[T] Black Sky [M]
My first of two current novels, first chapter:
Chapter 1: Blue Sky Her eyes matched so perfectly with the sky she stood under; bright blue and full of light. With her long blonde hair, she swung her arms in a circle of joy, expressing the happiness she was feeling. Under her basic beauties lied a girl with an even sweeter heart; a girl who lived to love, and loved to live. She was truly the girl of my dreams. Amy Evermore is this girls name, a name I’ll never forget, and how could I forget a girl of this magnitude, a girl this influential. She eventually walked over to the bench I was sitting at, eager to see me it seemed. “Draco! How have you been?” she asked after breathing heavily. “Good, I’ve just been living life I guess.” Was all I could say as I starred in awe at her beauty. “Well, good! Listen I have to go, but I guess I’ll see you at work or something” she laughed, something she was accustomed to doing after every sentence she said it seemed. “Cya tommorow?” “Yep.” She waved and turned around, running to her car parked a few blocks away. All’s I could do was watch her back, as I sat on the bench, smiling with every thought of her that came to mind. The night grew old, half past seven was the time my watch read. “Jeesh, I’ve gotta get home eventually don’t I?” I said to myself. My car was also parked close by, maybe not even a block away from Century Park, in the middle of downtown Neo-Seattle. I entered the car, turned on the radio and drove off into the far and under a sky that was now setting into orange and red. The next day at work I found Amy and Kevin, a friendly co-worker who was about six foot two and was wearing his casual collard shirt and standard red tie, engaging in the usual water cooler talk. “Mournin.” Kevin said, lifting his paper cup of water. “Mourning to the both of you, what’s on the agenda for today?” “Usual stuff” he said with a sigh. “You know, type long reports, sit in are cubical all day, the usual.” “Great, see you around.” I said, waving my hand as I turned towards my lonely cubical. Even though I work with these people, it’s like I barley know them because of the isolation we strand are self’s in for ten hours a day. As the day progressed on, nothing seemed to change here at Kashmir Corp., one of the world’s largest entertainment and electronics manufacturer’s. This is the world of tomorrow, or so people thought. The year 2015 was intended to be the year of a new, more advanced civilization. It turns out it’s just like any other year, sure theirs new technology forming everyday, but no flying cars, no civilization on Mars and no cure for Cancer. In this world of “tomorrow”, we live are life’s the same we did say back in 2006; the same deal, same job everyday, same routine. I for one enjoy this, because the life of back then is just how I want to end mine; Peaceful and full of love.
