units will be under the effect of the strength song til the end of the day. Only 2430 troops will go the rest will stay at the base.

Re: Hyrule Land Wars: V6 - Termina

OoC: Uhh, yeah. Not to be a sore loser or anything, but the results from my attack on Talhoffer are utterly ridiculous. Seriously.

I'm pretty sure none of my troops had AIDS but even if they did I find it highly unlikely that all of them would drop dead of it all at once.

Stage One - Hell March

The main body of our troops comes, once again, via the river. We will send our humanoid units (with Stone Masks) ahead. They will gather around the Potion Shop where they will rest and form up. We will quickly deal with any enemies using our Dinalfos and Wolfos. In the mean time, we’re sending our platforms over, carrying our siege weapons, Beamos, ReDead, 300 Iron Knuckles and our non-humanoid ground units. Our archers will get onto the platforms as well when they get to the Potion Shop..

We will set fire to the forest and block the entrance by cutting down some trees, then about three quarters of out forces carries on towards the palace via the Eastern tunnel. Should the water have been poisoned by now, we will travel over it with our platforms. Our Beamos, archers and siege engines will shoot at anything that moves that isn’t ours, and anything that looks even slightly suspicious that isn’t ours, and we will throw bombs at enemies from the platforms as well. Special care will be taken to take out anything that could shoot our platforms out of the air. The remaining quarter will head to the gate t Termina Field and take it over, ideally by surprise.

In the mean time, our remaining Iron Knuckles (wearing Stone Masks) and 400 Wizrobes (also wearing Stone Masks) will hide near the gate from Termina Field to the swamp, though they will remain at a big enough distance to not be detected. The Wizrobes will kill any messengers sent to call for reinforcements from allies. Our Poes and Keese will do the same for any aerial messengers, patrolling the skies to the North-West of the swamp, and to a lesser extent the skies around the swamp in general. They will, needless to say, not get too close to be detected.

Stage Two - Crushing the Palace

Once the gate has been opened, our Iron Knuckles and Wizrobes from the field will stream into the swamp. We will keep a small garrison on the gate to keep any enemies from sneaking off and alerting their allies. The rest will head to the palace via the Western tunnel.

The troops from the Eastern tunnel will be bombarding the palace using our siege artillery, using our advantages of higher ground (well, platforms) and superior range to avoid being hit back. Should the enemy sally forth from the palace (or from the Temple, for that matter) we will advance on them from both the East and the West and crush them. Once all palace defences have been reduced to dust, we will simply march in and overwhelm them with our numbers. Then we will focus our attention on the Temple. We will begin with shooting a few ballista bolts through the tunnels leading out of Woodfall, killing all troops inside. Then we will send in all our Bombchus to finish the job of clearing the tunnels and the area immediately outside of it.

We will rush our units in before the enemy has a chance to defend the tunnels. From there, we will use our platforms to get to the Temple, which we will once again clear out simply using superior numbers.

[Strat still a bit rough around the edges. Will fine-tune it tomorrow]
